    Directions for using polycrylic are to wait at least 18-24 hours (or longer depending on conditions) before applying post water based stain. The reason? You may trap in moisture from the water based stain. I waited and put my first coat on. Now watching your video? You are just wiping away moisture from your wet sand and going right to the next polycyclic coat? Or are you waiting to dry? If the latter , then how long? Then how long before you repeat the process (wet sand)?

    You need to get a real tape measure and you should learn how to read a tape measure you wouldn't end up with these silly mistakes that none of us framers really deal with

    I just started my first welding / fabrication job after graduating welding school, and the number of times I've done this in 3 WEEKS has me mind blown, haha. Quick question... what is that type of tape measure called? It's pretty dark where I work, and that would come in handy for me.

  • @tradergirl7067
    @tradergirl7067 2 місяці тому

    I would not try this. I haven't met a top coat of poly that doesn't leave awful scratch marks. I almost fainted the first time I took a 320 grit sandpaper to my poly coated table I spent 2 days working on. you may be able to get away with it on wood but if you did this on a painted surface you would be left with awful swirl and scratch marks. and placing anything into that container of poly just ruins it . your supposed to pour the poly out into a container or plate and never contaminate the large container of products your going to be opening and closing over time.

    • @ShepherdsWorkbench
      @ShepherdsWorkbench Місяць тому

      I would agree with an oil based poly but the water based is much more forgiving
