I just got the x100f in brown. I want a vi, but i don't really want to pay then WAIT, or pay $1800+ for one. I love the f. It's very inspiring and well built.

Great review! Would have been cool to see these on a full frame camera to see out to the edges. Appreciate the honest thoughts though - these are very exciting lenses. A 100mm would round out the lineup as you say.

This camera will be a huge upgrade for me. I’m using the ZV-1F and iPhone 16 Pro currently. I only do simple tech reviews in a ghetto studio setting lol. I’m wondering if this will be overkill.

I wasn't going to (so called) update from the 'F' to the 'VI', after all the X100F file output size just about right for this type of camera, the original lens is good, not stupid digital sharp and lastly the slow focus makes you think about your photography in an analogue kind of way (I started photography as a school kid in 1981 so old person opinion). My non-weather sealed X100F has travelled snowy winters of Sweden and the Balkans, autumn torrential rain in Japan and the hot dusty bush of Australia yet never had an issue until recently, the dreaded OVF/EVF curtain issue. The X100F has parked my pro gear for travel due to size and weight, travel is easy without pro cameras and lenses, mine are Canon and Hasselblad, absolutely fantastic and heavy as hell. Now I have both the WCL & TCL converters (get these they are great), Fujifilm hood and filter adapter and UV filter, Zeiss CPL and Tiffen black mist (awesome wet night shoots) along with the NISI X100 pro filter kit (these are great for landscape). Really Right Stuff modular arca base-plate is a must (they are to make a VI one, great) along with a PD Carbon Travel tripod. The only thing I need from the X100VI is IBIS, outside this for me the X100VI has a lot to live up to, not the internet hype or TikTok BS (such losers) just live up to the X100F and I will be happy. Awaiting for it to arrive and excited to get behind it!

It's pretty funny in your first collage shot you put majority sony and only 1 canon - the wrong canon model since it's not even remotely largely used for video/ filmmakers (tht's the R5C). Can tell u dont know much about Canon .

I am content creator for my clients, and i am upgrading from an iphone to either song zv mark 2 or fuji mx5, the reason mx5 is on the list is it allows open gare shooting which when a ckient request both horizontal and vertical helps keep the work flow easy, now that being said, so far i was ok with verticle shoots, i want to ask is open gate that big deal? Or can we manage without it? Coz other wise sony wins

Using Zv e10 mark2 for couple of months It's not good for photography Good for videography If you use a gimbal footage becomes smooth and cropless

Just a couple hundred more and I’d get the Canon R8, it’s full frame and has solid autofocus.

I really hope they make an a6400 successor instead of E10, a6400 is still using micro-usb, not that anybody is going to use it, but it's a sign, plus there isn't any alternative to a6400 in sony's line other than E-10 which isn't suitable for photography without the micro-OLED

The X-M5 is pretty much to the X-S20 what the ZV-E10ii is to the A6700. Same video specs, same photo specs, same fan accessory but no EVF and no IBIS. When the ZV-E10ii chose to keep the larger battery, the X-M5 took the older smaller battery but retained the mechanical shutter and more control points for photo use (including twin control dials, a PSAM mode dial and a film sim dial).

The only issue is that the ZV-E10 original still exists and the fact that a6700 is better for more. The price doesn't completely justify it's overall spec and minor tweaks.

try pair it with a viltrox 28mm f4.5 AF. Veryyy stealthy. I do that for my ZV-E10.

I have the zv e10 and I think the 6700 is a worthier upgrade than this. Having no evf is just too much sometimes

Great video really enjoyed it. I am a must-have-an-evf-guy, so I'm currently agonising between the a6700 and the a7c Mark II. I've got some jobs coming up so I've got to decide. I've never owned a full frame digital camera. It may be about time to stop compromising. If it is a compromise, that is. 😅 Subbed!

Damn this was a well made video, I don't need the camera, had the zve 10 mk1 and really felt the need for 10bit and had some issues with the slog3 - didn't really work the same as on other sony cameras. I own a s5ii right now and i just won't go back to anything with worse ibis, but the zve10 mkii sounds amazing for beginners!
