Crawfish Texas Toast
Crawfish Texas Toast
Ingredients
* 2 Boxes (16slices) Texas Toast
* ½ cup Cajun mayo
* 2 tablespoons butter
* 3 Tbsp garlic, minced
* 1 pound cooked crawfish tails
* 1 bunch chopped green onion
* 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
* 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
* 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
* ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
* 1 (8oz)Block of MontereyJack grated
* 1 (8oz)Block of PepperJack grated
* Garnish: parsley
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400degrees.
2. Place bread halves, cut side up, on a baking sheet. Divide mayonnaise between bread halves, spreading evenly. Set aside.
3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. cook until softened, 5 minutes. Add garlic, and cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add crawfish, green onion, and parsley, stirring to combine. Cook until crawfish is heated through, about 5 minutes. Add Cajun seasoning and cream cheese. Remove from heat, and stir until cheese is incorporated.
4. Divide mixture between Texas Toast, spreading evenly to cover. Top each half with cheeses and paprika. Bake until cheese has melted, about 15 minutes. Increase oven temperature to broil. Broil 6 inches from heat until cheese has browned, about 2 minutes. Top with parsley, if desired. Serve warm

What's that white stuff? Looks like cream cheese but I'm not sure. This looks delicious, maybe the best thing on this channel, I definitely will try this. Have you tried frying it instead of baking, if so would you recommend it or stick with baking? What about pan searing it for a short bit to make it crispy before baking it?

So up here in the rust belt, it’s an inspection sticker, we also have to have an emissions sticker depending on what county you live in.

When I was living in SE Louisiana, Lacombe, Slidell, Chalmette, it was always a Brake Tag, and it was almost always expired.

@@HymelsKajunKitchen I’m not being the food police! It’s ‘ok’ with crab boil! I’ve had it before! But crab boil does not add Unami! If you ever feel adventurous? Add a little Worcestershire Sauce! Or half crab boil/half Worcestershire Sauce? Just my opinion! But please try it! Just a splash! It can be overpowering, like crab boil! The goal is not to taste it, but only to add some Unami! 😘
