Hello Katie, Merry Christmas I hope Santa brought you lots of presents ( in your favorite color purple lol ) well it was a quiet Christmas for me and my husband, my family lives in Florida ( Iam still getting over pneumonia 😔 so I couldn’t travel ( still having a bit of a breathing problem , no fun when you feel out of breath all the time ) I did enjoy the last episode, yes loved Brianna knocking out Rob ( she’s her father’s daughter for sure Jamie ) and Jemmy was great, figured out how to get out of that tunnel ( remembering what Brianna said ) I am reading the book along with watching the episodes, Ian and Rachel very nice scene ( did Uncle Jamie give Ian any tips lol if he did he learned it from Claire ) I’d say Claire was a very good teacher ( wasn’t Jamie a virgin on his wedding night ) good chat ladies, but If Iam going to watch any one making love it’s Jamie and Claire but Iam willing to watch others it’s just a bit different lol Happy New Year 🎊

Nollaig Chridheil! Merry Christmas! Thanks for sharing, Katie! Outlander does pay attention to the details very well except in one instance. The Battle of Monmoth coming up was held on the hottest day of the year! It was a scorcher with people dying from the heat. Outlander has the Battle shot with snow on the ground! We know that Scotland decides what the weather will be on any given day & you could have all 4 seasons in one day there! So, it is understandable somewhat. They could've filmed the battle when it was summer in Scotland, and just film it out of order to better use the appropriate weather more. I don't know. Maybe when they were shooting in summer, it was still cold with snow? I really do love this series & how they are maintaining the written word of the books this season. They are really doing a splendid job at bringing the books seamlessly to life.

Telescope! 😆 Your hem-hawing around trying to think of the word made me muddle-up my own vocabulary as well and I had to go ask my son, what was the collapsible see far thingie. He looked at me like I was a pitiful mentally damaged toddler for a moment. Periscope, microscope, kaleidoscope, TELESCOPE. Ha, I found it on my own after all as my son was mentally scoping out the names of eldercare homes.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Katie, and yes those are some expensive tickets but what the heck if you can afford it and it is something you’re doing once in a lifetime then go for it ( ps are you sitting at a table with Sam Heughan himself lol Jamie Fraser ) or is it some of the cast and or tshirts,food,photos and yes meeting fellow Outlander fans which would be fun any way hope you had a great time and you did get your moneys worth from this convention and who hasn’t heard a curse word now and then ( let’s be real ) the thing is once season 7pt2 and 8 are done it looks like it’s done 😔 but Iam hopeful Diana Gabaldon finishes her 10th book and it’s made into a movie or shown on Starz ( keep my fingers crossed, I did see a few familiar faces , women who are true blue,spend a lot of money fans lol ( is her name Batgirl ) well thanks Katie I guess since I’ve never been able to attend any of these events ( I did try ) I live thru your adventures Thanks ❤❤❤

Great video Katie! I believe those little pennants are known as prayer flags. As they flutter in the wind, they send out Buddhist prayers. Ideally they don't usually lay on rocks.

Hi Katie! I believe they were sacred flags that were laying on the rocks! I saw them in all the pics from Nepal! Loved all those pictures from Sam’s trip! I imagine it was very challenging for Sam but I’m sure he enjoyed every moment of it! I was just wondering in some of those scenes was that Everest in the background? That video with Sam and Steven was very amusing! That Steven is a real character! And last but not least watching Sam and Cait banter about with each other is almost as entertaining as watching them in the show! I really feel that they enjoy each other’s company! Hi Ladies! For those not Katie, I'm a long time commenter and at one time Katie's only discussion partner but I've been missing for a few months. Glad to be back now. I was hoping to catch your recording of this episode even if I wasn't participating in the discussion but just missed you. I can do that, can't I? It was great to hear 3 readers discuss in such detail. I discovered The Books when Dragonfly came out and have had to replace my original copy of Outlander because it was falling apart after I read it so many times. Is the show into MOBY now? I only read that once so I've forgotten some things. The scene on the table didn't seem familiar to me either but I _really_ didn't intercuting that with poor John trying to escape. I've got some other thoughts on this episode but I'll maybe include on Episode 13.
