Thanks for the super easy to follow and straight to the point guide. Used this to install 2tb ssd and 64gb ram just like you put in and I got it done within 10 minutes and my wife was very happy I wasn't dicking around with it all night LOL. For anyone wondering I have the g533qs-ds94 model from 2021. SSD used was Crucial P3 Plus 2TB and the ram was Crucial RAM 64GB Kit (2x32GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL22. Best of luck to anyone about to upgrade its very, very easy.
also upgraded the crappy wifi to Wi-Fi 6E AX210NGW Wireless WiFi Card BT5.2 M.2 2230. I have a 500 megabit connection and this new card is testing at 560 megabits which is how fast my ethernet cable runs too :) All the parts I listed were found on Amazon.
I bought this laptop on sale at 1099 on November 2022 from 1699 of the original price for the QHD version. With the money I saved I upgraded the SSD with 2 fast 1TB Gen 3 from Sabrent that runs cool and is much faster for gaming (I have cloned the internal to the first Sabrent and then replace it with another Sabrent for a 2TB total SSD), I replaced the slow stock ram 1Rx16 CL22 with super-fast 2x16GB DDR4 1Rx8 CL20 Kingston FURY (total 32GB) & I also replaced the unreliable WI-FI/Bluetooth card with a fast and reliable INTEL AX210 NGW. All this costed about 320$ that can be 220$ if you go for the more than enough 16GB ram. All the components I have removed I sold them for used and I made some extra cash (about 100$) for the rest of the upgrades. All the above are super easy to do if you have basic computer skills, 15’ time and a screwdriver. With the remaining money bought also on sale: one ROG Falchion NX 65 keyboard, one mouse ROG Chakram, the AUKEY PC-LM1E 1080p camera and the Creative Pebble V3 Speakers (total cost another 200$). All the above upgrades and accessories costed less than the discount I got from best buy and I added a few more $ to the ones I made by selling the stock parts for one QHD LG Ultragear 27GP850-B monitor at 165Hz that is currently on sale at 300$ for a full gaming set up and for bypassing completely the integrated GPU since there is no MUX switch in this laptop. On benchmarks and on new AAA games this configuration is faster about 25%-30% of the original configuration and faster than a i7 11800H + RTX 3080M laptop that cost about double the original 1699 price of this laptop with smaller SSD and less RAM! All upgrades plus the laptop and peripherals cost me a total of 1820$. All this for a full gaming set up (external screen, keyboard, mouse, speakers and camera) plus 2TB SSD, 32GB ram and fast WIFi6. Every game run on ultra-settings smoothly as butter. I highly recommend it even on original price at best buy if you are considering buying the Nvidia variation and you will have the fastest laptop out there and a lot of hard earned $ saved.
Excellent write up! Investing back into the upgrades is the way to go, this machine is super fast so well worth it! Nice job, your total gaming setup sounds fantastic!
My 64gb RAM just arrived..wish me luck 😬😬 Update: Installed and confirmed working. I think my touchpad may have moved about 0.5mm no issue. because my laptop did slide when using guitar pick to remove cover, so make sure its completly stable. Thank you so much for this video...so much easier than i thought.
Great tips, especially regarding connecting the Wi-Fi antennas before fitting the card, this really helped me. Downloaded the intel wifi drivers first and all went well. Thank you for posting this video.
I have the same laptop and I have 2 TB in each slot (Samsung 980 pro) with heatsinks, Consair Vengeance 64GB Ram with heatsinks. Runs a whole lot better now.
Thank you for this video. So informative, and really helpful. I'd love to see a video of you replacing the original SSD, and have windows installed in it. Just a tutorial on how to do it properly. Thanks.
Hey Sol, I was just rewatching this video and noticed that at 13:14 you have XMP 2.0 enabled? I thought G15 AE doesn't support XMP since it's AMD chip? Anyway I will buy same memory as you because it's the only one with CL20 latency by default(even without XMP) according to the specsheet.
Hello and thank you for the comment, you are correct that you can't select a specific XMP profile on this laptop but the default profile would load automatically which is what you see in the utility. I also reviewed the spec sheet just like you did and that is why I purchased that specific brand - here is the spec sheet for what I purchased in case anyone wonders www.kingston.com/datasheets/KF432S20IBK2_64.pdf thank you for watching and please let me know how your upgrade went! :)
@@Nikker468 Hello, the default profile would usually be the most optimized option which is unfortunately the only option we have on this laptop :) but to answer your question, if I did my math right, the CL17 would have a lower CAS then the CL20 so technically that profile could run a bit faster.
Intel XMP (DDR3, 4 and 5) has been supported by AMD’s processors and motherboards for a long time, memory with AMD EXPO (DDR5) should provide better optimization for AMD processors. Also, AMD EXPO profiles can theoretically be used by Intel platforms, too...this laptop doesn't support DDR5 but we can get DDR4 with XMP.

Guys already had this laptop you don’t need to upgrade the Wi-Fi unless you’re having problems he’s got perfectly fast enough Wi-Fi it’s always of course better to use a wired LAN. This laptop is truly amazing as I got the wrong with Nvidia for 16 gb ram with a extra 16 just order Actually, it doesn’t even need it by my temperatures are so cool with the streaks. Hi, I have ROG STRIX G513IC (2021) with Ryzen 4800H+RTX3050. It came with MT7921 Wifi card which is terrible. I have another Intel Thinkpad laptop with Intel AX201 card in it and it's great. Can I swap the WiFi cards? Will the AX201 work on my ROG which has Ryzen?
@@eastcoastdrones4517 awesome thanks for letting me know, the AX210 seems to be more cheaper than the other one so that’s why I wondered if that one would be worth the upgrade instead of the other one
We have the same laptop, however will it stack the memory(RAM) as on my end there is one available slot. For example: I have 8gb memory installed and the other slot is free. Can I add 16gb with the same RAM specs(DDR4) and will it stack? Hope you can help me. Thanks
I'd like to install 2 ssd's each a with 2TB capacity. I noticed you put a 1TB in the slot over the wifi card. Is that because that slot won't take double sided (chipped) ssd's whereas the other blank slot does? Also what does the "advantage" model have over the normal version,
@@themaster5842 I haven't had time recently as it's very time consuming checking model number for what appears to be the same laptop but isn't. You'd think the user manuals would be the best place to look but they've started printing (or at least PDF'ing) generic pdf's not necessarily specific to that model. I'm surprised how few videos there are on this topic. There's a fair few on upgrading the ssd but hardly any mention the double sided (4TB) issue and whether it will take one or is it solely single sided. The search goes on.
Great video, thanks for that, quick questions: how is the battery doing in this laptop and Linux? How much are you getting out of the battery with Linux, in regular use and/or some GPU demanding tasks? Which distro/kernel? Also what worked and what didn't after installing Linux? Appreciate your time.
Is the recommended WIFI card for Windows (Intel killer edition AX1675) The only one I managed to find is this model (Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX1675x Tri Band AX210 M.2) Applicable for this laptop model? ASUS ROG Strix G17 (G713Q)
They did this to ours too. I ended up getting it off and it did strip the head a bit but since you don't really need to torque it down much at all, I was still able to use it. But yea, it was definitely a pain in the ass to unscrew
i was checking the product page on the asus website for G513QY (g15 advantage) it says 32gb Ram is the maximum supported. How come your installing 2 x 32GB sticks ?(I have the same machine, just really stuck as to if it suppports 64GB since im thinking of upgrading it) 😬
Hello and thank you for the question. So that was exactly the reason why, I wanted to test that 32GB limit and sure enough you can 100% install 64GB in this system. The specs also say that you can only have 1TB of SSD max.. well I installed 2x2TB with no issue, only thing I would recommend on the SSD is to get a very thin heat sink to help with managing the heat the 2 SSD can generate. Hope this helps you make your decision, good luck with your upgrade and if you can, please drop me a line and let me know how it went :)
I've upgraded the ram in mine , the WIFI card and also added another SSD to the spare slot. I'd like to upgrade the SSD with the OS on it next. what's the best way to move the OS to the new SSD ?

Would PCIe NVMe Gen 5 memory be backwards compatible with this model of computer as well? Again taking into consideration the limitation of the computer being that t won't take advantage of th higher speeds.
Hello, technically speaking a Gen5 NVMe drive should be able to fit in that slot but as you mentioned this laptop is a Gen 3 and you would be losing on a whole lot of performance. The other thing to consider is the heat sink on most of the Gen 5 may be too large to fit in this case although there is some space so it would depend on the specific drive you purchase. If you end up trying it please let me know how it went. Thank you for watching!
I purchased the same laptop, unfortunately I took the ribbon cables out, so When I realised I could not get them back in I taped the cables down so they wouldn't get damaged, took it to an ASUS authorised repairer where the technician took it outback for a look, he then informed me he didn't have the clips for the cable and for me to take it back to the store for a DOA, the store opened it up and found the ribbon cables were bent and twisted and refused to do anything, I contacted Asus, they sent me back to the authorised repairer with a RMA ,the Asus repairer had someone else look at it and then quoted me $1800.00 for a new motherboard. The first tech was so rough with it that he damaged the cables when he took the back off, realising this he sent me to get a DOA. Apparently because I took the back off first Asus say the warranty is void so even though the approved Asus repairer damaged my laptop they are able to refuse to take responsibility basically telling me it's all my responsibility cos I took the back off first, I had been so careful making sure the Ribbon cables wouldn't get damaged. 2 trips back and forth nearly 800 kilometres, I'm now waiting for Asus to see what can be done if anything.
Oh man, sorry to hear about this, very unfortunate indeed. I have to say that Asus makes great products but their customer service is not the best. They should be dealing directly with the authorized repair center on your behalf and insuring for the proper repair of your laptop and not giving you the run around. Sorry you have to go through this and I hope Asus would do right by you.
@@SolDoesTech Hi, what I can't understand is I take the laptop in to get the 2 rgb cables reconnected and somehow I need a new motherboard at 1800 dollars, it makes no sense, cheers.

No, I did put 4tb in one slot and 1 tb in another slot. Mine had 3 slots. I wanted to know if there would be a problem if there would be a problem putting ssd on all 3 slots.
This laptop will be arriving today and I was wondering if the Wifi upgrade is really worth it if I stay in windows and what makes the difference from the stock one? TIA
Congratulations on your purchase! Asus claims a bios update can help with the WiFi issues. Tbh, if you play games online save yourself the trouble and invest in an Intel AX1675x. Thanks for watching!
Hello and thank you for the comment. The 3 different color came with my laptop, i think the red is because its an AMD gpu and the only reason i say that is because I seen green ones that appear to come with the nvidia version
hi, im using strix g17 (g713qr) 2021 and wanna add the new ssd on empty slot. is there any reason why you used 970 evo, rather 980 pro?. and can we move the system to the new sdd whithout need reinstal it?
Hello and thank you for the question. The reason I decide to go with the 970 evo is that this laptop supports gen 3 pcie, the 980 pro is gen 4 and would work as its backwards compatible but I wont get the full benefits of gen 4 speeds so no need to spend the extra money. As far as migrating to a new hard drive, you're in luck as I made a video showing that process :) you can find it here ua-cam.com/video/VoWoIiLSmMs/v-deo.html thank you for watching!
Tbh go with the faster drive, they are just as cheap, and you'll benefit from newer tech, better controllers, faster random read/write and access speeds as well as better longevity its just it wont run at its full speeds but it will run as fast as your computers full speed. I used WB black SN770's 2TB which are gen4 5500Mb/s as they are £5 more than the cheapest Gen 3 drives that I could find which was also an WD blue 570 gen3 3500Mb/s
Hello, thank you for the comment. The AX210 card is WiFi 6E and the original card is WiFi 6. 6E is a bit faster and has better latency but it does require a router that supports this standard. The main reason for switching the card was not about speed but mainly for reliability as the original WiFi card had shown to have poor connectivity. So if we are changing the card might as well take a small upgrade while we at it :) Thank you for watching!
Thank you for the explanation., I have a problem when I upgraded some RGP wires in which a seam occurred and after the upgrade I turned on the device and the keyboard no longer works nor the RGP lighting I can no longer use the mode with the fan, is there a way to use the fan without a keyboard?
Hello, thank you for the comment. Sorry to hear that you damaged your laptop during the upgrade process :( as far as your question, i assume you're in Windows so to change the fan profile you would need to use the Asus armory crate software. That software comes pre-installed on your computer but just in case, here is a link to the asus page where you can find details about it and download it if its missing rog.asus.com/us/armoury-crate/ thank you for watching!
in that video where you benchmarked the memory, the stock memory isnt xmp style. the benchmark said possible reason for low score, but its not xmp style memory
The topic of the RAM performance has come up in a few comments. I will be making a video soon with more benchmarks results. Please subscribe for updates and thank you for watching.
A few days ago I noticed that if I adjust the brightness with fn + f7/f8 or from the toolbar the brightness does not change. But if I lower the screen to a certain angle, the brightness works normally. I didn't find anything on the internet. Does anyone know what to do? I have the asus striz g15
I have not done any actual benchmarks so i dont have data to support this claim but overall, switching to a lower CL and to dual rank would have a positive impact on performance.
Assuming you have 8gb currently, I don.t believe 24gb sticks exist so you would need to buy 2 new 16gb sticks. Even If 24gb sticks existed I wouldnt recommend it since you wouldnt be utilizing dual channel.
Hello, Thank you for the comment. That is a good question and I think someone in this comment section had a great answer, they theorized that it was to push people to buy the scar version of the laptop. It is also possible that Asus is only selling a specific set of config build that they QA against and that is why they only officially support that limited capacity of upgraded components. Thank you for watching!
I want to ask if when changing the wifi card you have to download the driver first and then install it, or will it be installed automatically when booting?
Hello, that is a great question! When I originally installed the card Windows was able to discover and install the driver on its own. But after some cumulative update to Windows 11 my wifi card stopped working. I had to go to the intel site and get the official driver package and install to fix it. That is why I recommend to download the driver package from intel and have it ready and it may not be a bad idea to just install it even if windows was able to discover the device on its own.. you can get it here www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19351/windows-10-and-windows-11-wi-fi-drivers-for-intel-wireless-adapters.html
When installing the new ssd did you have to format it and assign it a drive letter? Or did it automatically assign one a work good with no extra steps?
Hi there. Where can I find information about suggested brands of RAM for my strix g16? Also, the manufacturer specifies max 32gb, but I’m wondering if 64gb would also work like your case.
Hello, I personally have used both Kingston and G.Skill in my builds. Both have these brands have worked great for me. Just make sure to look at the specs, you want to shoot for the highest clock speed supported by your laptop cpu with the lowest CL. As far as the 32GB limit.. on my G15 strix I was able to show that 64GB works with no issue. I assume the same is true for the G16 but since I dont have access to that hardware I cant be 100% sure, also its possible that you may not have dual SODIMM slots so you may want to confirm that first as some models have one of the ram modules soldered to the MB. Best of luck with your upgrade and if you do go 64Gb please come back here and let us know how it went. Thank you for watching!
Both the AX210 and the AX1675 would work just fine on Windows. In fact, they both work fine in Linux as well. The reason I recommended the AX210 for Linux over the AX1675 is that the driver for the AX1675 card in Linux would just be generic and would not take full advantage of the "Intel Killer Wireless" functionality. So it's kind of a waste to buy a card that is a bit more expensive but not be able to use all of its functions. You can read about it a bit more here: www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000088040/wireless.html. Thank you for the comment and thank you for watching!

Hello, the laptop in my video is the advantage Edition so it has an AMD CPU and an AMD GPU. To be specific, it has the Radeon RX6800M. Depending on the model of your laptop you may not be able to do the exact same upgrades in my video since some of the Asus laptops may not have the 2nd SSD slot and/or may not have 2xSODIMM slots. Best of luck with your upgrade and thanks for watching!
Agreed, the only thing I can come up is that non of the AMD G15 Strix on the ASUS site come with anything more than 1TB so maybe that is what Asus meant..
Good day, Sol Does Tech! Very very informative and nice video you have here. Perhaps you have an info if my Strix G531GT-HN592T laptop has a second SSD port for upgrade? I am not confident to remove the screws on my own. Wondering also if my laptop can also take on 64GB RAM. Is this unit the same as yours? Hope you can notice the comment. Thank you!
Hello and thank you for the question. I am not too familiar with that model it is not the same as what I have but from what I can tell this model may not have a 2nd SSD slot and I am not 100% sure if it would take the 64GB of RAM (also it has to be DDR4 2666 and not 3200). Asus says 32GB max on their site but Asus also said 32GB max for my laptop model and I am able to run 64GB. But... since the model you have is not the same as the one I have I can't answer that 100%. Sorry I couldn't provide more help, thank you for watching my video.
Hello! I was just wondering, did you have any reasons in particular, for changing these components? Were you experiencing issues with the original ones?
Hello and thank you for the comment! So that is a very good question indeed. There were 2 main reasons, one was the need and the other was the experiment. The RAM upgrade need was due to my day job, I run lots of VMs so I need as much RAM as I can get, the experiment for the RAM was to see if I can go past the 32GB that ASUS said is the limit. The SSD need was for my VMs and games :) the laptop only came with 512GB, the ssd experiment was to see if the laptop would take the a 2TB when asus claims only 1TB is supported. The wifi.. well the one that it came with was just bad, so it had to be swapped. If you are interested you can take a look at my video here showing the improved in FPS after the RAM swap ua-cam.com/video/8nXC5qSA2qk/v-deo.html thank you for watching!
Hello, the laptop featured in this video is the 2021 model which has a Ryzen 9 5980HX, that CPU supports DDR4 up to 3200MHz. When attempting to purchase RAM it's always a good practice to lookup the CPU specs which would tell you what type of RAM it can handle. So in this case here are the specs for the CPU in my laptop (scroll to the "connectivity" section): www.amd.com/en/products/apu/amd-ryzen-9-5980hx. Thank you for the question and thank you for watching!
I am waiting for the new Asusu with RTX 3080 Gpu, however, is this model user-upgradeable? I saw on Asusu's official website the procedure to upgrade SSD and RAM. I mean, i don't want to lose the warranty on the brand-new laptop.
That is an excellent question! You should always follow the manufacture guidelines if you want to make sure to keep your warranty intact. On most laptops the act of opening the case would not void the warranty, there are some components that once removed or tampered with that would void the warranty. These components are usually the main board or the heatsink or sometimes both and the screws are usually covered with a temper sticker. All of the upgrades I shown in this video would not void the warranty, the only thing to be careful with are the lightbar ribbons when opening the case.
I did not install any on mine as there are vent holes right where the SSDs are. looking at the case I guess a slim ssd heatsink could fit. I may give that a try but to answer your question, a heatsink is not required.
Watched your review and it helped me a lot, i have one question about the wifi card. Will the ax210 intel model works with an amd ryzen 7 4800 running on win11?
Hello and thank you for the comment! Glad that you found the video helpful :) The wifi car would work with that CPU and OS version. One thing to keep in mind is that some users reported that an update from windows could cause the drivers to get a bit wonky so you should use the official Intel drivers, you can get them here www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/204836/intel-wifi-6e-ax210-gig/downloads.html Thank you for watching!

My 64gb RAM just arrived..wish me luck 😬😬
Update: Installed and confirmed working. I think my touchpad may have moved about 0.5mm no issue. because my laptop did slide when using guitar pick to remove cover, so make sure its completly stable.

There is nothing appearing on the screen but the lights on the keyboard is ON. How do I fix this?
@@SolDoesTech Interesting! Didn't know that. Do you think XMP 2.0 is better than default? CL17 @2933MHz vs CL20@3200MHz?
@@Nikker468 Hello, the default profile would usually be the most optimized option which is unfortunately the only option we have on this laptop :) but to answer your question, if I did my math right, the CL17 would have a lower CAS then the CL20 so technically that profile could run a bit faster.
Intel XMP (DDR3, 4 and 5) has been supported by AMD’s processors and motherboards for a long time, memory with AMD EXPO (DDR5) should provide better optimization for AMD processors. Also, AMD EXPO profiles can theoretically be used by Intel platforms, too...this laptop doesn't support DDR5 but we can get DDR4 with XMP.

hello sir, question about the memory, advantage edition dont have XMP option on bios, will the ram run on full capacitie?
I'd like to install 2 ssd's each a with 2TB capacity. I noticed you put a 1TB in the slot over the wifi card. Is that because that slot won't take double sided (chipped) ssd's whereas the other blank slot does?
Also what does the "advantage" model have over the normal version,
Did you ever find this one out? I’m wanting to do the same
@@themaster5842 I haven't had time recently as it's very time consuming checking model number for what appears to be the same laptop but isn't.
Manufacturers screwed my second ssd slot down way too tight so I can’t even fucking upgrade without stripping the screw
They did this to ours too. I ended up getting it off and it did strip the head a bit but since you don't really need to torque it down much at all, I was still able to use it. But yea, it was definitely a pain in the ass to unscrew
I had to use pliars to remove mine and I swapped out the screw that came with my ssd
i was checking the product page on the asus website for G513QY (g15 advantage) it says 32gb Ram is the maximum supported.
Hi, Great video, Am I able to use the EVO 990 1TB rather than EVO 970 Plus? I have a ROG Stix G15.

Hello and thank you for the question. The reason I decide to go with the 970 evo is that this laptop supports gen 3 pcie, the 980 pro is gen 4 and would work as its backwards compatible but I wont get the full benefits of gen 4 speeds so no need to spend the extra money. How much of a difference does the new Wifi card makes in terms of internet speed? Thanks for the video

Why would Asus recommend that the laptop is limited to lower upgrades?
Hello, Thank you for the comment. That is a good question and I think someone in this comment section had a great answer, they theorized that it was to push people to buy the scar version of the laptop.

Why choose Intel AX210 for linux, AX1675 for windows? Can i go with AX210 for windows?

@@SolDoesTech I calmed down that I took 2 tb ssd.But the Ram is only 2x16, now I will re-order for 2x32.TNX 👋
Does anyone know if i would i be able to use DDR5 4800mhz ram in this laptop?
Also, do you need some heatsink to put it on SSD?
@@SolDoesTech Thank you for your reply, I canceled my order, waiting for the new models with RTX 4000 to come out.
I think it is better to wait just a little longer, considering that the new RTX 4000 supports dlss3.
@@SolDoesTech yes, I've also heard about that matter, again thank you for the info and link. This is a big help for upgrading my laptop.
Hi Sol, thanks for the informative video. Both M.2 slots in this machine is only Gen3 SSD right? I am planning to upgrade the storage, and there's a great deal on the 980 pro at my local shop right now, but I'm not sure if it would take full advantage of the Gen4 speeds. TY!
Hello and thank you for the question. In this specific model yes it was Gen3 so you are correct that you can put Gen4 in there but it wont take full advantage of the Gen4 speeds.
Do you know if it will support two 2TB ssd’s?
still confused which wifi card u upgraded to coz wifi 6 has been already installed at time of you making a video
also a thing I would like to say to all asug rog strix users before u upgrade ur ram or SSD please make sure you disconnect your battery, a single screw spilled can cause a short circuit to motherboard & happened to lot people including me which will cost you really a lot to replace or getting it repaired, doesn't matter how accurate you are when doing it.
How do you disconnect the battery? Is it enough to drain the battery before opening it?
How do I disconnect the battery on this laptop?
@@XtopherBryson u just need to disconnect the battery from the switch just push the metallic strip upward and push out the battery connection from the switch on motherboard, no you don’t need to drain the battery , disconnection is quite enough , also make sure your laptop isn’t connected to power source directly
@@edssszy just push the metallic strip on battery plug upward and pluck up the battery switch connection u , can watch video on UA-cam how to do it easily
@@Vishal.Singh. got it man. I actually did the upgrade today and unplugged the battery before doing anything else.
Is my rog strix g15 ae with wifi 6 upgradable to 6e?
Hello, thank you for the question. You should be able to upgrade the wifi card but its important to know that the router would need to support that higher standard in order fir you to achieve higher speeds. Thanks for watching!
I got this exact laptop with the 5900 and 6800m but it seems to BSOD quite often when going to sleep or waking up. Any troubleshooting tips? I have an external HDD connected via USB C that i thought was maybe the problem but it still will happen when it’s disconnected sometimes. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. Great video!
To troubleshoot BSOD you need to dive into the logs in event viewer and see if you can identify the driver or device causing the problem. to completely get rid of BSOD you can always consider installing linux ;) ua-cam.com/video/nbDpnot7sR0/v-deo.html thank you for watching!
the 2021 strix series had an issue with the mediatek network card messing p sleep, especially if you installed multiantennaservice from myasus. try uninstalling that and see if it helps
Cl 19 64 gb will work?
Is it possible to increase the TDP of the rtx GPU 3080?
This isn’t an answer to your question just correcting you. The gpu is a radeon 6800m which is equivalent to that of a 3080.
@@Cheeeeetahthere is a model with the rtx 3080
Hey I have the scar edition can these components be upgraded on that version?
Hello, thank you for the question. I do not own the Scar version but from what others have posted and what I can gather online the answer is mostly a yes. You would want to verify your current specs before purchasing anything just to make sure your buying compatible parts but the actual upgrade process would be very similar to what I have shown in the video. If you do execute please come back and share the experience, I would like to hear how it went. Thank you for watching!
@@SolDoesTech yea I order the same stuff I’ll let u know when the put them in 👍

WHICH SERIES IS THE ROG STRIX G15 LAPTOP???

Is it necessary to remove the battery cable? thank you
Hello and thank you for the question. Asus recommends that the battery cable should be unplugged before doing any work inside the case for safety reasons. I would recommend to follow these best practices so you don't damage your hardware and/or void your warranty. Great question and thank you for watching!
