Fall Cottagecore Dress & Other Easy Thrift Flip DIYs
Come with me for an easy thrift flip for the week inspired by fall Cottagecore. I’m going to try my hand at dying, hemming, and remaking ugly, ill-fitting clothing from the thrift store into things worthy of belonging to the cottagecore witch I aspire to be.

Sewing a Strawberry Thief Summer Dress from Joann’s Liberty Fabric
Переглядів 54410 місяців тому
I’ve been wanting some Liberty Fabric in their Strawberry Thief pattern from my local Joann’s to make a new dress but I never knew if it was worth it. I’m so glad I bit the bullet and bought enough yardage to make a new summer dress. I definitely think the Liberty Fabric from Joann’s is worth every penny. I hope Joann’s keeps the Strawberry Thief and other Liberty Fabric prints in stock for a l...

Making Claire's Boar Hunt Outfit from Outlander Season 1: History Bounding Sewing

Yeah that specific black bleeds *bad * but I used that gold on my FW too and a light layer is all it needs. It looks barely covered when you are spraying but once it dries it looks perfect honestly. But I finally got a cricut and I’m excited to try out some stenciling too!

I am so sad that AD didn’t restock the black/blue Bernadette’s! I only recently discovered AD & got the new green Parker’s, but of all the beautiful Oxford style shoes they have I probably would have splurged and bought those Bernadette’s if they had them. Unfortunately they changed to blue/white and aren’t currently planning on restocking the old color

@@BiblioChic I really love the style of shoe but it doesn't _quite_ fit right. I added a half inset & need to try adding a sandle strap pad to the top of the heel since it doesn't quite hug my heel enough. I think I will play with some varying thicknesses of hosiery to get the perfect fit. Wearing to church it is mostly comfortable, the true test will be in a couple days when I wear them to an event where I will be on my feet 4/5hrs. For me the heel height is fine & it I don't mind fiddling with inserts and padding to make it work right for me. I am considering finding some type of clip so if I want to wear them without the ribbon bow I can, but not sure yet. Can't wait till I can try some of their other shoes!

omg yesss to ACOTAR! I have some yarn by a STL based Yarn dyer called "Red Door" that is ACOTAR inspired called "One hell of a highlord." Its a dark navy and silver varigated DK weight and I have 4 skeins and I desperatly want to use it but i'm hoarding it because its too precious. So glad you found another series to love! I hope the pattern works out, but if you have to rip back, that happens. Put on some good rage music and go to town. :D I love the color you got, starfall! Its bright and fun and I love the contrast of the deeper blues. Your shawl is gorgeous!!! What a great item to have to just toss on!!! I am also heartbroken to hear about the final season. I am so so excited to get two more seasons, but I am hoping they'll be longer ones, since season 6 got cut short. I'm watching through with my spouse for their first time, and I can't wait to watch the final two seasons together! I love scarfie yarn. I have done several quicker projects with it and its a nice easy yarn to work up! I've been on a small knitting hiatus, unintentionally. I bought Pokemon Violet on my switch so I've been reliving my youth the last few weeks and it's been so much fun. Hoping to get back to some projects soon. Specifically a baby blanket for a nephew I have due in April!
