Gaslighting, for example, is a manipulative tactic used by narcissists to make their victims doubt their own reality. Sis ur not alone !!! I was attracted to the husbands so called love for God and how intentional he was about ministry, i was told i must change my dressing - I must wear hats to Church, cover my head etc i blindly did it all. i thought goodness he knows so much about God and he evangelises and does it all he must be right...how blind i was ...so his criticism of other Christians and Christians leaders and his constant debates, and arguments to "defend God" as he put it were unfortunately not red flags at the time. For the "sake of God and minsitry" he would scream amd shout at others who disagreed with him or had different opinions ... stupidly I translated it as zeal...Sis ur not alone😢 God is our strength x

Thank God for light-bulb moments and courage to walk away from an abusive marriage. Sadly, you will come across some annoying people, including older women who will say things that undermine and belittle your perseverance over the years when you were doing the best to keep a toxic and ungodly relationship, especially marriage.

THis video was my experience in a church as a church member. It almost killed me. I almost drank, smoked, self-harmede my pain away. But thank God I met a friend who spoke a lot about Jesus to me and I heard sermons from Zac Poonen (a preacher on youtube) and slowly began to understand my self-worth and how God loves and sees us all as worthy but how other people do not see our worth and mistreat us. May God bless you dear.

You were mentally manipulated/abused and that is not your fault. In this world of healing mentally and physically and the rest of it we put a lot on taking full responsibility but I think it is a dangerous way of gaslighting ourselves. Xxxx

Really sorry... You were only 24 not yet fully mature, your pastor misled you at your young age.... Marriage is such a personal decision .. decision should be between you and God...if you have a loving supportive family, they should be very key as well... Puting a pastor, bishop, prophet in the position of Jesus is dangerous, only Jesus is our mediator.they are just human with flaws...many pastors are also narcissistic & controlling. Remember: Jeremiah 17:9-10 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately corrupt;who can understand it. Mark 10:18 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone. 1 Timothy 2:5 - For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
