Thanks for addressing this true issue. My New 12 inch Echomap Uhd2 has an incredibly hot screen. I can’t pinch in and out without getting finger tips painfully hot. It’s only 76 degrees in NY in October. I Called Garmin and the support acted as though it was an unknown problem and said maybe if I attach a chassis ground wire, that might help. I will try but I doubt it. I will also try the recommendations advised here.

I wonder if you can calibrate the voltage display? Mine rarely shows the 13 VDC with a charged battery, usually shows 11.8 when running.

Seems kinda "fishy" that Garmin REQUIRES buyers of their product to go to a totally different company to get Garmin software updates, instead of getting them directly from the Garmin site! I'm old, but pretty good with a computer. But, not so good with this dang "smart phone" thingy! I have a very limited data plan because I mostly use the phone for making and receiving phone calls. I guess I'll have to bring the unit inside and jump through all of Garmin's hoops to update it. I wish I'd known about this before buying it now! This would've been a deal breaker for me!

If your only running one transducer, can you turn the unit with the transducer pluged into it off , will the another unit still read the transducer

Take your logo off so it does not block out the screen !!!
