Hitachi 225 cab view - Digging foundations
another video of me talking crap and digging
brief view of what I've been up to recently. digging foundations for this new build. mostly pad foundations with strip founds around the perimeter. using Topcon machine control as always. it really is a game changer in these types of jobs. I can be left alone to dig away.
again operation the Hitachi 225-6.

no music, no voice over. just the sweet sound of the 65!! spreading clay to make up ground levels for new build project. just so we are clear I am NOT a dozer op. I can do enough to get by. seat time is not easy to come by. so when I do get seat time I try and make the most of it. #construction #komatsu #dozer #level #clay #heavyequipment #gopro #civilengineering #operator #video
Digging out manhole box
Переглядів 42 тис.Рік тому
at this point the drainage line turns so we need to install a manhole or easy base which is what we mostly use now. these are pre fabricated manholes so no shutters or concrete needed. #topcon aiding me with my dig depth so cuts out men in trench to a minimum. machine - hitachi 225-6 topcon machine control #construction #excavator #hitachi #hitachiconstruction #drainage #digger #heavyequipment ...

Here's a short video of me forming a bund along a temporary access road for a new development. The main purpose of the bund is mainly to prevent people accessing the land in vehicles where there would be no fencing. #hitachi #civilengineering #construction #digger #excavator #grading #landscape #landscaping #cabview #irishdiggerman #heavyequipment #engineering #heavymachinery

Good work - however I didn’t like the guy between the pipe ends in the trench - would have liked to see him clean/prep the pipe with it on lifter but outside the trench !
Childhood dream job for me this, ended up working in IT but regardless this sings to me. So satisfying, no clue about the skill but you look like an expert!
I was the opposite. When I was growing up through school I wanted to work with computers 🤣 Funny how life works. Thanks for watching
Professional Bucket Banger
You sound like a Donegal man? Mighty digger work 👍
Limavady. Not a million miles away. Cheers 👍
The guy staring at his feet, standing on the pipe kicking loose gravel for no good reason all while in the immediate hazard zone of the arm and bucket is a huge safety hazard, liability and he’s causing the operator to focus more on him rather than his work. If he slipped and fell, and the operator wasn’t looking for a split second, that dude could’ve been killed easily.
I think you're being a tad over dramatic mate. I'm aware of where he is and where the end of the pipe is. If he slips and falls, he might hurt himself, yes, but I can assure you I would have seen it. Thanks for watching. 👍
@ That’s what everyone says until something happens.
excelente operador así es como se hace y buen video
Thank you 👍
It's great But is there any opportunity that I can join you and we work together
bang bang bang
House music at the best possible place to rock the drainage digging👏👏🧡👏
dont you level your excavator ?
It is level pal!! I wouldn't be digging otherwise.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
What device do you use to record videos?
Gopro hero 10
Your skills are awesome. You got my respect Sir.
Appreciate it pal.
Dude i so wish i could do this like you do. So impressive
Thanks mate 👍
Looks near Balmoral show grounds in Belfast
Got it in 1 mate 👍
Salam kenal dari operator indonesia pak
Very smooth and precise operator
Thank you
Fantastic job !! many thanks !
Thanks for watching
Wrong wrong wrong!!!, your suppose to like the other workers ride in the bucket.
Hi how’s a going I’m 18 currently a labour for block layers 😢😂 but I was wondering what’s the best way to get into a machine getting harder and harder these days
Your not wrong lad. It's certainly not as easy as when I started. So much health and safety these days it's hard to get the experience without paying out big money for your tickets 1st. There is big companies out there who run apprenticeship schemes for digger/dumper operators. Maybe worth a look?
Save the nice clean stone good man!
The stone in the middle is the excess stone from the piles. I did save what I could my digging bucket is wider than the piles so to dig the stone out I would have to either dig them out along with clay which is pointless or else change bucket and dig them out which slows me down and as I'm on price that's a no go. Stone is already classed as surplus, so any stone i do save is a bonus.
Tidy work, mate. Fair play to you.
Cheers pal 👍
4 engineers and a foreman standing right on top of the fucking work site, jerkoffs.
good job mate
Thanks 👍
What kind of camera are you using to record your videos?
I use a gopro hero 10 mate 👍
Top job your you've got alot of skills 👏 👌 👍 btw how did u become an excavator operator / digger man was it something you always wanted to do and in the blood orsethikg u just stumbled upon ?
Thanks mate. Driving machines was never the plan. But my uncle had a construction firm and my dad worked there. When I was at school went with my dad every sat and worked as a young labourer helping out where I could. Earned some pocket money. 1 day I was on site and the guy meant to drive the mini digger didn't show and I was the only person there so I jumped in and stockpiled some topsoil that was being delivered to site in trucks. The next week I was offered a job to train on a little 7.5 T hitachi knuckle boom and I accepted. I had a job lined up in a factory working shifts but went with my uncle instead. That was 20 years ago now. 🤷♂️🤣
@@irishdiggerman5691 AND THE DIGGERMAN WAS BORN LOL
Good work but painfully slow
If you say so buddy 👍
Bitchen work David ,but leave a little work for us labores!Great trenching
Haha cheers pal
A slow, deliberate operator. That’s what you want and need when doing underground. Good trench discipline, a well run operation and a good video too! Nicely done sir. 🇺🇸💪👍
Thank you pal. Appreciate the comment. Glad you enjoyed my video 👍👍
Hell yeah I won’t touch those things if it’s utility work or if I got guys below me. I am DOGS SHIT. Dug a pond once turned out pretty good but I’m not smooth like this. lol. Good shit best I’ve seen.
Класс, красавчик👍
Nice work irish.x
Nice one 👍
Love the cat controls 😊
Cat controls? I don't follow! Is this not the controls for all makes?
@irishdiggerman5691 cat controls and backhoe controls (iso v sae) cat controls have swing and stick/dipper on left stick, boom and bucket on right stick, sae or backhoe/John Deere pattern have swing and boom on left stick, stick/dipper and bucket on right stick.
Ah yes I get you now. Yeah don't think I'd ever be able to get used to sea controls. Heads hurting just thinking about it 🤣
@irishdiggerman5691 same haha 😄
Unreal. I'm just learning and it's amazing how smooth and efficient everything you do is. How long have you been driving for and what does that topcon device do?
Thanks mate. I've been operating now for just short of 20 years. So plenty of practice. I wasn't always as smooth as that 🤣 topcon is what's commonly known as a gps system. So on that screen I will have a drawing and that allows me to see where I am on the site. I can see the outlines of buildings, kerbs anything really that I need to know and also gives me heights. So no need to wait on engineers setting up lines etc. I just turn that on and dig like f**k as they say 🤙🤣
I don't know anything about this line of work but it was satisfying to watch, good job.
Thanks for watching 👍
like a damn surgeon with this machine!
Haha cheers mate.
what is this beeping for? that he reached the lower level?
Yes it beeps when you get within 50mm above or below set grade.
Why are yoi spreading mud? Lol
To build up ground levels pal so it can be topsoiled. Dried out pretty quick tbh
Last time Sir am I right in thinking it's £150 to do GPS course coz fukkin Lifting Op's yesterday cost £250 🥃200 yr old Malt is that
I've no idea pal. I never did any course for gps. I got In the cab and taught myself as I went.
Nice 1 for replying AGAIN that was actually helpful 🥃 Thing is mi job fin last wk,is it easy to 4get if ya outta work 4 a while Catch 22 🥃🥃 Fuck it get pissed Proppa chilled ya look
🤣🤣 no worries mate. Tbh I look forward to getting a spell on machine without gps these days. It's so more relaxed. No pressure to push and dig on like fuck. But honestly no need to stress mate. It's just the same as some1 spraying a line on the ground for you to dig 2 and having some1 beside you with a spinning laser but instead of the line being on the ground it's on a screen in front of your face and instead of a man pointing at you to go up or down the screen flashes and tells you direct. No middle man. 👍👍
0:07 first course is the dirt 4:42 next is the gravel course
Thanks for replying Chap I've been a 360 op 25+yrs and thinkin ov doin GPS course but wanna know how easy/hard it is to learn coz I'm not to clued up with that sort of stuff,ps ya make it look so fukkin easy
You'll be fine, mate. It Really is a piece of cake once you get your head around the basics of using the screen in the cab. It's simply like having a drawing inside the cab that tells you how deep to dig or how much to fill. Don't be stressing, pal. After a couple of days, you'll wonder how we ever managed without it. You become so much more efficient, and eventually, the only person you will need is an operator for the dumper/roller and maybe 1 groundworker, depending on the job you're doing. Most of the time, I'm left alone. No one bothers me. If I need something, I ask. Otherwise, you are able to just dig like fuck 🤣🤣 gps won't make a bad operator good. But it will make a good operator better 👌👌
Wow man you kick ass, good footwork, and you don’t loose any movements, awesome operating skills
Thanks man. 👌
Beautiful work
Thanks mate 👍
When you get time Bro I'd love 2 pick ya brain, I'm 25yr exp n still don't know it all
Will we ever know it all pal? Still learning everyday!! How can I help? Pick away 😉
Nice and steady it looks so fukkin easy but I promise ya it's not,if you can get the work ya man's doin neva let it go, Great work Chap 🥃
Cheers pal. Appreciate the comment. Thanks for watching 👍
Typical PADDY rough as F**K
Very impressive and interesting to watch how it’s done ! You are handy on the levers
Appreciate it pal. Thanks for watching 👍
