It takes us back to the time our parents or grandparents grew up and gives us a visual insight into their many stories. Additional details and background information are in the video description. Dutch History: Aalsmeer Flower Parade Celebrates the Virtue of Love (1959)

EN - The Aalsmeer parade, which enjoyed great fame because it was broadcast annually on TV, stopped in 2007. A restart in 2011 did not lead to a permanent return. The largest Dutch parade, and even the largest in the world, is that of Zundert, which takes place in September. In 2012, the Zundert parade was the first Dutch tradition to appear on the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage. In addition, the parades of Vollenhove, Sint-Jansklooster, Lichtenvoorde, Valkenswaard and Bollenstreek are among the largest in the Netherlands. Tja, mag allemaal weer terugkomen; dat scheelt vervuilende schepen uit het verre buitenland met deze goederen.
Het moet allemaal maar goedkoper. Zijn er eigenlijk nog wel schoenenfabrieken in Nederland? Brabant stond er vroeger bekend om, zoals bijv. Van Haren schoenen.

Apart, die Kromhout bussen, met motor achterin, vlak voordat de Saurers kwamen die weer de motor voorin hadden en een grote deken of cover met ruitjespatroon over de motorkap binnen. En wat hobbelden die krengen als ik naar Kethel ging om te zwemmen in Groenoord. Als je achterin zat dan kon je met je kop tegen het plafond geslingerd worden.
@corvanha1 - dat was natuurlijk ook best spannend om dan achterin te zitten. Soort rups als op de kermis :-)
