It's tough at times, sometimes dangerous, but you also have the best gear and training and want for nothing. I went to Nam, and even to the South Pole. Great home bases at Port Hueneme, and Gulfport. Loved every minute thru thick and thin. Once a Seabee, you will always be a Seabee. Can Do!

10th Group is a active duty unit unless National Guard Soldiers serve in active duty units .If she is National Guard she should belong to either the 19th or 20th Special Forces Group which are both National Guard SF units.If she is a National Guard Soldier she is mostly a civilian unless on duty.

I was in the "Red Roos" (MCB 133) in Gulfport, Ms back in 1976. First deployment was Diego Garcia (The Rock...lol) And yes, we had our military training at good old "Camp Swampy". Unfortunately, I never made it in the cruise book because I had a mid-watch the night before and missed the photo shoot the next morning! Bummer! Great Battalion!

Don't wear light at night ...dangerous you can be target by sniper. Use invisible flash light like infrared and uv beyond visible then they mix at the obstacles and it apears green ...that way sniper can not see you but you see everything like night vision. Infact that is formula for night vision cost thousand of dollar each

I kind of liked the lack of character development. For so many people in the war, especially for the convoy transports, it was a quick whirlwind of chaos. I think it kind of reflects how fast everything happened at sea in the Atlantic.

This was the 10th mountain division squad live fire and idk what brigade battalion or company this was but this squad was obviously taught this at a company level because every squad live fire I’ve done here in the 10th mountain you have company commander, 1st Sgt, and all platoon SGT’s up on the cat walk and typically your squad leader or another squad leader is the safety.
