Fantastic cover of a fantastic song - probably my favourite Rush track. There is a debate about where Neil sits in the pantheon of drummers - some will argue he is some way off the great jazz drummers and didn’t have the swing and feel. Perhaps. But Rush fans expected the band to sound at least as good live as they did on vinyl. They expected the same level of complexity and virtuosity. They expected Neil to exactly recreate his drum tracks every single night. That’s just what floats our boats as Rush fans. And boy did Neil deliver. And remember, he always said he was a compositional drummer - he wrote these drum tracks - he didn’t copy anyone else. He wrote them to be complex and challenging and then he challenged himself to recreate them night after night after night. Best of all time? Who knows but I would say he was the best drummer Rush could have had - he was a perfect fit for them - and, in my view, he is the best of all time at compositional rock drumming. He will always be remembered for as long as people are banging drums and playing music. In that sense he (with Geddy and Alex) is immortal and not just for a limited time.

When these albums came out, I'd put them on the turntable, put on the headphones and intently listen to Neil adding his touch to everything. In more recent decades since, I've loved watching people pay tribute to the master. Having just stumbled across Adam Johnston, this is hands-down the best covers ever. I actually get goosebumps, like I'm a teenager listening to my headphones again in 1981.

Now can you play the same song over with more intensity like the professor please.

Great work. Easy to see you have a lot of experience. Is that the Angel of Death from Poison Props? (I have the Grim Reaper.) On the website, the Angel of Death video is a lot more erratic with its arm movements. Did you reprogram the movements?

Nice job, and you are one of the few drummers who actually spent your time tuning your drums to sound like Neil's drum kit for this song.
