What is the tool you used to move the belt up before putting the allen wrench in? That’s the tool I’m missing and I can’t for the life me get anything else to work

Thank you very much. My 2008 toyota sienna when is parked overnight, in the morning when i go to drive, I have to go over 4000 rpm for the car to move, when the car get hot I have no problem. Do you think if I change the solenoid it will fix? I have this problem of over 6 months and just one time the car showed the code P2714. I did a scanner and clean the code and never showed up again.

My sisters car had only 2nd and third, used a code reader. Said it was solenoid SLT, S4, and SL1, I changed those and now it doesn’t even shift into ANY gear at all. I’ve took it apart twice, changed the solenoids again and still nothing. I don’t get what’s wrong with it.

Tip: Remove driveshaft mount bolts from the body. The bolts he removed are mainly shot

Tip: Once you remove seat, dont pull carpet from back. The factory pre cut access squares in the carpet. This guy is creating extra work for himself

Tip: you dont have to remove the plastic under the back seat

I have a 2007 highlander 3.3L AWD and when the transmission is cold it revs to 2000 rpm @25 mph and hangs up ...seems like it doesnt wanna shift after 25mph but once it warms up its fine. what is my problem?

What was the 2nd piece you taped after the spring, and what does it do? I just read a comment where you answered it's check valve but how important it is because i just finished put everything back and i could not figured out how and where supposed to go. I also found 3 loose tiny ball bearings and no idea where they came from.

Open your eyes look a filler flap and therevs cover that goes over the filler neck thats your cap

Thanks for taking the time to do this. I have an AWD thats starting to get that tick exhaust sound. I was able to do the steering rack myself snaking it out around the AWD transfer case. Itll be interesting to see if i can even access bolts with transfer case in the way.

What solenoid did you replace? I have the same issue with "B" perf/stuck off. I tested the line pressure control solenoid, shift solenoid valves: SL2, and SL3, and changed the filter (strainer assy.) But after putting back together its still slipping as soon as it shifts, or attempts to shift into 3rd
