Garden Tour 2024 | Oklahoma #gardening #gardeninspiration
Garden Tour 2024. My son in law gave me free rein on his garden this past weekend, and I loved every minute of it. We had a great visit with my daughter and him this weekend. He surprised us all with a bouquet of roses each. We played in the garden, did fireworks, played cards, played with the kitties, and ate fresh veggies from the garden. Thank you for watching.

How I painted my Old Farmhouse Wood Floors. They were in pretty bad shape, and the girls weren't crazy about the red barn look, so I fixed them. They are painted but still show flaws on the woodboards. We will have some floor rugs, but overall, we are very pleased with the outcome. I bought the paint and the rollers at Ace Hardware, aka True Value. The paint tray and roller came from Dollar Gen...

    The video got so much better when the music stops. Constructive criticism, no disrespect; lose the background noise. The subject & your narration of it is great! The addition of distracting, monotonous & annoying music detracts greatly from your sharing of your knowledge. It's not bad to have it during the intro/outro or during the non-speaking parts.

    Wonderful, concise, informative video. It's mid-August, and here in NY goldenrod is just starting to bloom. It grows very abundantly here, and horses do not eat it (I mow my pastures anyway, but it is in the fencerows and on steep banks. I have a ton of it drying! It's going to rain all day, but I have lots of herbs to play with and make oils and tinctures. Elderberry, comfrey, and some ripe peaches for a cobbler, too. Thanks!

    i've enjoyed watching a few of your pickle recipes now, and i can't thank you enough. being lazy and not thinking that i am actually ready to do canning, i opted to follow your guidance on the refrigerator pickles, and made my first batch a couple of days ago. i don't have a garden, just bought a few english cucumbers at aldi's. i can't stand raw onions, but as part of my beautiful cucumber salad, they were great. it was so easy, following your instructions. as an added bonus, i have finally been able to replace my sharper image mandoline that i bought years ago, i'd been holding it together with duct tape for a while now. seeing the brand of that perfect looking slicer you had led me to find a new one. my new prepsolutions slicer is a great replacement for the sharper image one which i could not find again. so glad i found your videos. it was fun watching, and fun doing.

    The info you read out about water not going bad was really, really helpful. Thank you. Those smaller water bottles are single use only and should not be used for long term storage. They will leach plastics into your water and give you health issues. I'd try to replace those with another storage method if I were you. Also, you might want to consider something like Chlorine Dioxide drops to purify your water should it get contaminated. Brita has it's place, but it's really only good on water that is considered drinkable, not contaminated water. Blessings to you and your family. Thanks again.

    • @bluefeatherhomestead
      @bluefeatherhomestead Місяць тому

      Ah, ok. Thank you!! I will for sure look into getting some of those drops. That makes total sense that the filters are used to filter out the yuckies in tap water and such. I didn't even think about that. Thank you for the tips. Have a great day, my friend. 😊
