So, the FAQ is related to things that can hurt them but aren't attacks, such as Grenades, Tank shock, Plasmancer throwing out mortal wounds and so on, ways the enemy can hurt them, which aren't part of an attack... Their own datasheet ability overrides this, so they can from hazardous tests.
Incorrect, you need to apply the rules in order of increasing specificity. For example, units cannot shoot after they advance. However, if they have a weapon with the assault rule, this is overwritten.
