I don't think it'll be the last game because Neil Druckmann has said he would like to make a Punisher game and just imagine starting off in a war and then it shows you his family death and then they could have the punisher going after the Irish mob, Biker Gang and a Mexican cartel like in season 2 of Daredevil but then have Billy Russo hunting you as he was the reason your family died because he was a hitman hired by the mob and then have the punisher smash and pull his face down a broken mirror and then throw him out of a glass window and then throw a car window and thats how jigsaw is made but that can be after Frank killing the Irish mob, the Biker gang and Mexican cartel and thats the prologue. Then its has a time jump to 2 years. Frank comes back and finds out that the city is run by the Gnuccis and Then they could Introduce The Russian again but make him last longer than in the film. And then once you killed the Gnuccis frank learns about multiple bombings in hells kitchen only to discover the IRA are in a gang war and then the punisher finds out that the leader of the Irish mob Finn Cooley is running the IRA after believing he killed him when he left a massive hole in his face from a shotgun. And after you've dealt with the gang war you get a phone call from unknown guy who needs your help. David lieberman aka micro, Frank learns his family have been kidnapped and wants his help. Frank discovers that they have been taken by a group of human traffickers and Frank and Micro help eacher other to find this group. Frank kills them all and saves Micros family and agrees to help Frank for saving his family. As punisher has been busy Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin has formed every gang in the city into an alliance including The Russian mob, Italian mob and the yakuza. Frank wipes all of them out and Wilson Fisk Frames you by having Bullseye kill innocent people wearing the punisher skull and then Frank kills bullseye Brutally and Fisk has his Tower on Lock down, Frank kills all Fisks men and then enters Fisks penthouse goes to his office and then has a massive epic fight with fisk but othersly Fisk gets away and Frank castle's lying down bruised up surrounded by armed police. Frank is taken to prison and every criminal wants him Dead. Frank is locked in a prison block and corrupt guards let out prisoners on frank and thats where he kills them all and then he escapes. Welcome back frank says Micro. Punisher is back and is on his way to Cesare's 100th birthday party with half the guys working in the italian mafia celebrating. The Punisher rubs his hands together because he has a clean shot on Cesare with his Sniper and a LMG to sort out his men. The punisher kills them all and heads back to his safe house only to meet the Russian again and frank takes a rope and ties it around the Russian head and throws him out of his apartment window but when Frank goes to look he's gone and then frank is contacted by micro and is told that Russian mercenaries are buying miltary weapons at the dock. Frank decides to go down and thats when he discovers an rogue army of ex cons are stocking up weapons and ammo on a ship named Mother Russia. Frank sneaks onto the ship only to find out that its heading to Grand Nixon Island a place where an army of ex cons live and there leader General Kriegkopf. And frank finds that the Russian has made himself a name there too. But as you guessed frank ends up killing everyone from a nuclear bomb General Kriegkopf was preparing to launch. And Frank comes home and someones left him a video message and frank turns on the video he seens his wife and kids skeletons dugged out of there grave. Who could do such a horrible thing Nicky Cavella he is the leader of the Italian mafia and what he does is pee's on them. Frank flipps and goes hunting for him and wiping out the Italian mafia on his way to him. Nicky Cavella sits in his office with a smug face as Frank walks in and The Punisher Punishes him. Frank grabes Nicky Jaw and Rips it from his face and then smashs his head into the table until the table breaks and after that frank tipps a can of gasoline on him and sets him on fire watching him scream well he's choking on his own blood. Frank is attacked by a group of masked people and then taken to a empty warehouse. Frank wakes up and the leader of the masked people takes there mask off and Frank shocking learns that Billy Russo Survived and his face is so mangled that its disturbing to look at. Billy Russo now Calls himself Jigsaw and frank is brutally beaten by Jigsaw and left out on the street for dead. 2 weeks later frank hunts them down and brutally kills Jigsaw by smashing Jigsaw face to mush with a sledge hammer. Frank walks a way from Jigsaw and his Dead people only to be knocked out. Frank wakes up on boat and is introduced to Barracuda and thats the end of the first punisher game reboot. And the end credit scene can have Kingpin in meeting with every Mob boss in the state. And that's my story and what i would like to in a new punisher game and one thing no matter what they have to bring back the interrogation system and the special kills because that's what makes The punisher do what he does best punish criminal scum.
I finally played through the Punisher last year thanks to a cheap used Xbox copy and I liked it. I agree that some of the bosses aren't great and the later bullet sponge enemies can be annoying. But, I'd still give the game a 9/10. Definitely a 10/10 If you're a hardcore Punisher fan. I'd like to see it get remastered with the baloney censorship removed. Maybe give it the same treatment Spongebob Battle For Bikini Bottom got in 2020. I don't trust Volition to make it, given how bad the new Saints Row turned out. If Wolverine can get a new M rated single player focused game, so can the Punisher. I don't recommend the recent comics and please don't adapt those into a game, movie, or show. Stick with those excellent 2000s comics.
