zero faith in shane. I he a leader, is he even a real HC? has shown time and time again, he can't feel the game nor make winning decisions. in-game decisions are awfull. he is a glorified OC who needs a HC for a DC because shane dosnt know football. just Offense. that's not a HC.

Sounds like you are new to Indy or way too young. Jim Irsay is the ONLY reason that a small market like Indy has an NFL team. So you want to spit in his face. Shame on you. Soon as St. Louis Rams took advice like yours the team fled to LA. Maybe you want to revise your thinking. Here is the facts, this team would not be and won't be in Indy without Irsay ownership. You are way off track. It is hard to win in the NFL. The problems with the Colts has little to do with ownership but rather the onslaught of soft culture that is permeating pro sports. The entitled players will not longer accept hard discipline from organizations and teams are complying with the players much like the NBA. Richardson tapping out of a game should have been dealt with harshly like leadership from veteran players and coaches tearing him a new one. Johnathan Taylor's intentional swag drop of the ball should have been dealt with harshly with a benching instead players and coaches comforted him on the sidelines instead of ripping him a new one. Translation, they just do not care enough. You can see the results by Richardson running out of bounds a yard short of the first down marker on an important play when he should have fought for that yard. Or when Johnathan Taylor runs a passing route and does not turn around and let's the perfect pass hit him on the back of the shoulder on another important down. They learned nothing because there is no accountability for the mistakes so they keep making them. That is on the coaching staff being afraid of the players. When you put the inmates in charge you should expect chaos. Irsay is the kind of owner that you want. He let's those he hired to do their job with little interference unlike the Dallas and Cleveland owners who constantly interfere and micro manage their hires. The problems go beyond ownership and it is rather an NFL culture issue that is destroying most pro leagues. The NBA has been ruined by impowering the players which has ruined their sport. Players want to build a personnel brand rather than be a teammate. Taylor was trying to pad stats rather than be aware of game situations. This lack of attention to detail and tolerance of mistakes sunk this team not ownership.

Irsay needs to admit that he needs to spend money as an owner of a professional sports league. That's what led to the Ballard hire. He needs to get a GM who understands how to make moves regarding the draft AND FA AND coaching. Even the coaching hires are very obviously cheap. Since Dungy, we've hired ZERO head coaches with prior HC experience in the NFL, when our HC position had opened, ZERO! Pete Caroll is available, that's a dude I would want down on the sideline. He's won a SB and has been very successful. Mike Vrabel, Jim Caldwell, Lovie Smith, Brian Flores, Kliff Kingsbury, Mike McCarthy. Someone with prior HC experience.

I was stubbornly supportive of Chis Ballard for the first 5 or 6 years of his management, but he needs to clean out his desk on Monday. Every team in our division has won multiple division titles during Ballard's tenure, while we have won zero. The best player he has ever drafted is a guard. Not to belittle the importance of that position, but the best team's best players are quarterback, wide receiver, cornerback or edge rusher. Ballard has been below average at filling all 4 of those spots. His biggest splash moves in free agency have been to re-sign the same players who couldn't get us into the playoffs before. Unfortunately our owner is asleep at the wheel, and I don't trust him to make the right choices going forward. 🤦

I watched a lot of bad Indianapolis Colts football from 1984 until 1995 when Harbaugh and the Cokts decense put the Colts on the radar and made Colts football exciting. Its not so exciting anymore. Remember 2022 when Matt Ryan showed fans and the league that he was washed up and Baker Mayfield was a free agent publicly talking about how much he wanted to come and play for the Colts? Then instead of taking a chance on a low risk high reward young qb that wouldn't cost us any draft capital the Colts (Ballard) said no thank you then drafted a developmental qb and rushed him onto the field while Baker has gone on to have success with the Bucs averaging over 2 td's per game in his time there. I will continue to say this until a change finally happens but Ballard HAS and WILL continue to hold this team back with bad decisions.

My biggest concern when we drafted AR was that we took a project qb with tons of potential and upside but then would ruin him by not properly developing him and instead rush him into starting because he was high draft pick and this appears to be exactly what we did. He is a heck of an athlete and that does show up on film at times but we are lying to ourselves if we think that he just needs game reps. The game reps that he needed were in college where his athleticism could mask his other issues while he develops but that isn't going to work in the NFL. The coaching staff started the clock on him when they said all he needs to develop are game reps and named him the starter. Great kid and I hope he puts it together to be the guy for us for a long time but I am not confident that this coaching staff can develop him as a passer based on how they have handled it so far.

I’m totally fine with Chris Ballard. It’s Gus Bradley that needs to be replaced.
