Hey I just took apart my steering column and I have all the problems your listing, could not see the shaft with the torx screws just a shaft that covers where it should be but it doesn’t rotate

This sounds like it should be a recall. But because it's not a safety issue, it probably won't be recalled. Thanks again for posting! :)

corrosion X spray (red can) look it up. It's good stuff and I've even read articles of it, bringing electronics back to life. I spray all my automotive computers, fuse panels and electrical components with it.

These videos are really retarded 😂 It’s always the most obvious issue. Most of the time you can’t just look at the suspension component and tell right away that it’s bad. Even if the sway bar link is moving slightly it could make a noise and affect driving. Same thing with sway bar bushings, just don’t think just because they don’t look like this obvious shit that they are good to go.

Awesome video.. FYI if you are just doing the evaporator you can lay the dash over to the driver side and you do not have to unhook the harness under the carpet or take the steering column completely out. That way takes about 40 minutes with power tools to get to the hvac box 👊🏼

From what i understand, you can cut a square out without removing the entire dash and do a plastic patch with a plastic soldering gun.

You have to make sure you drive your di car one a 30 minute drive at least once a week. It really helps prevent this

Garbage cheap manifolds manufacturers gotta get their shit together with em. Bolts rust and they break the bolts are small too is main reason why they become brittle

All that mechanical parts and they still will manage to include a egr system even though it’s has variable timing with Variable valve duration. To expensive and bad quality. Not worth it.

Just bought a 2018 Lariat, and yes it had a broken sunroof too that the dealer didn't want to fix. I bought it anyway because I got it for a great price and I researched f150 sunroof problems and how to repair them. I fixed mine for about $25. Based on the history of these sunroofs I'm assuming it's something that I'll have to repair occasionally. Love the look of these sunroofs but I won't be opening or closing it that often. I probably wouldn't have bought it if I weren't mechanically inclined.

My 22 1500 sat for 2 months, went to turn it over yesterday - and immediately an identical tick was present. Only 22k on the engine. Unfortunately I have to drive it 155 miles to a location where I can inspect it - but I’m definitely doubt this first to make sure. Thank you!

If you have a tuner on the truck or a code reader you can reset the ecm/ clear codes and the truck will start

I have a 2019 ram 1500 big horn. Would make this sound. I took it to an exhaust repair shop, they called said its the upper end not the exhaust. Drove a block away to ram dealer tech said exhaust manifold for sure. I think monro wanted to rip me off or didnt want to do the job. Thurs the dealer will repair it and said be 700 to 1400 depend if both sides needs it.

What did you use to cut the bolts it’s in a very tight spot

Damn so is that all it could be? I thought it was the transmission going bad since the sound is similar to what was going on when I started my 2013 Sentra. The clicking also happens during acceleration even after the initial clicking has passed. How much would this repair run me at a shop?

does it make a clicking noise sometimes when those things go out? i thought i had some old fuses so i replaced the steering controls and horn fuses. i guess this is more than likely what the issue is but not 100% sure

I have a 2016 with 66,000 rt charger but it only ticks when I’m driving it if it’s parked or I stop it sound goes away but moving I hear it sometimes

So, my manifold looks like the rear half was completely rusted off. Is this a situation that would require an immediate repair, since its just the exhaust? Or would i be ok to drive this for a while? I made an appt with repair shop but they cannot fit me in for 2 weeks🫤
