    I have overtly pulled nothing but black men and rejected every single one because they weren’t my style when it came to how they presented. They had not spoken a word to me before deciding that my “good girl” appearance and body was something they wanted to access and potentially manipulate. I have seen and met some fine looking black men. But if red flags and people whose moms dress them are the only ones coming up to me, I’m it doesn’t automatically say anything about what race or ethnicity of men I accept. Every single person ends up surprised that I have a backbone and dignity and have not allowed older black men to brainwash me into thinking that as a black woman I owe them my body and labor. A Korean-American guy asked me out once and I think there have been white men interested in me but too scared to ask me out. I’ve chatted with an Indian guy until I decided to stop tolerating the red flags I had chosen to ignore unlike those in black men because I did not make that automatic connection having never interacted with an Indian man before. Black men have traumatized me. White men too but less so. I am willing to date people that don’t retraumatize me. I will dress how I want, tuck my hair if it’s in the way momentarily, speak however I feel like speaking. Any man, any at all who tries to police what I do or make side-eye comments because of their own insecurities and misogynoir and overall anti-Blackness is not worth my time. I hope other black women can realize the same and clock the unique ways in which black men in particular will try to “humble” you.

    I had a realization as of recently. Men who are darker skinned than I am give me the most attention as opposed to men of my skin tone or lighter. Growing up I felt unwanted by black guys and I had a phase where I only liked white guys because of it. I found that they (white guys) were not outright malicious with degrading comments unlike the black guys I was around. This is a widely held experience for most women between medium to darker skin tones. By now we as black women should be doing better. I think some black women are not aware of how damaging their comments are or are so blinded by the standards imparted on them. Telling someone they "act white" because they don't do their edges or wear long nails or participate in certain trends is not okay. There needs to be a level of mutual respect and understanding that traits do not define your race and race is just a social construct. Moreover, being of a certain race or skin tone should not make you more desirable and the Black community as a whole needs to learn that. I'm glad you had this conversation because it was needed. Jokes have deeper meanings- to end with a quote I once heard: What is joke to one, is death to another.

    I grew up in the northern California and there weren’t many black kids in my elementary or high school. Our school district only had two 7th & 8th grade schools so it was the most black girls I’d ever been around at that time. I was really excited but quickly disappointed when most of them called me white washed. It was the Avril Lavigne, Good charlotte era and I dressed the part. I knew that and being semi reserved is what made them say those things. I told my dad and he said “if you’re proud to be black you can never be white washed” and I always was. Fast forward to my adult hood when my mental illnesses got much worse, mainly due to domestic violence within my family committed against me. When my brother beat my ass and I wanted to call the police, my family said that was white people shit. When I started therapy, they said it was white people shit. Any time I did anything they didn’t like, I was white washed and stuck up. It’s sad that we weaponize that against each other. I’ll forever be more hurt by my family saying it than people who dont know me like that. It never tainted my feelings about black women or black people as a whole, but it is a huge fucking problem and I’m glad you’re speaking on this.

    Listen up, black women. Before you start thinking you’ve reached some sort of pinnacle in society by being “desired” by white men, think about this. Did any of the slave masters have sex with black women (consensual, rape, whatever)? *Yes* ! Do you think he respected her and saw her as equal to white women or himself? ()If you answered ‘yes’ to that, then stop reading right here)) He could screw you *back then* and be racist and (though you don’t want even consider the possibility) *the same can also be true today* . Having sex with you, yet despising (or feeling superior) your race in general *aren’t* mutually exclusive. Both *can* be true. Here are a few of the real measures of whether he does or *can* love you…. 1. What’s his relationship and attitude towards black men? 2. What’s his thoughts about the overall socioeconomic conditions of black people (mostly systemic or mostly self-inflicted? He’ll lean heavily one way or another). 3. What’s his sociopolitical leanings (conservative, liberal, mixed, neutral)? 4. Has he brought you around his family multiple times? Are they “comfortable” in your presence? Keep in mind white supremacy is *DEEPLY* ingrained into the heart of America (everywhere) and white men in particular have to fight *hard* against this ingrained mindset to truly respect black people - and that doesn’t happen as often as you might think. And many of them who do cross that color line often do “revert to full white” in the relationship - it’s just a matter of what will trigger it (criticism from his family/friends, tired of the s@x, politics, meting your “real” black family members 😂😂😂). It don’t take much. DJVlad, Bill Maher, Gary Owen are some names that immediately come to mind………but you go ahead and enjoy that “ride on the other side” while you can.

    I was married for 12yrs and I never… not got asked if my husband was white. I either got told I look like I only date white guys or that they aren’t used to a young black man wanting to marry, but I’ve also never known one that didn’t want to marry me 🤷🏾‍♀️

  • @paintedhorse6880
    @paintedhorse6880 22 дні тому

    Can I just say one thing as a white guy? Ladies. Black ladies. If you are going to date a white man, pleeease do me a favor and do NOT start trying to conform in weird ways. I mean weird shit like wearing colored contacts and using makeup to lighten your skin and dying your hair platinum blonde to try and fit in. The one and only black woman I ever dated I loved because of how natuarlly secure in herself she was. I loved her natural curly hair. I loved that she was secure in her dark complexion and her sense of dress (she was haitian). If he tries to pressure you in that way, cut it off immediately. If he can not accept the fact that you are black, then you dont want to be with him anyway.

      Hi!! I love this message and understand it completely and thank you for posting it. I did have a few thoughts I wanted to share. It is pretty long and you don’t have to read it all on the spot you can come back to this- *Song of Songs 1:5* I don’t believe all black women change who they are for men of other races. I know you didn’t say that but I just want to put that out there. And you are hitting the nail on the head for some black women who think that way. But The talk that they wear different color contacts I really don’t see any of them doing that. But the part of bleaching has truth. there is a lot of colorism in the black community itself and in this world because of eurocentrism and just plain racism and the way black women’s regular beauty has been stripped from them by a society that calls them masculine, aggressive, too loud all of the Sapphire Caricatures in the book to keep them feeling like their at the bottom and for black American women to believe that lie and wear wig or contacts and then it’s a chain reaction where people have an excuse to further hate them. It’s like They said “since black people are physically free today and not enslaved mine as well just mentally enslave them”. Malcom X -“ The most disrespected person in America is the black woman” my question is if it wasn’t true why wouldn’t he just lie and say the black man? Because it needed to be said. Black women are also laughed about and generalized on podcast told they are “undesirable” and all these things mostly from black men themselves who self hate an example is A guy named Myron (I forgot the name of his podcast) people talk like this as if other races of women are saints when some of those other women are painting their faces brown and saying the n word and laughing and talking about the kkk and choking each other . *I will post all of the videos that relate to my message in the edited version* When Black women want to talk about these things and how they feel about it mostly on podcast guess what the comments say? “So if you don’t care why are you speaking them 🤣” or this sounds so woke. I’m just like How do you watch this whole video and still say something so insensitive and ignorant that is totally in favor of lifting up your bias mindset oh wait it's because it's in favor of lifting that mindset up. They use that word woke (which they take out of context) against black women to shut them up when they talk about racism against them and how the media portrays them on purpose and it’s all so demonic. They go through so much trouble and make themselves an antagonist against these women and for what? I don’t see the goal in overlooking their beauty a wise Person once said “jealously is a form of hatred rooted in insecurity” And example A black lady asked Quora this question: Why do white women death stare at me when I’m with white men *she then explained* “I was talking to my guy friend who is white and we were at the park laughing so hard about something and when we were done laughing I look over and saw this white lady like death starring me, I just thought it was weird but why did she do that” *The answer* They are used to be the center of Attention so when they see someone who is supposed to be “ugly” or ignored they get mad when it’s not happening I couldn’t agree more with that answer since so many other black women from had a similar experience in public they talked about how it made them feel like they are probably better alone and that this is all a curse because it’s exhausting. Up to date Statistics shows that BW+WM marriages and relationships tend to last longer than the other way around they have lower divorce rates amongst all types of interracial marriages in the U.S Black women still stay strong-minded, and the majority are very humble through these things in the world that’s why a lot of them are singers, dancers, actors, cosmetologist, etc. they pursue their dreams and keep an open heart to everyone they are also the most spiritual women the most followers of Christ rarely do you see a black atheist lady but it does explain how they have the strength to rely on God and do what they were born to do. God’s word already said they were beautiful and that’s why the world fight hard to make people think otherwise and I just hope more people will have God in the hearts to see through that lie 500 years from now. Black women are the only race able to give birth to their own and any race other race fully through which stems from genetic variation through ancestry. The first women being of color (Eve) thing that makes them even more beautiful inside is they are love hards, intelligent, sensitive, humble and the least racist group of women my thoughts is why would they be racist when they know how it feel like to be one the other side of the stick. Because of all this it’s easier for them to love all races of men like Asian men, White men, Hispanic men, middle eastern and Black. They are very nationally diverse and don’t all look the same act the same or talk the same. They come in all different shades from darkest to pale and that includes black women with albinism and those of them who are mixed like Zendaya, Amandla Stenberg,Yara Shahidi, etc. they can be from the Horn of Africa like Ethiopia, Kenya, Mauritius, Tanzania, Somalia, Eritrea, Djibouti( where my sister is) etc. South Africa, Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Haiti, Jamaica, Canada, America, Mexico, Trinidad, Dominica, UK, France, Germany, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, etc, And the African tribes of Asia- India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka. Melanesians from the island countries typically have kinky and Brazilian hair texture with the catch that it is blond and ginger for the majority and the have natural blue and hazel eyes down to the babies which hasn’t been given to them by external ancestry meaning white people it a separate gene made by God that gives them those features. Those from west And Southern African countries usually have 4A-4B hair texture that defies gravity and has curls and is puffy. Also it’s is very possible for a black American lady to have natural blue eyes it’s very rare with west African descendants because of hyperpigmentation in the eyes making it light and dark brown. And those from East Africa and South Asia have more silky long hair. And Ethiopians majority aren’t mixed with anything because East Africa is the origin and I would go out on a limb to say everyone else is mixed with East African I know I am. Alycia Pascual-Pena, China Anne McClain, Candace Patton, Ryan Destiny, Skai Jackson, Riele Downs, Keke Palmer, Carlacia Grant, Coco Jones, Aijona Alexus, Willow Smith, Liya Kebede, etc beautiful women. Anyway, I hope you made it this far I know I kind of rambled a bit and went into different topics but again I wanted to share my thoughts on things and thought maybe people should know.

    Through a certain aesthetic BW have subtle visual social cues that WM catch and BM don’t. I actually don’t think it’s that deep because you can definitely tell when a WW only dates BW. You change your cues aka switch up the aesthetic and so does your dating pool demographic.
