Definitely miss pheasant hunting not much of them left here .Have a 6 month old female liver German Short Hair definitely need to get back into it. Awesome video great dogs
Love watching your dogs! Great job on that long one you barely got. They sure were holding tight huh? Looks like a ton of fun even if they all were mostly hens!
Great video!! We do the same thing when we can't find a bird. Move away, let the bird settle down and let his scent build up in an area. Doesn't always work, but it works enough to keep it in the bag of tricks. Likewise, there is that fine line between letting the bird get a little further away from the gun and letting it get too far where the percentages of a good shot/mark start to decline.
Congrats on earning the VC title. I noticed your NAVHDA hat in one of your videos and I know what it takes to achieve that title. It was obvious that KLAUS was well trained. Nice clean retrieve and deliveries.I spent many years in NAVHDA as a handler and a judge. Nice to see quality dog work.👍
First time to your channel. Very nice vid. Klaus is one hell of an excellent well-rounded pointer. He’s a pleasure to watch in action. And you appear to be an excellent shooter - a lot better than this right-handed, extremely left eye dominant fool. May I ask who’s Klaus’ breeder is?
@@cjroutdoors4138 I’ll be damned. Thank you! I spend a lot of time north of Hayward grouse hunting, fishing etc…. I’ve had Brittanys all my life. And Chesapeake Bay Retrievers for duck hunting. I’ve had one GREAT Brittany and numerous good Brittanys. I think it takes that hard-to-come-by great Brittany to be able to perform as well as a good to excellent GSP. Or GWP. My 2 Brits are up there in age and I was thinking of checking out a GSP for my next dog. I’m definitely going to check out that breeder. Thank you!
@Mr Smartypants Klaus will have a litter on the ground within the next month. It sounds like he has a few spots available for females, It might be worth giving him a call if you are interested.
Nice work man! I enjoy how you handle your dogs. Best of luck of luck remainder of season, look forward to following along.
Best of luck to you as well! Thanks for watching!

Heading out to Huron area this week from WI. We hunt it every year a couple times….what size shot are you using?
I have been using 5 shot steel, I will switch to 4 shot soon. I have to shoot steel most of the places that I hunt. Thanks for watching!

Is KLAUS a DK or American bred GSP? NICE VIDEO! Did he get his VC title?
Klaus is an American bred GSP. He is a VC and is 2 for 2 in AKC Master hunter tests, I hope to finish the title this spring.

I can't remember, what is the O/U your shooting?
I am shooting a Stevens 555. They are cheap, but it gets the job done.

Could someone from out of state be able to find birds on public land.
