I loved the "Troll Sat Alone" song! Just lyrics like "Harder than stone is the flesh and bone of the troll that sits on the hills alone. As well set your boot to the mountain's root, for the seat of the troll don't feel it" and the fact that Tom in the song ever afterwards had a bad limp from kicking that troll in the butt is so funny!

The flight to the Ford had my heart pending as I read it! Hobbits are such magical people, Frodo showed incredible bravery!

There are some that want to to debate whether or not Peter Jackson's "The Lord of the Rings" was a good adaptation of the books and many who will do the same with his Hobbit movies, but none debate Howard Shore's music.
Definitely the best part of the movies
Agreed. Loads of issues with the movies but the sound track and to a lesser extent the casting isn't one of them
That shot of Gandalf being welcomed by Elrond - Gandalf has the demeanor of a little schoolboy towards a revered elder. But isn't Gandalf actually older than Elrond? Was that just a movie-thing to emphasize Elronds age and authority regardless of book-ages?
Yeah Gandalf is much much older than Elrond. That shot was from the Hobbit movies, maybe that Gandalf is just embarrassed by Thorin's reaction to entering Rivendell in the previous scene. Or maybe he's just really excited to get to the feast they're walking to.
