It started with coming across what Sara Blakey, founder of Spanx, said about her father, him always asking her:
“What have you failed at today?”
It didn’t stop there.
I came across a reel on IG with 3 examples:
• In an interview, Tom Cruise shared how he leans into doing the 'opposite' when he gets frustrated-away from the direction his mind is pushing him to react.
• Garrain Jones, who went from homeless and 6-figures in debt to a millionaire entrepreneur and speaker, shared how he does the opposite in every area of his life to exercise untapped areas of his brain.
• Brianna Wiest, in her book “101 Essays That Will Change the Way You Think” says: “It’s easier to act your way into a new way of thinking than to think your way into a new way of acting”
See, action is where it lies.
And I’m not talking about doing the same thing over again, expecting different outcomes.

Cool video, love the effort you've put in to this. I think maybe you have some points, but honestly I think the video has such an eye catching appeal that I just enjoyed it. Bad take. It’s not only a copy (literally shot for shot) of an lg ad from 2008, but it isn’t meant to be getting at any nostalgia. The concept literally is: look at all these things we took and fit into one thin device. Cameras, easels, games etc. All fit in it.
Yes, that was what I thought. I have no idea where the nostalgia angle is coming from.
Exactly, people are overthinking the ad way too much.
This is the link to the ad from 3 weeks ago on Apple's UA-cam page, that's the source I've based it on: ua-cam.com/video/ntjkwIXWtrc/v-deo.html There's no be-all or end-all; ads will always be subjective. That's my take of it, and adding the great Cher in the background music on top of it all, the way I perceive that is nostalgia.
Where is your conclusion drawn from with the iPad commercial - did Apple confirm they were making some sort of statement to capture millennials? Asking because I'm genuinely curious haha - as a millennial and an android user. Unless it's an iPod, I could care less about overpriced pretentious garbage....I'm just blown away that commercial was the product of an honest attempt to pull at nostalgic heartstrings. Because I genuinely thought it was just some generic artsy tech advertising 😂😂
It's what I perceive from the ad, knowing that they're openly focused on creatives as their target market. So destroying creative tools like a piano, paint, guitar etc that are what many creatives hold close comes off as disconnected. And people hit back against it because of that, that's why they took it down so quickly. The original Apple ad source: ua-cam.com/video/ntjkwIXWtrc/v-deo.html in case. I'm a millennial and Android user, too, haha. I get it, and I see their team was trying to go down that artsy vibe, too, but then they forgot who their target audience is.
One of my cats grabs me by the beard, when she wants my attention! So I guess, that beards are an attention getter! Play carefully, be kind, & smile often!

you are on youtube shorts... know your audience quick short snappy under 15 seconds i lost interest could have summed it up in two sentences YOUR BRAND IS LACKING TRACTION? DONT PUT YOUR BRAND IN A CORNER "cue dirty dance clip" its more dynamic and bring the viewers atention (make the viewer wonder why is the clip relevant to what you just said) if u instill curiosity in the viewer youll even catch the attention of people that arent even interested in branding more views dont put yourself in a corner
