My only observation is I’d cut standing on the side I’m removing the slab (if that makes sense), it’s just that by leaning over the log (the way they show), your centre of gravity is leaning to the other side, reaching away from you.. Much harder on your back. Your final comment on making your last cut is valid, I’d utilise that idea to make your initial score when starting, then cut being on the slab side first. Avoiding leaning over the log is going to improve balance and centre of gravity, I think that’s why your student ended up hunched over as he was tiring.. Thanks though, I’ll definitely give it a crack myself.. Cheer’s

I know you were really upset about the beams fie your outdoor kitchen. Well I thought of an idea what if you use rocks and small boulders in a wire cage? Like Cindy Vine is doing for her gate. You have an abundance of rocks. You could stack up a bunch then put the cage around it. Use something to reinforce like rebar, cement almost like a corner wall or a door frame. Sorry I think outside the box. Have a wonderful week.

Nice system. I only would take a T- pipe as an out-pipe so you avoid getting a siphon-effect and air can pass through the pipe downwards to your green zone. such a long pipe towards your garden creates a powerfull suction effect and might suck out your container.
