They are plasmacytes, wargear tokens, once per game you can use 1 and give the unit devastating wounds. Skorpehks also always re-roll hits on the charge.

They can, yes. Outriders are quite interesting now... The only issue is them driving around terrain...

It's one of his Primarch abilities, all astartes within 6" get a FNP against Mortal wounds, he is within 6" of himself.

@ thanks, I’ve been misinterpreting the rule, I thought he just buffed the unit within 6”

Hey thanks for the comment, someone's already mentioned that, it's in the small print for the detachment. Even though the wording is the same as the old index... the datasheets now actually have the ability listed. Good old GW and their rules writing

They do. "All Adeptus Astartes..."

@@javanrhodes5951 that's not what it says. "Until the start of your next Command phase, that Mission Tactic is active and its effects apply to all units from your army with this ability" Mission tactics is listed as an ability now.

Yea, they're an interesting option now. Easy to screen them out though. And I know they have ap now, but still not deadly.

yea, it's an interesting unit for sure, I haven't got any nerf gun marines, so for me it would be 6 bolters and 4 plasma... but for the extra 30 points I'd rather have 6 extra plasma and shoot on death all day long to be honest... even without mission tactics, put a Lt with them for Lethal hits and they're still very good, and can still teleport or give them a beacon for deepstrike... the problem with the Fortis kill team is for 200 points they have no durability, and with only 4 plasma and 2 nerf gun marines it's not a massive amount of damage output... the bolt rifles are ok, but not great... whereas for a little more you can get 10 plasma that can do a lot of damage, and even when die, do more damage... that's my opinion anyways. I'll try them out at some point though to see how they do.

Yea, I think for Berzerkers nothing changed though, on their datasheet it always said once per phase, and it says they can surge into combat...

@ oh my mistake, they cannot surge WHILE in combat… i misread the rules… im gonna play berzerkers again HAHA

Picking up a character that would fight first is not a clever move ,you charge him right so he was a defender and was first to fight.

Correct, didn't even use the special ammo strats, just core book, armour of Contempt, teleport and Adaptive tactics... Special ammo strats are good, but it's only on bolters. Better things to spend the cp on... Mission tactics affect all astartes units.

@HereticDave40k Misson tactics does not go on all units anymore, it's only those with mission tactics keyword/ability which is just the Deathwatch units. It's part of the new index. Have a closer look and you'll see... Did we accidentally cheat in the tournament?

@@HereticDave40k Unfortunately it now says all your army now with this 'ability', and in the faction section it says Adeptus Astartes but also says Mission Tactics, so it's only those units that get to use it. We've been buffed and nerfed at the same time, except it is making people use actual kill teams which makes sense. It's written at the bit where is says at the command phase, so it's supersedes the Adeptus Astartes. It is easily missed.

@@HereticDave40k That's awesome! But there is no way they are going to let those point cost stand, they will go up in the next Field Manual. Spectrus Kill Team costs the same as an infiltrator squad, but is 100x better, better guns, better unit rules. No way that stays the same.

Or we can have a 6 foot by 18 foot table the long side deployment is rigged for assault armies 3 turns of shooting before they are in charge range would make this a very different game.

@alanrickett2537 aren't most deployments the same distance apart these days..? An apocalypse size board would have helped though yes. Haha

Yeah Gaunts and rattlings are next on my list. I've got two Basilisk but left them at home for this game. Only started playing guard this year so lots to learn. Slowing down the zerkers would have helped lots.

The intended pose has him raising the shotgun upside down over his head, arcing his bionic arm, while your version is the same mini, but with his arm bent to hold the gun to his chest instead. Can’t have been easy converting thar
