X3 Inferno Heater Install 4K
Переглядів 9 тис.Рік тому
Installed Inferno in dash heater into my new 2023 Can Am Maverick X3 DS Turbo base model. Had to change where I spliced into the coolant hoses from the instructions due to having the windshield washer bottle in the way. All in all it makes good heat and the end product looks nice I think. Wife should be happy with the heat once we get lower and upper doors installed.

DIY install with minor issues. Thought chain was wrong length and removed a link only to figure it out after. New chain on order but rest went well enough, enjoy!

Hello, Are you interested in testing our products? We would like to invite you to test the Waterproof Seat Covers for your 2015 Mule Pro Fxt 4
running the coolant line the way you did would you still need to remove the shock?
Nope, I did not have to do anything with shocks since all the cutting and such was under the dash area
Thanks for creating this great video! We shared a link to it on the Inferno Cab Heaters Facebook page.
hey man.. your windshield.. it came with two clamps to hold the sides.. howd you installed those. i cant manage to do it. and its kickin my butt.
It’s not easy as clamps are aluminum and I used a pinch and a hammer to slowly knock it out of its clips. It will mark up the clamps unfortunately. Any dirt that got between the clamps from riding make more friction. When I replaced the window I made sure it was all cleaned off, but still needed the pinch and hammer to tap it back in place. It only needs to move about 1 inch I believe to release
@@Bullyveldt its a pain.. mine they appear they both right side.. they are identicall
Got one, colors looks great But disappointed to see that to do an oil change the crash guards have to be removed also! 😢 double the work now!!! 😖
Yeah, you are correct, it does add work to the oil changes. Luckily the 690 doesn’t need oil changes as often as dedicated dirt bikes like my kx450.
Any update on the way you tan the coolant lines? Leaks does it work as good?
Haven’t had an issue with coolant lines, works well
@@Bullyveldthey what size was the coolant line and what size is the line that comes off the T to heater?
Nice installation! Which windshield do you have?
in this video it is the can am glass windshield with wiper. I have since broken it in a rollover. It has been replaced with Super ATV coated poly windshield which works with the can am wiper system.
Great video. I'm getting the Maverick XMR. I've got the heater, W/S,top and doors on order.
Nice! What’s your plan for rear window? The can am sight shows the rear window doesn’t work with XMR, but I think from looking at the install instructions on their website that it should work. Or was there another rear window you were going use?
Can I get a copy of your instructions Mine didn’t come with any
What size Jam nut did u use for the accessory terminals ?
I’m not sure the size, but there is a nut already on the terminals, so I reused it. Just the one nut without a second jam nut. It has held for last 1000 miles no issues
How long did the entire install take?
Did it all in one full day. So maybe 8hours alone?
Just want to let you know, that’s how most ball valves are, if it’s straight in line with the flow, means it’s open, thanks for the video
Just bought one, it’s being shipped. Really appreciate the video. Good job lining out the steps and sht needing to be removed and how to remove them. I’m notorious for snapping the hidden brackets! One small critique… go easier on whipping the camera from the subject item back to your face to talk. It’s hard on the eyes…not your face😂 …the actual blur and movement of the video 😵💫
Sorry about camera…was trying to be quick so folks didn’t lose attention. I realized while editing the effect. I’ll keep that in mind in future! Good luck with the install!

pulling the subframe off wouldve been a hell of a lot easier....
You are 100% correct. When I removed the kit last spring, I did exactly that. The removed subframe made getting the kit off super easy.
The choice between the Outback motortek and this one is hard to do. Both are well made
Good review 👍👍👍👍
So you never got around to finishing?
When I was looking around for crash protection I seen these but wondered if they would protect the radiator at all since they are lower than the radiator honestly. When you laid the bike on its side and showed that it would that was the selling point for me. I ordered a set right after watching the video and they should be here Wednesday. A product that you hope you never need but you’ll be glad that you have if you do 😆 Very informative video sir 👍 Thanks for putting it out there
Glad you liked the video. Had the bars on since and they have been used lots as I took the bike for a summer through single track with my buddies on dedicated dirt bikes. I’m still very happy with them!
@@Bullyveldt I’ve installed the bars since I made my comment. Very impressed with how easily they went on. Everything lined up perfectly without any tweaking or forcing needed. Color matches great. Shipping was very quick too. Couldn’t be happier with the purchase
What brand of thermostat did you get for your kx? The timbersled one says it's not compatible with my 2019 kx
I got one included with my C3 thermostat I ordered. There was a port on the thermostat housing which provides the engine temp for the readout.
I’m thinking of buying a used mountain horse is there anything I should be aware of I have the same 2019 kx450
It’s a 2015 timbersled kit
Nice ride Billy. Great video.
Need some third person views. If you have android try Kinemaster for editing. Much more subtle watermark.
I usually use my Mac for editing, but was at camp with my PC and didn’t realize I until video was edited there would be the water mark. After a full day riding and then an hour editing, chaud this one up to an “oh well, it is what it is” haha
Thank you! Worked perfectly and saved us a trip to the dealer!!
well-thought-out video. thanks, bro
Thank you. Mine are on the way!
Awwwww I love lulu
I just finished installing the sameT Rex crash bars on my 2019 KTM 690 Enduro r, and just wanted to put it out there that if you have the stock skid plate like I do then the bars won't interfere with your skid plate, the skid plate is attached on separate bolts below the bars Cheers 🏍️
Thanks for taking the time to share this bud! Happy Muling lol
Thanks for making the video, I just got mine for my 690, I called t Rex before ordering, they told me that they don't interfere with the OEM skid plate, but they didn't mention that you have to remove the bars before removing the skid plate, oh well it's no big deal, your video helps a lot Cheers 🏍️
I was watching the video as I need to do this on my bike...(not the same bike). I don't have torqueing tools. I see you mention the torque that the bolts should be tightened to but you did tighten with just a ratchet...so is it necessary to use proper torque wrench...Is that what you used? I am just asking as I don't want to pay someone $100+ just to do this...I am capable but don't have a torque wrench.
You can tighten them tight, bolts are quite strong. They do hold the engine to the body so are important. I don’t always torque them but sometimes do as I have to remove the bars when doing oil changes. Tighten them tight and you should be good to go!
@@Bullyveldt Appreciate your reply back. Cheers!!
Is that lulu and red!
It is :)
Yeah!!!!!!
Great vidio I am Emma and missy is my mom and I think this is bill talking I am not sure but Hayden lives across the st from me! My dad is Dustin too
Tell your mom and dad you need a dirt bike - Bill
Haha ok
Very good video, thank you. Do the mini sliders do the job , on the crash bars ? or they just for nice view ?
I'm debating now if I should buy it or not cause I ride tight trails and it seems like this would help a lot when I drop it.
I use these in tight single track where I go with my buddies on their 250's. It has saved my bike many times when my skill level combined with the size of the bike and "tighness" of the trail beat me.
@@Bullyveldt Awesome! That is exactly what I am looking for because I can only have one bike right now so the 690 is it and I ride where smaller bikes go also so it sounds like these bars would be a good purchase for me.
Thanks for the video. I pick up my 690 in a couple days. Would appreciate a video on the Tusk frame for bags as well. Interested to see how they’ve done for you.
I don't have a video on the tusk frame mounts but they have really assisted with protecting the bike and sides along with my crash bars from many a dump. Also they give you something to grab onto the bike when you inevitably need to wrestle it around on a trail or out of sand and mud.
@@Bullyveldt -perfect, thank you, I’ve been impressed with the 690 so far. I took it through more than I thought it was up for over the weekend. Would be great to have some more protection
Sweet & thanks for the video. I hope this is a close/similar application for my 2010 Kawasaki Teryx.
Thx for the video, looks like a good grab handel to
Good video , from Spain
Your welcome from Canada haha! I hope this helps you find the right crash bars for your bike. 😉🥃🍸
Yup don't be like me fellas got these for my baby and apparently they don't work with KTM's oem aftermarket metal skid plate. Smdh
Yeah, it is a pain that the skid plate must be modified, however for me, the protection is worth it. The bars have saved my bike many times. Like the one time I took it off the rear wheel stand and forgot to put the kickstand down. Bike fell onto the pavement and Just got scratches on the these bars and my bark busters.
@@Bullyveldt perfect love to hear something we buy for protection actually doing its job lol, im in the process now of modifying the plate
Wow. Within a week for shipping directly from TREX? I'm out in Ontario and have a similar story to you. Dropped my 690 within a month or so of picking it up. Very light drop but I scratched the clutch cover and swing arm a bit as well as the upper right fairing. I figure these bars would have have at least saved my clutch cover and fairing a bit... maybe not the swing arm. Your video helped me make my decision to purchase them, thank you !
Update, these bars are garbage. Uninstalled them after a year because they kept falling apart and never aligned correctly.
Thank you for making this video. It is very helpful. I have been looking for some solid crash bars for my KTM 690 Enduro and you helped me make my decision. Wonderful attention to detail with your verbal explanations and camera work. You've done an outstanding job of showing people what they need to know.
You’re more than welcome, I was looking for something for my 690, and when I found these I figured I’d do what I could to make sure others didn’t have to figure it all out on their own. I hope you enjoy your bars!
have you crashed it with these yet?
supermotokev Yes, quite a few times. Saved my radiator from a stump once. They work awesome!
@@Bullyveldt Thinking about buying them cause I run the stock brake pedal and I want to protect it as well as the other parts it protects. Now that you have had it a while would you recommend it?
@@bf9396 I replaced my stock brake pedal after bending it over the footpeg within the first 2 days owning the bike. Way before the crash bars. Unsure if that would have helped or my current scorpion skid plate would have done that.
@@Bullyveldt Based on your video it should protect the brake pedal I'm assuming. I'm planning to skip out on the aftermarket pedal for now and just get the bars so I hope I'm right.
Thank you for the video😀
Thanks dude, was getting tired of chasing it
How do you find this as a trail rig my friend ?
MBM460 Ns It’s great. Just have to keep in mind it’s width but it’s gone through stuff I never would have thought it would have made it through. Climbs steep hills as well. Not the fastest but it can tow a hell of a lot and there is nothing more fun then taking 6 people for a tour in it. Super soft suspension as well, like a Cadillac!!
Thanks for your reply! I’ve been looking for a family machine I can go on trail rides and take hunting.
MBM460 Ns for families you won’t beat the Mule!!!
@@mbm460ns9 agreed got one to fit my whole family the large bed is great for hunting when there not with me and I was really happy how easy it takes the extremely steep terrain I have. do wish it had just a little more top end but it was a trade off I was willing to take.
Electriccompany thanks !
If your son weighs 135 lbs. he probably ought to be riding his own e-bike. There you go, a great reason for another build. Yeah Dad, that is a great reason says the large boy in a small trailer.
Need more videos of this car
Lol thank you and yours is loose like mine because my brother pulls it way too hard as well.
Very nice video just bought one I love it
Hey! im located in Calgary. How much did u pay for shipping? also did you get taxes with duties?
The cost was $80 shipping so with the bars it was $250 USD. I got tagged with $39 CAD at the post office when I picked them up for duties/taxes.
thanks for the fast reply! I have been debating on getting these or not... I need a bash plate as well. Not much selection for canada dealers. You think the crash bars are worth it? @@Bullyveldt
I think so. I found them by searching on google and seeing them through google images. I really liked the orange colour which matches the frame. They will keep the radiator safe and also will keep the bike mostly off the ground. I crashed my bike in the dirt first week and messed the rear brake pedal. This bar may have protected it. The rad shroud dragged through the turf. The bar would have stopped that as well. I’m hoping to never find out if they are really needed haha. Ordered a bash plate from KTM twins and waiting for it to arrive.
