    These are nothing more than spec cars. Bumper cars on steroids. They're no longer stock cars as indicated in "nascar". Has no resemblance to any car or truck I've ever owned. However, it looks just like my RC cars even down to plastic with decals. Where did they get the ideas for these cars.

    I was there in about the 15th row. I was 17. The heat from the fireball blew past me and the first several rows cleared out in panic. I was terrified. This was my second such event. I had been to one 500 when I was 8. I was sitting directly across from where Bill Vukovich flipped upside down and burned up. I haven't been to an auto race since, nor do I plan to.

    We were visiting my grand parents and myself my brother and cousin were going to listen to on the radio but we were having two fun in the creek where my grand parents lived. My uncle come to pick us up. He saw the race on close circuit. I can remember when we asked him how the race went. He told us what happened. Driving home that night in a dark car I wept in the dark. Nobody was talking. I was only 13 years old.

    Went to my first race in 1975 and was a devout fan who went to races all over the country and watched every race on tv. The France family has been destroying nascar for years and between them going woke and this car it’s become a joke! We now go to dirt tracks and watch great racing and hardly ever watch nascar races anymore because it’s a snooze fest!

    Thanks for this. Plymouth made 1900+ for the road because 1970 NASCAR rules were that at lease one car per 2 dealers was needed to be "production." That led to Plymouth stylists making the nose a little less pointy and the rear roofline being slightly more vertical. They had seen how it wasn't easy for Dodge to sell their 500 needed under 1969 rules.The Plymouths all had vinyl roofs to cover rough welds for the roofline compared to the standard Plymouth.

    I like the option,and I was thinking of that idea,I like your vision,and here is my option for the playoff format,Nascar could do simply like this,Top 16 in regular season make it in,the "win you in" would be dead,and i will keep the format of the 3,3 and 1,because i think that NASCAR will not let go that format,but because the "win you in" is gone,they have to be consistent to win the title,we could keep the points sistem for 1 spot will give 1 point,And give 5 points for leading the most laps,and do a give 1 point to the top 10 drivers with the most consistency for most of the race,final 4 will be at Homestead and will be simple,the first of those 4 drivers wins the title. And if someone will try to do a 2013 spingate,will drop a small penalty. 500 driver and owners points penalty for all the team and I mean,ALL THE TEAMS DRIVERS. Crew chief and race director suspended for the remainder of the season in all 3 top nascar series. a 500k fine. And all 4 drivers will have to start at the back of the damn pack for the race after the race the penalty come. and I could maybe keep stage points because if I'm being honest,I prefer more the race to stop,go to commercial,and come back for the restart,than going to commercial in the race and go back and see the race in caution for a crash that we did not see.

    NASCAR’s problem is it was just dumb to copy Americans team sports regular season and playoffs model full stop …… yes the motorsport traditional championship format where all races are treated equally ( unless a race gets shortened) like f1 or the Winston cup can be boring if one driver wins race after race in the first half or 2/3rds off the season and wraps up the title mathematically making the remaining races dead rubbers … but it’s no different to international soccer’s league systems but how does the worlds 200 nations (other then mls and one or two others ) get around this potential issue … they all almost hold a different “cup” competition that is similar to playoffs except it happens “simultaneously “ with the league during the season not just after it ( except maybe the final game only) having 2 competitive titles going on at the same time means no matter how much a single team dominates a league you always have a potential shock in the one off cup games in between! That’s why the “double “ is even now quite rare in club soccer …… so my simple solution for NASCAR’s is like indycar had multiple drivers championships in the 90s you do the same you have 1 traditional championship that awards points exactly like say f1 does … and then a second championship that can still “keep” the chase title/sponsorship except it follows the same points per race format as the traditional championship with only the added difference that points ALSO get multiplied by the race round number … so the later in the season it is the more lucrative the race is in points terms with maybe the only the only exception to this is the Daytona 500 … so even if a driver is running away with the normal traditional title the races at end off the season are still are not dead because the last race can maybe be 30-40 times more lucrative then a race at the start off the season for just the “chase” title points only …… so it’s super likely that you still have the chase title up for grabs during that last round if not the normal championship and will a driver win the “double” /both championships going on that season …… ? Everyone will be happy constantly good drivers will get the traditional championship like they should but drivers who are great on their day will be off even greater or equal threat in the modified chase championship!

    I really like most of what is said in this video The reason I say most, is because of I like stage racing. Okay, let me clarify, I like the stages, I don’t like the cautions. I would remove the cautions entirely, like they did at RCs in 2023 But I like your fix for that with the Top 10 average getting points too though

    • @szymonkunda2197
      @szymonkunda2197 28 днів тому

      The problem is not with him winning but rather with him qualifying for the playoffs. I guarantee you it would be the maybe the most popular win this year if it didn't mean Burton making the playoffs. The fact that you can be 34th in points, have no good races apart from one win and still be among "the best" 16 drivers "fighting for a championship" is what makes people angry about it. I used to like underdogs winning because normally it's a great story. But now I don't like it because it means someone not deserving a playoff berth makes the playoffs

    Your idea isn't a bad one, but I do have a different idea: - So the one idea I like that you suggested is replacing Stage Racing with average running position bonus points. I also agree with bringing back leading laps and the most laps. - Adding to that, I would also include bonus points for the pole winner on qualifying day, bonus points for the fastest lap of the race, and bonus points for the fastest 4-tire pit stop of the race. - So how the bonus points would be scored would be as follows: Average running position, (1st-10 pts., 2nd-9 pts. and so on until 10th-1 pt.) 5 points for leading a lap, 5 points for leading the most laps, 5 points for the pole sitter, 5 points for the fastest lap of the race, and 5 points for the fastest 4-tire pit stop of the race - I would also use the 2007-2010 Latford scoring system, which is basically the Latford Winston Cup format, but with 185 points going to the winner before bonus points. - I would keep the 16-man field, but like you, get rid of the "Win and you're in" rule for not just getting into the Playoffs, but each of the rounds, as well. And it would just be the top-16 in points instead of the Win and you're in rule. This way, you can also eliminate the need for waivers. - My structure would be 1-3-3-3 in terms of how the rounds work. • The opening 1-race round would be the Wildcard Race, and that would appropriately be held at Talladega. This will give the Wildcard drivers (the 13th-16th place drivers) a one-race shot to advance into the actual meat of the Playoffs. • Then each round would have a unique opening race, a short track or 1-mile track race, and an Intermediate Track race. • The second round can be Watkins Glen, Bristol Night Race, and Kansas. • Round 3 would be the Charlotte Roval, Martinsville, and Las Vegas. • Then the final 4 round would be a dirt track race, Phoenix, and I'm with you on bringing the finale back to Homestead. - I'm also keeping Playoff Points, allowing them to carry over round to round, and build upon winning races. I feel by doing this way, you're putting actual meritocracy into the Playoffs while still keeping the entertainment of the Playoffs. I'm ultimately with you, though. Just get rid of the Playoffs entirely.

    @Thomas_4308 Місяць тому

    If I was to fix it I'll probably do it one out of two ways. Determine how many points you are you will be in the playoffs or you can still keep the wind in your end system for the current playoffs but just make the playoffs points related
