Welcome to the Saturn Manes UA-cam! Saturn Manes is an elite competitive North American dressage club on Star Stable Online founded and owned by Petra Darkbrooke! We strive to create beauty in the arenas with our competition routines, push the boundaries of dressage and provide a fun and welcoming atmosphere for our members all at the same time!

Saturn Manes | SSD Internationals 2023 "The "Love" Of Hades and Persephone"
PLEASE NOTE: We have since disbanded. This footage is old.
Disclaimer: Although we were not placed in Internationals 2023, we were very proud of this routine. SSD scored our submission a 91.75, making it a very impactful accomplishment for us. We hope you enjoy SM's final performance as much as we enjoyed putting it together!
Notable Characters and Figures:
1. Persephone (The Goddess of Spring) - White Friesian
2. Hades (The Lord of the Underworld) - Black Friesian
3. The Furies (Goddesses of Vengeance) - Black Lippizanners (In Red)
4. The Moirai (The Sisters of Fate) - Black Lippizanners (In Purple)
5. The Nymphs (Nature Spirits) - Bay Lippizanners (In Green)
6. The Spirits of the Underworld - Bay Lippizanners (In Blue)
The word "Love" is in quotations for a reason. It's a cliche word given an
inconsistent definition with every tale. For the story of these two greek
gods, the meaning of love is up for interpretation.
0:00 - On a fine Midsummer Day, Persphone met a group of Nymphs in
a open meadow. The nymphs were drawn to her natural elegance and
joined her in a spontaneous dance.
1:48 - Without warning, Hades splits the ground beneath Persephone,
causing her to plummit into the underworld after taking an interest in
the young goddess as well. In shock, the nymphs flee in distress. The
furies witnessed her fall and felt the need to intimidate her upon her
arrival into the underworld
2:15 - The goddesses pester Persephone, further stressing her in the
new environment.
2:57 - Hades scolds the furies, forcing them to put a stop to their
mischief. Persephone finds his presence overwhelming and extremely
intimidating.
3:50 - Persephone slips away from Hades for a while to calm herself.
She soon meets the Moirai who comfort her in the foreign realm. The
sisters convince her to meet up with Hades again.
4:54 - Persephone returns to Hades with a calmer state of mind. She
witnesses a mellower side to him that no other god or mortal has seen
before and begins to fall for his charm.
5:26 - Persephone quickly is crowned Queen of the Underworld
5:40 - Soon after, a part of her began to feel guilty about leaving her
old life in the overworld behind for the life. She became torn between
the two lives now must live, as goddess of spring and queen of
the underworld.

Story behind our routine: When DD came out, the theme spoke to me immediately. I pictured the journey of SM and I wanted to paint the story of our growth. I had the lippys start by entering the arena, showing us entering the dressage scene as a new club who was ready to face whatever the world would throw at us. I was amazed when I first saw SSO dressage unfortanatly my mom doesnt like spending money on games though so I cant do SSO dressage so I started what I presume to be the very first SSO inspired dressage team and this really helped with coaching them so thankyou!
WAIT OMG ALEX WAS IN SM??? MIND BLOWN WOAHHH. For context, I first watched this when it came out. 2 years later, I was in a team with Alex for awhile before it went on a hiatus. 😲😲

I was so excited for SM to be back! I so want to join but i'm not the level I believe its level 17 but i'm level 16 and halfway to level 17 omg I was so mad I wasn't at the requirement there!
