Lynn Dickey Packers QB Highlights (1976-1979)
Переглядів 1,7 тис.3 роки тому
The Packers picked up Dickey from the Oilers in 1976, in hopes that he could become the next great Packer passer. He was ravaged by injuries in the 70’s, which limited his opportunities. He came back stronger however, changed his uniform number to 12, and made a decent surge into the NFL passing ranks in the early 80’s.

The Cure to Side-Armed Throwing | QB Mechanics
Переглядів 2 тис.3 роки тому
In this video, we will break down the underlying causes for a QB’s elbow to drop into a side armed position. Being able to use different arm angles is a solid skill to have, but often times, we are throwing that way because of bad habits. Let’s identify those and get better!
Vinny Testeverde 1996 Ravens Highlights
Переглядів 2,4 тис.4 роки тому
Vinny had his best season to date in 1996. Signed to be the first ever Ravens QB, he scored the teams first ever TD and lead them to their first ever win in week 1 vs. the Raiders. Testaverde threw a career high 33 TD passes and helped two different receivers eclipse 1,000 yards. All of the offensive production could’ve save the expansion Ravens from limping to a 4-12 record.
Scott Mitchell 1995 Lions Highlights
Переглядів 4,6 тис.4 роки тому
Mitchell had a breakout year for Detroit in 1995, throwing for 32 TD’s and leading the Lions to the playoffs. He had previously parlayed his play in Miami to a contract with Detroit. In 1995, he showed glimpses of his potential. Although, it wouldn’t last long.
Vinny Testeverde Buccaneers Highlights
Переглядів 1,6 тис.4 роки тому
Vinny was drafted #1 overall in 1987 after a successful college career at Miami. He was pegged as the savior of the franchise for Tampa Bay. He played for multiple coaches & never was able to put it all together. However, we can clearly see the strong arm & good mechanics that helped him finish his career top 10 passing yards & 275 TD’s. He played in the NFL for 21 years.

David had all the talent in the world. If he came out today with all the instructioneers, videos, Qb coaches... and especially sports psychologist. Theres no way David isnt a high first round player today. You have to remember back in 1980, there was none of this and David was drafted with the CB position in mind, because of his great feet, speed and athleticism. He was never fully turned into an NFL QB, coming from a school that still played power running with 2 big backs, a Hb and the qb optioning. How strong was hus arm??? I recall some assclown trying to get Jimmy Cefalo to name drop Dan Marino in the middle 80's. The question posed to cefalo was.... What QB that you've played with had the strongest arm. Without thought, he said David Woodley, then explained how he hated to warm David up before a game because, of how much it hurt catching his fastball. An Alpha introvert is not the best combo to have as no one seems to get you and you seem not to get them at times. Anyone seeing him in HS today would have had him at a pshycolgists office. LSU would have then had a sports pshc and there would not have been a 2 qb system in front of him in college. Anyone who saw the 79 tangerine bowl saw how good this kid, the kid could be and that the other qb, the home town boy that he shared time with bit ass. Intraverts value their alone time to recharge, btw. L They can be very forceful leaders, better team mates, and people with the right touch. Also Davids rookie year of 1980, he was on the all -rookie first team. Rest in peace David as you couldnt in mortal form, wherever your spirt may be

Loved watching Eric and Billy Sims back in the day. Both of them could put a hurting on any team in football. They nearly beat the Montana 49ers but for a missed field goal at the end of the game.

Never had the strongest arm(about average) but was a true gritty gunslinger who took chances down the field and made a lot of big plays out of broken plays

Woodley had the talent and very good mobility too...just too INT prone.

Ultra-talented, rocket arm, fluid, athletic, with a fast, smooth, and mechanically brilliant arm release of the football. Mel Kiper raves about him.

Those were the good old days to be sure. It was great watching Krieg hit Largent. Krieg was a good QB and we were lucky to have him. And to make the story really weird Krieg came for some "who the heck is that" college named Milton. I mean who is that place that you never heard of and then he is our QB and a damn good one at that.. Funny how that worked out..

@Otterom Ken o'brien had a very bad habit of holding on to the ball too long when his receivers were not open. That is the main reason why he took so many bad sacks. He never learned to just throw the ball away or to run with the ball if his receivers were not open.

Vinny Testaverde brought me here not the raven or any other team. He was one of the greats and when he was playing back up to Tom Brady he went into a game for two plays while they fixed Bradys chin strap. The first play Vinny was put on his ass the 2nd was a 60 yard TD PASS.
