The Australians were replaced by 70th Division & the Polish Carpathian Brigade in September & October, 1941. Tobruk was relieved as a result of Operation Crusade in late November, 1941. Tobruk was later captured by axis troops, but in June, 1942. Where do you get your nonsense from?

@@dovetonsturdee7033 The Australians were NOT reliveved byt The :Polish, YES the Polish did send a force of 6,000 that started to arrive in late august, with total Polish casualties of 107 (KIA, WOUNDED and MISSING) the Poles did not do a lot of the fighting and they were NOT the mainstay when the last Autralians left, which was IN NOVEMBER, yes the Australians started leaving in AUGUST! When they were there the Australians had no air cover and little aritillery and some British tanks, they were rplace by thousands of South Africans, Moe British and 6,000 Poles and some czecks, the garrison was THOUSANDS more than when the Australians were there, they had aritillery now, the desert air force was pre eminent, the supplies were excessive and yet FINALLY tey could NOT hole, with more men, air power and resources they FAILED where the Australians did not falter so the question has to be WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR INOFORMATION FROM!

@@HenriHattar Are you off your head? The Australian troops in Tobruk were withdrawn by the Royal Navy between 19 & w9 August, 1941. The lift took out 5,040 men of the 18th Australian Infantry Brigade and the Indian 18th King Edward's Own Cavalry, on three destroyers, a minelayer and one destroyer carrying supplies, with cruiser escorts as anti-aircraft ships. A cruiser and a destroyer were damaged. At the same time, 6,116 men of the Polish Carpathian Independent Rifle Brigade and Czechoslovak 11th Infantry Battalion, together with 1,297 long tons (1,318 t) of stores were landed. From 19-27 September, the British 16th Infantry Brigade, 70th Infantry Division (Major-General Ronald Scobie), the HQ of the 32nd Army Tank Brigade and the 4th Royal Tank Regiment with 6,308 men and more 2,000 long tons (2,032 t) of supplies arrived. More Australians, 5,989 men of the 24th Australian Infantry Brigade then left, with no loss of ships. From 12-25 October, the rest of the 70th Infantry Division was delivered and most of the Australians removed. although some Australians, 2/13th Australian Battalion, and two companies of the 2/15th Battalion did remain in Tobruk. Command of the garrison passed from Morshead to Scobie. There were no South Africans involved until the time of the second siege, of which you are apparently unaware, which was between 17 & 21 June, 1942, when the port was taken. 'WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR INOFORMATION FROM!' Basically, from every military history of the North African campaign of WW2.

The information on the makeup of the Red and Blue lines is a bit skew whiff. It was the Red line that had the concrete posts , as made by the Italians. The Blue line was started, but certainly not complete . The Blue line was manned by Australian troops in a reserve capacity, and was a couple of miles behind the front line, the Red line. Memory can be a poor servant, but the Red line had about 130 to 150 concrete bunkers or posts in the 28 mile perimeter. Also gartison strength was reduced to about 23 K as soon as possible by Morshead, the Australian Major General in command of the Tobruk Garrison.

Finding the exact details on this was rather difficult, just because a lot of sources seemed to mix up which Siege of Tobruk they were talking about as well as some focusing on solely the British, some the Australians, etc.

Hey, so bit of an update. The JLTV order seems to have been cancelled or never went through. Meaning we aren't buying American for now. Bigger problem is that we don't really have indigenous MRAP industry as much anymore beyond Foxhound. But since that is getting a fair bit of development atm there is a decent chance it might get pegged for some bits of the original JLTV contract.

They are good looking and seem to be well designed. But as I have read elsewhere, they aren't built to the atandards of a fighting ship either in terms of hardness or fire fighting. Messing around with more guns would probably be unprofitable, as they are adequate and balanced patrol ships. What we need is a modular solution in case of general war, in the form of a 20' shipping container built to hold an array of modular weapons and their associated fire controls. This could include deck mounted torpedoes, Starstreak missiles and an anti-UAV laser. That way no expensive modifications or down time would be incurred on the hulls, nor would a more aggressive apparent posture be assumed. And the solution could be implemented in the most cost-effective and flexible way.

I am Peruvian, yes, Perú can buy Type 31 Leander frigates or another model, and we could also buy Challenger 2 tanks from England because they are good candidates for Peru. I will not comment more on military channels. I have already stopped publishing on military channels. because I am busy, that is why I publicize in this way, now due to future wars for water and natural resources in Latin America Peru must buy all kinds of heavy military material from any country in this case English frigates and tanks I would say they are the best candidates for Peruvian armed forces, Peru used British military weapons in the Cenepa armed conflict we used British Canberra fighter-bombers It should be noted that Peru shot down 7 aircraft to Ecuador and Ecuador shot down 6 aircraft to Peru, but Peru won because we Peruvians kept territory Tiwintza, returning to the theme of the Type 31 Leander frigates England offered Peru these frigates to replace the Peruvian fleet that is made up of the lupo class, consolidating renewal and to arm the Peruvian armed forces, I understand that it can be built in SIMA PERU, and Technology transfer can be done with Bae Systems, Cammell Laird, they are partners, they won an international tender in 2020, I understand that the cost of the Type 31 Leander Frigate is 350 million dollars, the FREMM frigates The F-100 Frigates of Spain are between 850 and 900 million euros It is not 400 or 600 million euros as some say, the FREMM frigates are very expensive from 700 million or more in euros, they are also expensive a cruise ship sank a ship from Venezuela coming from Navantia Spain, that is why the best candidate for the Navy of Peru is the English frigate Type 31 Leander is modern, it has good technology for the Peruvian Navy we must acquire when there is a budget later the Type 31 Leander 1, 2 or 4 English frigates, depending on the budget that Peru has and in terms of the English Challenger 2 tanks They are good candidates for the Peruvian Army and Peruvian Armed Forces. The price per unit is 5 or 7 million dollars. Its cost is around there. It has good armor, good technology, and is considered one of the best tanks in the world. It is also expensive, but it is a good tank, I think it weighs 62.5 tons, but it has a lot of armor and it also has real combat experience used in Iraq, the important thing is that it has been used in combat I think they have 148 tanks the country Oman also uses these tanks, hopefully Peru and England reach an agreement later and a new Peruvian president buys about 60 Challenger 2 tanks this would be accompanied by the construction of hospitals and schools, the United Kingdom is also the main responsible for the reconstruction of the North of Peru by British companies. Regarding the tank candidates for Peru, all tanks, whether new or second-hand, are expensive, maintenance is expensive, the Peruvian military has already said that they will never buy tanks from Russia again, Black tanks South Korean Panthers are expensive, they are 85 million dollars and on top of that it is very expensive to pay more than necessary and they still do not export to other countries due to their high cost, French Lecrerc tanks are just as expensive everyone knows that in France nothing is cheap, after Turkish Altay tanks no because a Turk refused to sell new ships to Peru in the Pacific war Peru and Turkey have a good alliance but when it comes to buying tanks or spare parts, components there could be problems with the Turks, Merkava IV Israel no transfer technology and there would be problems in the bidding and the Abrams tank from the United States not because everyone already knows the Americans, even though you are an allied country of the United States, they impose restrictions and prohibitions to all, Peru is an ally of United States, a Peruvian ambassador named Rivera Shreiber warned the US months before the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Peruvian was honored in the US now returning to the subject, that is why the best candidate for the Peruvian Army is the English tank challenger 2 Hopefully when Peru has a budget with a new Peruvian president, Peru buy Type 31 Leandre frigates or another model and name them Martin George Guisse and Miguel Grau, British Englishman George Guisse was the founder of the Peruvian Navy with Jose de San Martín The Englishman George Guisse fought against France, he also fought against Napoleon Bonaparte and later he fought against the Spanish,Another thing would also be good to buy Challenger 2 tanks and name William Guillermo Miller and Francisco Bolognesi, because the English William Guillermo Miller was the designer of the Peruvian military uniform of what is now the Peruvian Army, Miller helped José de San Martín to liberate Peru in its independence, Peru has a lot of influence, English doctrine and tradition, British Miller fought in the battle of Waterloo, and also the English Guillermo Miller fought in the battle of Junín and Ayacucho, which were very important battles for independence of Peru, here in Peru there are always magazines and a lot of information saying that the English empire supported Peru to free itself from the Spanish empire, that is, it is obvious that we Peruvians are accepting England and George Guisse as Liberators of Peru because if not in Peru we would not they would be putting a lot of information about this and would say that independence was bought, which is not the case, it is already proven that independence England and the English did many things for Peru, as I have said on other occasions, although Simón Bolívar is the Liberator of Peru, England, the United Kingdom, the English people, and Argentina and the Argentine people are also the liberators of Peru. Although it is true that Peru and England are enemies, I say this because the English, the Falklands War, the Pacific War and the Pacocha battle are almost always talked about. I am Peruvian, this is the user Bomba atomica Racso and T-Rex, go back to watch military-themed channels with this user, this will be published on military channels, the Peruvian government believes that in 1975 to 1978, the Peruvian government wanted to acquire a aircraft carrier to England when Peru could have declared war on Chile, the English government had no impediment and the English said that if they could sell the aircraft carrier to Peru, Peru had the English Canberra fighter bombers and the Hawk Hunter to attack Chile, the English demonstrated once again that Peru and England are allies, the error came later with Belaunde Terry, who put Peru in the Malvinas, which Peru should have been neutral to improve the military alliance between Peru and England. Peru must be neutral and never get involved in the Malvinas conflict again. In the Pacific War and England's supposed financing of Chile in the Pacific War, I understand that England actually financed Peru and Chile, but the traitor Prado did not want to fully arm Peru, that is why we stopped being financed by England, In fact, the Huascar ship from Peru was English, Bolivia was the only country that was not financed by the English, and England also retained two ships from Chile and Peru during the Pacific War, apparently England was neutral, also that Prado was of Chilean origin I betray leaving unarmed and bankrupt With very little weapons, we had nothing on us. Prado fled from Peru. finally england the English founded from cities, banks, companies, schools, Inca kola drink, they even made football popular in Peru among many other things, etc. Thanks to England, Peru and Peruvians exist without England, Peru would not exist, it would continue to be a colony of Spain. This is reality, everyone knows this, that is why England should be the new liberator of Peru, and make the English language official. in Peru in honor of England, Peruvians would speak in English and Spanish who knows this could happen in the future who knows because the reality is that England, George Guisse, José de San Martín and Simón Bolívar would continue to be the liberators of Peru, perhaps in the future England becomes the new liberator of Peru and history can be taught in schools and in all parts of Peru. Finally to add the British admiral Frederick Stirling, the French Du Petit Thouars, the Italian commander Labrano, as well as the ministers plenipotentiary of Great Britain and France, intervened to prevent Lima from being violently taken. You can see another support from England to Peru, in addition to Englishmen, Englishmen and Italians fought against Chilean soldiers in Lima, one or more Englishmen died in real combat and also Italians died in combat, also English sailors and Italian sailors landed due to the obvious attack Chilean. occupation in Lima, I understand that in the battle of San Juan and Chorrillos Peru used British Nordenfelt machine guns, In addition, it is all interests, in any case England supported Peru in the Pacific War I hope that in the future Peru and England improve the military and economic alliance. Greetings from Lima Perú.

Military Tour Perú: I am Peruvian, this is the last thing I am going to say about the English, Peru must tell this to the world and not wait for others to tell the story, the world is changing and more and more information is increasing in my country about the English and everything what they did for Peru, England is the mother country of Peru now I explain this because the rulers of Peru made England our enemy, she feels as if Peru betrayed Argentina that's how she feels, I hope that the same thing does not happen to any country with another country just as Peru and England became enemies I say this because almost always they talk about the English, the Malvinas war and the war of the Pacific, I am Peruvian, this is the user speaking Racso Atomic Bomb and T-Rex return to watch military channels with this user, The Peruvian government believes that in 1975 to 1978, the Peruvian government wanted to acquire an aircraft carrier England when Peru could have declared war on Chile, the English government had no impediment and the English said that if they could sell the aircraft carrier to Peru, Peru had the English Canberra fighter bombers and the Hawk Hunter to attack Chile, the English once again demonstrated that Peru and England are allies, the error came later with Belaunde Terry, who put Peru in the Malvinas, which Peru should have been neutral to improve the military alliance between Peru and England, when there is a budget in the future I hope that English Frigates Type 31 Leander can be acquired, and name the frigates Miguel Grau and Guisse because the Englishman Martin George Guisse is the first founder of the Peruvian Navy with Jose de San Martín, England offered Peru these frigates to replace the Peruvian fleet that is made up of the lupo class consolidating renovation and to arm the Peruvian armed forces, I understand that it can be built in SIMA PERU, they are partners who won an international tender in 2020, I understand that the cost of the Type 31 Leander Frigate is 350 million dollars, the FREMM frigates The F-100 Frigates of Spain are between 850 and 900 million euros It is not 400 or 600 million euros as some say, the FREMM frigates are very expensive from 700 million or more in euros, they are also expensive a cruise ship sank a ship from Venezuela coming from Navantia Spain, that is why the best candidate for the Navy of Peru is the English frigate Type 31 Leander is modern economy, it has great technology for the Peruvian Navy we must acquire when there is a budget later the Type 31 Leander 1,2 or 4 English frigates, depending on the budget that Peru has this will be when there is a new patriotic and intelligent government because with the terruco and communist of Pedro Castillo nothing is ever going to be bought, also England will build hospitals and schools in Peru we are talking about 7 million, 2 billion the United Kingdom, through a consortium formed with British companies, will promote approximately 118 projects in Peru, now Peru and England must reflect on the mistakes of the past due to the fight against Pacocha, the Supposed financing of England to Chile in the Pacific War, I understand that England financed Peru and Chile, but the Prado government did not completely arm Peru, that is why we stopped being financed by England, in fact the Huascar ship from Peru was English, Bolivia was the only country that was not financed by the English also England retained two ships from Chile and Peru during the Pacific War, apparently England was neutral, also that Prado was of Chilean origin betrayed leaving unarmed with very little weapons we had nothing on us Prado fled from Peru, it was the fault of Prado's felon who did not buy anything and did not arm Peru and the Malvinas war should also be reflected upon the Peruvian government and the English government They must improve the military and economic alliance, England financed and freed Peru in its independence, the English also founded from cities, banks, companies, schools, Inca kola drink, they made soccer popular in Peru among many other things, etc. thanks to England Peru and Peruvians exist without England, Peru would not exist, it would continue to be a colony of Spain, this is the reality, everyone knows this, that is why in all schools in Peru, all Peruvians are taught English, English must also be the new and second language. official of Peru in honor of England, Peru must be like Canada I understand that Canadians speak English and French in Peru, they should officially speak two languages, English and Spanish, Peru and England should be allies because England, the English people, José de San Martín and the Argentine people are and will continue to be the liberators of Peru today and always. The Peruvian president at the UN, Pedro Castillo tried to destroy the economic and military alliance with Israel, Russia and Morocco, Peru must be neutral and never again get involved in the Malvinas conflict. In addition, the English were war heroes and defended Peru because the English joined the Peruvian armed forces to defend the country, to add another fact is that the English Martin George Guisse was born in Gloucestershire England, a family of the local nobility was the son of Lady Elizabeth Wright and Sir John Guisse first baronet, the Englishman Martin George Guisse was the first founder of the Peruvian Navy as I mentioned and, in December 1821, he was decorated by San Martín with the brand new Order of the Sun, together with other Englishmen such as Guillermo Miller, Robert Forster and Diego Paroissien, the English Guisse rose through the ranks to officer of the British Royal Navy, where he served during the Napoleonic wars, once the war in Europe ended, he resigned from the British navy and bought his own ship to go to Latin America and participate in the wars of independence, Guisse's great-grandson is Peruvian aviator hero Jorge Chavez, After having settled in our national territory, San Martín appointed him rear admiral of the nascent Peruvian navy and participated in the blockade of the port of Callao, until it was interrupted by a Spanish naval expedition, after this confrontation was unfinished, he decided to go to Guayaquil where , after the war broke out with Gran Colombia, he fought and took the port of Guayaquil, but at the price of his life. He died in Guayaquil one night on November 23, 1828, his body was taken to Callao in Peru, in case of war England against any other country must support the Peruvian government and the Peruvian president must support England and deliver material of heavy War, give away fighter planes and send Peruvian soldiers to the British armed forces in gratitude to England because, as the British said, the British Empire financed the independence and liberation of Peru and the British also helped the Argentine José de San Martín to liberate Peru. It would be good if Peru could acquire the English frigates Type 31 Leander or some other model it would be good for the Navy from Peru, by the way my english is not very good Greetings from Lima,Perú

Just think of what a powerful punch the Batch 2’s could have if they had just kit of two Harpoon missles.

I think some have recently been fitted with the .50 cal heavy machine guns instead of the GPMGs which are only medium machine guns.

Welcome to the exclusive club…As a proud Australian; I’m led to believe; that the RAAF, are incredibly happy with this aircraft platform. According to media reports, we will acquire more!

These are Operated by the RAF not the RN and so we’re the Nimrods , etc . As for bases Nimrods had better range and yet still had bases at Kinloss Scotland and St. Mawgan in Cornwall. Should have sorted out Bae and got the Nimrod 4 sorted out ! Yet again bought and now dependent on the Americans! This was exactly why the Nimrod was built, to prevent this happening! Way ahead of anything the Americans had at the time ! Our own government and Bae too much time messing about. We were way in front of the Americans and we let them run on ahead of us ! Mostly through bickering and indecision !
