Summon Your Power - Psalm 68
Переглядів 46Місяць тому
#psalms #psalm68 #spiritualsongs My heart was heavy when I received the news that a dear friend was withdrawing from his public Christian ministry. In the past, he was a chaplain who had served in a war zone. After many years, certain pain and trauma from those times had resurfaced, and he didn't have the strength to continue serving. My heart went out to him via the words of this Psalm. As I p...
Honouring the Father
Переглядів 26Місяць тому
By looking at Jesus' relationship with God the Father, we can see more clearly the nature of our relationship with Him, and also be better positioned to honour our own earthly father and mother. In this brief talk, I have introduced a new descriptive term: Co-positionalism. I use this to mean people seeking to assert themselves as equal and identical with God the Father in terms of their positi...
Molech is Death - The gods of this Age (3)
Переглядів 182 місяці тому
The third entity in the “unholy trinity’ of idols in ancient religion was Molech (also referred to as Chemosh or Milcom). The worship of Molech required people to sacrifice their own children. The strategy of the demonic entity behind it was simple - destruction of the individual, the family, and the community. With the worship of Molech, the demonic work of the unholy trinity of idols was comp...
Ashtoreth is Jezebel - -The gods of this Age (2)
Переглядів 662 місяці тому
The secondary idol of ancient pagan religion was Astoreth (also known as Ishtar or Astarte), the consort of Ba’al. Jesus refers to this entity as ‘Jezebel’ (alluding to the Sidonian princess married to Ahab, one of the kings of Israel in the Old Testament). Jesus describes the tactics of this spirit, which tries to emasculate men and defeminise women, thus making way for the downfall of the ind...
Baal is Antichrist -The gods of this Age (1)
Переглядів 662 місяці тому
The idols of ancient pagan religion reassert themselves in this Age. They may wear different disguises, but the demonic entities behind them are the same. The supreme idol of ancient pagan religion was Ba'al, the counterfeit 'Son of God'. The New Testament refers to this entity as antichrist, the spirit that tries to replace the true Son of God. In Jesus Christ, every lie of every demon is unma...
Women Speaking in Church (1 Corinthians 14)

#1Corinthians14 #1Timothy2 #1Corinthians11 What does the Bible teach about women speaking in church? At this stage in history, it is important that the church embrace more and more fully the whole counsel of Scripture. We should not avoid what it clearly teaches on this matter, or make excuses for setting it aside or reinterpreting it. Main Text: 1 Corinthians 14:33-35 Additional Texts: 1 Timot...
What Jesus taught about OATHS

#jesusteachings #oaths #promises An oath is a promise with something attached to it, to try to add weight and credibility to the promise. In His teaching on oaths, Jesus shows why Christians never need to do this. We have already given our 100% 'Yes' to God - and should simply live like it. Good message. I wonder about the crowd in Jerusalem. Days before his trial the crowd loved and welcomed Jesus. Now a crowd cheers for his crucifixion?! Was it the same people? Was it a paid crowd? Judas was paid to betray Jesus, so this technique is already established. Was the crowd there as a threat to Pilate? Was this crowd paid to represent a false reality to Pilate that a vocal "majority" wanted Jesus killed? Are these same techniques used even today in attempts to "kill" the Truth? Nothing new under the sun. Deception requires constant maintenance.

Thank you so much for sharing your testimony. This video really touched me, and I’m just so thankful to God for saving you while Satan was trying to destroy your life and take you to the demonic realm. Praise Jesus for what he’s done. Be blessed, never forget what He has done in your life.

Correction: no one alive today was ever "under the law". Saying they were is a result of applying a 2,000 year old letter to a specific group of people to people today.

Thanks for your comment. I'm not sure how familiar you are with the whole letter to the Galatians, or with the Bible narrative as a whole. As is often the case with Biblical teaching, concrete examples from history are used to illustrate universal points about human psychology. Law in Galatians refers to the Mosaic law (the Hebrew Law), but Paul also refers to the basic, universal principles of reality as being 'law' (for example the golden rule). I imagine you would agree that on a psychological level, everyone passes through processes of internalising principles for living life, until those principles become innate and change from being rules to being tools. For example, learning a musical instrument you start with learning and practicing rudiments and exercises, until your muscle memory takes over and you can use what you've learnt from that process very fluidly. So although you are right that Paul was writing to a specific group of people, his writings always also illustrate much more universal points.

I was expecting a woman who was going to deliver ancient traditions or ways of women that only women would know to truly tap into the power we all feel inside but instead its a MAN telling us we don't have any power or anything special about us but that our only purpose in life and the only way we can have power is to be beneath a man and worship a man, be everything to a man. Well isn't this the problem with life. The foundation of why women are abused and mistreated for centuries! I'm so sick and tired of this belief that women are nothing and that men are everything. Men have ruled because they are bullies, they are stronger than women and therefore used that against women never realizing that women have power, we are more than a man's servant and have our own minds and are capable of so much more than we believe. 😡😡

Thanks for your comment. Please excuse the delay in replying - I've only just seen it. I'm sorry that you've felt the need to interpret what I've said that way. I certainly understand why you may take it that way. In fact, I have enormous respect and admiration for many of the women who have in fact ruled - including Boadecia (Queen of the Iceni), Queen Elizabeth 1 and 2, and some modern female politicians (I won't mention who so I don't get further misunderstood!). I am deeply grateful for the many strong, powerful, special women that I have had the privilege of knowing over the years, and from whom I have learnt a lot. I do believe that the 'war' between men and women is sad, tragic, and unnecessary.

Great. Also Exodus 20:4b/Deut.5:8b makes explicit generational blessing and/or cursing by God. Genesis 12:3/1Cor.3:16-17 God asserts punishment on those who harm the righteous in faith.
