@jasonschade2050 I've personally never used anything other than eBay. I like all the protection they offer and I just feel comfortable with them so I personally haven't explored anything else myself. I know if you use goods and services on FB to pay for things it protects you as well, but it just seems like I see a lot of people getting ripped off in FB groups.

@georgekolar3131 thanks dude! Now the Super7 line is super easy to get into since you can get so many of the figures for way under retail and it's not nearly as expansive NECA. The NECA Toon line has become much easier to get as well but you definitely only need to go as deep as you want since there is sooooo many figures for that line.

@iamawesome4026 nice! Pretty sure that has the Raphael #1 which is the first appearance of Casey Jones which is one of my favorite comics ever.

@gilmo5994 Thanks dude! I'm honestly glad I got the 4-pack. While is does have a few less accessories it was still cheaper in the end and if I didn't have the bros for this line by now, I probably would have bailed on it.

@patrickmcgavin2245 I get where the number 84 came from, just seemed like an unnecessary change to make for no reason. After a quick google search, it does seem like he has some sort for trademark on the number 23 when it comes to certain types of merchandise. Definitely seems wild to have a number trademarked.

@DavidMoore-eu3jv for real it's like once there was blood in the water every company came out of the woodwork to go after 80's and 90's kid's nostalgia. It's funny you mention that about the OG Star Wars and Super Powers because I'm really thinking my focus is going to shift back to OG Playmates after this year. It's why I got into all of this in the first place and I feel like I'm finally satisfied with where I am with my modern TMNT stuff.

@midrifter8008 thanks dude! Things have changed a lot since this video. Debt is going down, money is being saved, and I honestly feel a lot better collecting when I don't have the stress of feeling like I need everything.

@stevenbetge6538 it's funny you say that because if I started over from the beginning I would go with white shelves haha. I feel like figures pop in them a bit more. Black is just generally more aesthetically pleasing to me when it comes to shelves which was why I went that route.

@sparkplug2356 yeah they forced my hand and made me pull out of every line other than Marvel Legends and even with that I only collect X-Men and Spider-Man characters pre 2000's so it's barely anything anymore at this point. I couldn't even imagine if I still tried to collect Classified that line has pumped out an insane amount of figures since I made this video.

@angrygeek2499 I definitely don't have as much fun as I did when I first started out, but I do still have a lot of fun collecting. Dropping out of so many lines and just focusing on what I really, really want helped with that a lot. It's crazy how far I've come since I posted this video.

@brendansrambles9496 thanks dude! The only wave 10 fig I got was Leo which should be showing up any day as I just shipped my pile of loot from BBTS. I'm only getting Mikey and Rat King from wave 11 and 3 figs from wave 7 (if they ever come out) so this might be the end of S7 for me if they're going the 2K3 route.

@@noyougrowup69 I honestly really don't know what they are planning after the 2K3 wave. Rat King did kind of seem like a final hurrah for the Playmates inspired designs. I'm mostly looking forward to waves 7 and 9, with one or two from 10 and 11. I'm still holding out hope that wave 13 will be a return to form with all bangers, but I know that is extremely unlikely at this point. Ah well. Collecting them was getting too expensive anyway.

@toweltoy while I do agree that figure is a big upgrade in the sculpt department, I'm passing on that fig. I'm out of shelf space and the OG Armored Ronin is all I have room for.

@miguelrico4995 yeah if it wasn't clear last year it definitely is this year. Almost nothing new for the OG Toon line and it seems like they've gotten almost everything they've shown off onto the shelf at this point so I'm very curious to see what else even comes out going forward. I feel like they are going to move 90% of the focus to 2012.

@jacobniehaus I feel like I'm so far behind on SDCC at this point but I do want to talk about all the companies and their current state which I will definitely include what they showed off at SDCC because it has a lot do do with it. I have a lot of thoughts on NECA and S7 right now and where they're going with their lines.

@joshmv still stoked on those guys. I have a hard time believing anything comes out that will top them. The Casey is definitely my favorite version of him now as well.

@@noyougrowup69 Same. I think they will be my all time favorite. I missed out on Casey but maybe I'll be able to get him one day or maybe they do a new color swap/alternate design that's not exclusive and I'll get it.

@KootenaiKing at best I am at least "a man" haha. Seriously thought I always appreciate the kind words. That's a bummer I have had insanely good luck with my ronin figs. Splinter was kind of hard to get in the sweet spot at first but he's been standing with no issues for a couple months now. It's almost annoying how good the naked ronin figure looks because it's literally the ronin version I'm least interested in but it is objectively a step up in the sculpt department from the firs two ronins. I still haven't gotten the new stuff in my target yet not even Rat King has hit. I can't think of anyone more excited than you to get those stump bros haha. For marvel legends, the new cable is probably my favorite figure this year. Definitely glad to finally have a proper Sabre Tooth for my display now as well.

Seriously though glad you figured things out and are in a more stable and responsible place in your life. Like you, I've started instituting rules into my collecting. Just because I like something doesn't mean I need it and you can appreciate some things from afar.
