  • The growth of a baby bearded dragon is very important when you are buying a dragon. Here is my take on why some dragons don't grow as well as others.

Anyone can overfeed and get a big, fat dragon :) You want a dragon that is a naturally strong and solid animal.

When i have 2mos old babies at 20g and others have the same age at 50g, I've always thought "dang they wanna get rid of babies fast!"

Yea that's definitely a possibility, but just like I showed, same clutch siblings will even be drastic in comparison. Just have to see what the rest of the clutch looks like.

@@qbstailsnscales I haven't had that personally yet, but it's good to know it happens and it might not always be over feeding

I have a male around 7 months (130grams) and a female 9 months (250grams) (15inches lenght). When they see eachother the male immediately puffs and darkens his beard and starts head bopping. The female starts to wave after a couple of minutes aswell. They live in separate vivariums and the female digs and glass surfs alot. When should I let them mate? They both seem really interested to do so. Thanks.

they are not "interested" in meeting, it is in their nature. The behavior you're observing is actually dominance and submission. The glass surfing and digging could be a sign of the female being stressed by the males behaviors and trying to get away. I would put the vivs in a way that they can't see each other.

@@qbstailsnscales the vivariums are on top of eachother, so they cant see eachother. When should the female be ready to mate because I don’t want her to be too young.

@@justinmicallef895 there are no reflections in the room that could allow them to see each other?
