This channel is dedicated to WW1 and 2 German Militaria and re-enacting. I do reviews on the equipment, uniforms, weapons, etc. that Soldiers in the German army would have carried in both the world wars.

im Gedenken an Günther Tlotzek (1923-2023)

im Gedenken an Günther Tlotzek. I made this short video in memory of one of my best friends Günther Tlotzek. He passed away early in December at the age of 100, just shy of turning 101 this February. He lived such an eventful life that there aren’t enough photos to cover it all. The song playing is „Wildgänse rauschen durch die Nacht“ (wild geese rushing through the night). One day during the w...

Small piece of footage of me shooting blanks out of a karabiner 98 kurz at my first and most recent reenactment
very cool. I would like to mention: for the smaller great war community, if you're looking for y-straps for ww1, sorry. They don't exist. However it was common to use a breadbag strap around the neck, mounting on the d-rings on the ammo pouches.
Hi, are there specific models for each herlmet or not ?
interested about this. what happened in the rain and such? the blanket being on top and not protected the guy would freeze to death afterwards.
Thanks this will help he better to understand how to draw german soldiers wereing a zeltbahn
Nice collection man!
Love the impression bro. I've been watching you for forever now. We missed you and are glad to have you back!
The broken badge indicates that the person who wore it fought only for his comrades, and not the reich's motives. I love the addition of it to an impression.
Something like that, there’s multiple theories. Maybe it was just a subjective choice?
@@prussianproductions9958 Nonetheless, it did have a reason. If not to deface a German badge, then I'm not sure. Watch: "Common Combat Awards of the German Army 1939-1945." It has information about it in there
Good to see you back man! You were honestly one of the people that made me start my channel now I am at almost 100 subs! Thank you for everything!
That’s good to hear, I congratulate your success on 100 subs. I hope to continue while I can. -Prussian Productions
good to have you back man. Hope to see you out there again soon.
That's a nice loadout my man.
Excellent set of uniform and equipment. I am also reenactor, and your set is very good.
привет, я ценю ваш комментарий. Ваш канал полон интересных впечатлений и информации. с наилучшими пожеланиями, -Prussian Productions
Your Impression looks amazing and inspiring! I love watching impression videos because I always wonder what other reenactors think and use. And with that so I can upgrade mine to look stunning aswell! Thanks for the video and keep up the good work!
You also based in Buffalo NY, I do a ww2 Bulgarian impression if you wanna take photos together lol
@@DDR-Soldaten I'm afraid I do not live in America😔
Thank you for your comment
long time no see dude. 🇺🇸
welcome back bro
hey man glad to have you back
Glad to be back
He's back!
Hey man, good to have you back! And regardless, keep focusing on what’s important to you! Beside that, the impression is generic yet fleshed out, great work!
Much appreciated my friend. I apologize for keeping you guys waiting none the less. -Prussian Production
Is that an original shell? Looks really good.
yes
Can it be any strap or?
Hey is there any good y straps/ammo pouches on Amazon I can really only buy on there and found a full uniform boots and helmet but the ammo pouches and y straps are there but idk which is good can someone help?
What are the original material?
The equipment items that I am wearing in the video include an original m38 folding shovel, original m40 stahlhelm (shell), original gas cape bag, an original canteen and mess kit, and an original bayonet and sheath.
There is a certain type of german Y suspenders made out of a blue fabric, not leather that I think are called THW suspenders. But the thing is, the back vertical strap is very short making it placed way above the waist, literally on the back! How did german infantry men actually wore those series straps? Were they allot shorter people then?
Good stuff
pdf doesnt work
I do have to give the Germans credit for coming up with such a nice rig, especially when you realize that they adopted it since WW1. It’s very sturdy, it goes well with the human posture and it just looks fantastic. Too bad they don’t make normal suspenders with a steel ring on the back like that.
What are the two loose straps in the front for?
very good and excel explanation
thank you, the east german y straps are relatively the same so this really helps lol
nice video!
Good job and nice video👍
The equipment belt normally hooks into the hooks that are sewn into the blouse. When wearing the Zelt is the belt still able to ride in those hooks? Or does the zelt fabric prevent their use? I wonder if the Germans would cut slits into the zelt fabric so their belts could again “hook” as it would if the rain cape was not worn and would be more secured. I suppose this would be less than ideal if you needed to turn the rain cape into a shelter in the rain because there would be more openings for water to get in. Thanks for the video.
LOVE THE HISTORY. THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO.
Hello Comrade, nice video as always! I want to ask you: can you make a full impression video for Wehrmacht soldier? Im collecting my kit for reenactment, so it will be really helpful for me and another guys like me. Thank you!
Thank you this video helped assemble my gear
where did the belt tailoring video go?
I don't have anmo pouches 💀💀💀💀
Can you mod Y straps to fit modern war belts?
Really useful help thx 👍
I don’t really get this video. There’s pictures and video of y straps in all sorts of positions. It just depends on the individual if it’s comfortable or not. God forbid you look at Vietnam war GIs. They have their suspenders and belts adjusted in all sorts of bizarre ways. People in real life aren’t hyper fixated on the exact placement of them
@Prussian productions, what happened to the folding a zeltbahn video?
Excellent video with a lot of useful information so thanks much for sharing it with us. At about the 6:12 mark in your video you show a printed page for the tarnnetz (possibly originally from some German manual). Can you tell me where that page is reproduced as I'd like to refer to it when making a tarnnetz for my 1:6 scale German WW2 figure collection. Thanks again and well done.
wow
It feels good to see a repro item i've made being used by other reanactors! Sharing still is one of the best things about this hobby!
Hey were you with Ost 439 at D-Day Ohio 2023? I thought I talked to you since it looked and sounded vaguely like you but I’m not sure. I was in an SS Kit and looked younger.

@@prussianproductions9958 ok. For more context I was asking for David M. (Not saying the full last name Ehre on purpose)
