Agreed, it looks great. But eieie you didn't know the check engine light was broken? And needed a turbo pronto? Yikes$$$!!! Diesel should get >36 mpg... 528i gets >30 mpg. F10 owner here... the headlight fix mentioned early hit home... some (a lot) of disassembly required to fix 'angel eyes', wheel liner, etc..... everything is crazy complicated.

I have a 2005 w211 e220 with 80k kms. I inherited it from family with 60k kms. Had all sorts of issues ( injectors, air suspension, leak in shifting box) but that’s because the car was in garage since before the pandemic. Apart from that it’s an amazing car and drives like a charm. And honestly still beautiful for an almost 20 years old car.

I've had a 09 x5 for four years, i paid 6400 quid for it, ive kept it pretty mint, it has 104k on it and apart from little things like an a.b.s sensor and tyres its needed NOTHING !! ...im a mechanic so service it, probably too much but, for the sake of 80 quid...why not ??... the m57 is one of the greatest diesel engines ever made, this, the banana engine from smiley transits and peugeots ultra reliable x.u.d engine will not be beaten for reliability....look at what came after in the tranny and the x5, the shite 2.2 tdci 🤮...and the N57...lovely, powerful..but so bad even the police dumped bmw....the only thing i hate on them is changing the air filter !! 😂... an awkward bastard of a job 😁🤣....but...id recommend the E70 all day long....ive been offered 6000 quid for mine !!... after 4 years of ownership...but....i dont really want to part with it....its such a tremendous car ✌

8:54 EVOX-R V2.0 Bi Xenon Projector Lenses around $80-90 2-3 hours install time, if you are handy and the night's will turn into a day plus you can change the adjusters and put on new headlight lenses while you disassembly the headlight. After 2002 the headlights doesn't use Butyl. But are permanently sealed, this mean you have to cut the OEM headlight lenses to remove them(unusable after that)and put new lenses after that. But the 2000-2002? Have a Butyl that come off really easy with hot air pistol.

A5 has a lot of predecessors not only the Audi coupe from the early 80s there's been Audi 80 and 90 coupe, S2 coupe and even the hard top TT was called a coupe.

I had one of these, 2004, but with the far superior 270 CDI (5 cylinder) engine. So much better than the 4cyl 220.

My dad pulled up with a x5 2009 48drive and it drinks petrol. But it’s okay cuz like in the Middle East it only cost like 25 dollars to fill the car

Great video. Love my dad’s 520i. Plenty fast even on the German motorways. Vmax 220 km/h even in the pre-facelift model. And silky smooth engine. PS: Pre-facelift 1998, but still love it. A real classic.

I have an 07 with the 4.8 and im almost at 270k kms. They are decently reliable vehicles if u stay ontop of maintenance like oil changes, coolant leaks etc.

I was thinking buying one with diesel engine 3.0 liters m57 engine was apparently the most reliable, but then again every car costs, luckily the spare parts are relatively cheap for this one at least in Europe especially if you buy them on German eBay, the new one like F15 platform had more issues with engines and other stuff, I was told so by many people.

E220cdi Most annoyying car i ever owned sensors ,alternator now the egr valve is stuck open cosy me 2000 quid in 2 years went back to petrol never looked back, the petrol merc of this car is so much less hassle
