Ultimate Sequoia Hike. Moose and Pear Lake Loop
Sequoia National Park has many highlights like Pear Lake, Moose Lake, and the High Sierra Trail. This fall Luke and I combined many of the best parts of the western side of Sequoia National Park with this fantastic 28 mile loop that took us by giant sequoias, on the rugged High Sierra Trail and past remote lakes. Highly recommended if you are ok with some off trail travel!

Lots of comments about other peaks being more technically difficult. The point here is the effort to get there on a 25-mile hike and then summit day was 14 hours for me. Getting up on the saddle from camp and then having to lose a couple thousand feet before you can go back up again is challenging in terms of effort. I've done a few mountains and Gannett was definitely the most physically taxing of all. Plus, the year I did it the mountain was totally covered in snow.
