Don't waste your money and energy in order to run slower. In the past, expensive automatic transmission wasted a lot of energy, so there was a reason to use manual transmission. But with DCT, you can drive faster by focusing on handling and braking. Only 7-speed DSG Golf R wins EN DCT which wins all MT cars(300hp) even in drag.

"Not having the tail slide of a front-engine/RWD"???? Are you stupid? 911s are known for their over-steer. Porsche has simply engineered it OUT of their cars, because early 911s were killing people with their lift-throttle oversteer. It's just that you're not a good enough of a driver to slide a modern 911, and Porsche doesn't want 911s to oversteer. That's for juvenile losers, not real drivers. You really don't know that much about cars.

the biggest problem of g37 is its esp programming is too intrusive and cant get rid of it in complete stock form,this is a problem since v35.But its esp can be completely disabled by cutting the power to the Bosch gyroscope module thus the esp system(or vdc as Nissan marketed )can’t receive the information of angular velocity/acceleration then the esp is completely off-line.The braking limit-slip program (BLSD,brake-"lsd")will still stay on which is good for dynamic driving.The decision Nissan finally make to keep the esp permanently on is always bothering me ,even 370z has this exact problem,while Nissan’s development team are fine-tuning the whole car here and there,at some point somebody still insists to keep esp permanently on

Considering the BRZ having an awful 0-100 on your leaderboard (dunno how you guys pulled that off tbh) the difference of 1,2 seconds could be attributed to that alone, hell, just look at the contrast between their top speeds, must've been quite fast during cornering to get that close. Anyways, these tests are cool and all but to be as accurate as possible every car would need to wear the same tyre under the same conditions - which is way too much effort to be fair.

The CTR will hold its value, and do it looking really good. The N is gonna age poorly, from a design perspective … too many sharp angles and typical embellishments.

The FL5 is just WAY too expensive in my eyes. It costs 59k here in Germany, you can get a freaking Mustang GT for that. The i30N here costs 42k fully equipped, with dealers giving a nice discount; got mine for a bit less then 37k and it has everything except the panoramic sun roof.

Not sure if you're allowed to turn it off in your Country, but if you drive with stability control (ESC) on, it'll add significant heat into the brakes. You can also remove the decorative "N" plates from the outside of the caliper to relieve some heat. Not sure what the differences are per the nation's, but I have yet to boil the stock fluid on my US Spec 23 EN MT. but I also turn ESC all the way off, which has led to some surprise drifts on cold rear tires.

In Australia, the Type R is 15- 20K more expensive. It makes the N even more appealing as it’s such a great weapon.

Gotta remember how terrible hyundai is to their customers though, especially any N models.
