Hopefully you have good news by now about the motor. I have a 2021 2607H, bought it used last month with 439 hrs on it. It has served me well and hopefully continues to do so.
Thank you for the comment. I have a verbal agreement to swap my 2605H for a 2860E that I have had for a little over a month, but I am still waiting for the paperwork to be completed. I will have an updated video shortly. May you have good luck with your 2607H. May you have an awesome day!

do not see many Massey tractors videos, Massey tractor is one I am considering to buying.
Thank you for the comment. As soon as the paperwork is done on this tractor swap, I will do a review and comparison of the 2605H and this 2860E. There are things I like and dislike about both tractors. I look forward to bringing you more content. May you have an awesome day!
excavator is a must to stump a lot unless you are retired with nothing else going on.
Thanks for the comment. That is a great point. May you have an awesome day!
We used a 385 Cat excavator with a narrow bucket and a thumb to remove a lot of stumps at a construction site back in the early 2000's. We were able to grab and pull out all but the biggest stumps. That thing was overkill for the job, but we used it for a lot of other dirt work so it made sense to use it on the stumps since it was there.
Thank you for the comment. An excavator would be awesome to use. I like experimenting with equipment and may try that in the future. One thing I have discovered with this piece of property is that trees are brought down by storms on a regular basis, and I still have many stumps in the woods that present the opportunity. Thanks again. May you have a blessed day!
Nice job, that's a very good looking tractor and I love the implements.

Im glad you've got your power back on. As for your questions about the squirrel, Ive heard that they take nuts from all around the area and when they find them they bury them into the ground as you see here, to save them for later consumtion. The squrrel forgets about them 80% of the time, which makes the squirrel 100% reposible for new tree growth in its area.
Thank you for the information. That is fascinating, I always wondered about that. I hope you have a very blessed day!

How large does a gator need to be to take down an adult human?

The num 1 good reason to have 🐊 in your pond is they keep coyotes out of you cow pasture. I live along the lower Dismal swamp area of North Carolina and I have Bob and Henry to keep coyotes from going after my cows, especially the calf. Coyotes have only 1 way to get to where the cows are, it's swimming across the pond. The gators are separated from the waters where the cows swim and hang out during the day and it's shallow in that part, so no worries about the gators going for the cows. I have no problems with coyotes now, as I rarely even hear them howl at night anymore and never see them . Henry is the main boy who lives in the pond with his girls, and he's around 12-13 ft and 1,000l lbs. Little boy who i call Bob is a visitor from time to time does his part at the other end of the pond and downstream, he's about 10-11 ft and maybe 500-700 lbs.
That is awesome. We have some coyotes and bobcats that i see on the trail cameras, but I never actually see them. Thank you very much for the comment and information. May you have a wonderful day!
If the cows had horns wouldn’t that allow them to defend themselves from the coyotes?
lol don’t the alligators eat more fish than an otter? And the otter won’t attack you or your pet. I still don’t like gators, thankfully I’m up in Canada. Floating in lakes without a care in the world.
Gators don't swim as fast as the otters, and our fish population seems to be improving since Bashful showed up. Gators are like moose, bears, or any other big animal. As long as you use appropriate caution and respect, you are fine. By the way. I think moose harm more humans every year than any other animal. Thanks for the comment, and may you have a wonderful day!
having 10ft/3m aligator around is crazy, i,ll freak out every time leaving the house
Thank you for the comment. The six foot alligator was more concerning because it showed no fear of humans. Bashful seems like a more normal alligator by avoiding humans. May you have an awesome day!
Well done from across the pond in the UK . Gloucestershire . Cam

Thank you for the comment. May you both have an awesome day!
Sorry to hear about the motor. That is not a normal issue. I wouldn’t be worried about it going forward for the Massey as that is a pretty reliable motor from what I understand. That Yanmar engine would likely be coming from Japan or China depending on the Yanmar tractor you bought, not Georgia or much is a US assembly plant for Yanmar. I believe the closest dealer to you for Yanmar would be in Ocala not Gainesville.
Thank you for the reply. It has been 2 years since I researched the tractors, so you are probably right about the nearest dealer. Do you have a Massey Ferguson? I was told by my dealer that the 2605H was discontinued already because they tried to make it too simple. Is this turnaround time normal for tractor companies? I took my original video down because I would not want someone to have the same issues I am having. Thanks again for the information, and I hope you have a wonderful day.
@@matthewrussell5620 No, I have an LS MT 342 cab tractor which is new. Had a John Deere 2320 for 17 years prior. Most of my neighbors who are big farmers all bought from Hobo tractor though. They are the best dealer IMHO in the area. I would have bought from them, but really wanted a cab, and it would have been considerably more money to get a cabbed Massey Ferguson. I am a light user though, and what I do is property maintenance only, If making my living off the tractor, the Hobo and Massey it would be. Your 2605h is a very heavily built bare bones machine. Neighbor has one (not sure if it is the same HP model, but same overall tractor) that gets a ton of hay work done. A good alternative for you would be a Massey 2800 series M model which are very reliable made in Japan by Iseki (Massey doesn’t build any of their compact tractors, most are made by Iseki). These models come with a very nice hydrostatic option or a very nice hydraulic shuttle shift. I was seriously considering the slightly smaller 1840m model Massey Ferguson, but the cab version would have cost more than I was willing to pay.
Thank you for the information. I spoke with Massey Ferguson and was told that Massey Ferguson has parted ways with the manufacturer in India that made the MF 2605H, and the model has been discontinued. They are under contract to provide parts for 15 years, but the soonest that they can have a motor in the states is October 13, which certainly creates concern. According to Massey, Hobo was supposed to give me an update, but I never get a call back from Hobo and only get updates when I call them. May you have a blessed day.
Most recent update is the motor may arrive in DECEMBER
@@matthewrussell5620 now december, not a good selling point, ive been looking at the 2605, an others
Birds with long necks are freeky. I like the ones that are basically cylinders
Thank you for the comment, as it helps the channel reach more people. May you have an awesome day!
So, what is your recommendation of the model?
This stump bucket works well for me. I think a longer bucket would be easier to see the tip so you could be more precise, but until you attach it to the tractor you are using and can see the actual visibility you won't know. Once I build the channel up to where it is paying for the implements, I will experiment with other stump buckets and other methods for removing stumps. I am going to use the stump bucket this winter on an oak tree stump that is about 20 inches in diameter this winter to see how it handles oak stumps. Thank you for the question, and I hope you have an awesome day!
You know, if you would utilize the RPMs of the engine to increase your hydraulic flow, you would have more force against the stump. Running the tractor at idle and using the linked pedal is not doing you any favors from an efficiency standpoint.
Thank you for the information. I will do that on my next stump. I have about a 20 inch oak that came down this summer I am going to work on this winter.
@@matthewrussell5620 That will make that tractor work. Cheers!
Good video, i am thinking of ditching the finish mower for a flail, with a set of hammer blades as well for rougher situations
I am going to sharpen a set of hammer blades soon to see if I can see a difference in the cut. Thank you for the comment!
It's probably either a Coal Skink (5-7 inches in length) or Broad-Headed Skink (6-12 inches in length). The male of either species head will turn orange like this during the mating season.
Thanks for the information. May you have an awesome day!
What is the lift capacity of your tractor .

I absolutely love that tractor. The 2600 h series is a beast!
It sure is!
What was shipping like from Amazon on the bucket? Did they have to deliver it via frieght? I want to get one but a tractor trailer could never make it up my driveway. Thanks
I ORDERED from Amazon. Not next day but well within two weeks. Delivery was free - as a Prime member. Tailgate delivery was good. I used my clip on bucket forks to get it off the truck although the delivery was able to get it down to the ground if needed.
The Titan attachment was delivered via semi and I just had them stop at the end of my driveway so I could unload it with the forks. Thanks for your comment.
SSQA worked perfectly on my LS XJ2025 diesel tractor less than 5 minutes to get the bucket off the deliver truck and onto my tractor Stumps come out of the ground almost magically Big stumps and roots maybe 5-10 minutes Finished 5 acres of brush stumps (50 + stumps most with 3-5 inch stumps and up to 16 foot roots in 3 hours Saved over $1,200 in fees for stump removal to be able to till the field
Thanks for the information. I had never heard of Jenkins Iron and Steel before and their stump bucket looks like it would have more leverage than the Titan. I like that they are made in the USA as well. I may have to give one of their implements a try. Thanks again. I hope you have an awesome day!
That is neat. I’m 50, lived in the country my whole life, feed squirrels their days ration of walnuts at my kitchen windowsill & haven’t seen it before either. I’m wondering what the root is he’s enjoying playing with. Might have a slight catnip type of thing to it for him. I’m loving your videos!!
Thank you very much for the comment. I have a squirrel on our new property that plays with twigs and does flips as well, but haven't been able to catch it on camera yet. I have a better camera now so when I do maybe I can better see what it is playing with. I hope you have an awesome day!
