    How does it sound so different from the Japanese inline 4s?

    • @myaussiegarage3374
      @myaussiegarage3374 23 дні тому

      Some people say it's due to the hemispherical pistons and valves, but I think the sound difference comes from the exhaust - the same way a Dodge Charger sounds different to a Dodge Ram, even though they have the same engine.

    Did you have to flash the bike for the exhaust? I’m looking at getting an F4 750 and this a must do mod for me, but these exhaust’s seem to be very hard, if not impossible to track down here in the USA. Do you know where I would have better luck finding one?

    • @myaussiegarage3374
      @myaussiegarage3374 2 місяці тому

      @RA109E the eprom chip should be swapped out for the arrow one. If you can't get a chip, then get a fuel controller instead. The power difference is nominal, but the sound is just so much better. Because the 750s were made by cagiva, parts are almost impossible to get for these early models. Mine has been grounded for over a year due to a disintergrated upper chain guard, I just can't get one.

      @@myaussiegarage3374 if you get the EPROM chip do you have to solder it into the ECU of the bike? And if I went the way of a fuel controller would something like a dyno jet power commander work?

    • @myaussiegarage3374
      @myaussiegarage3374 2 місяці тому

      @RA109E no soldering required, the chip just pulls out and the new one goes in. I experience with the power commander unit on my 939 Hypermotard and while it was tedious to install, it was the only option for the SC Project exhaust. It is far easier to swap out the EPROM chip to get the same response.

      That's correct, these Thule ones are so easy to remove/install with the torque key provided. But I suspect my wife looks for her roofracks at the shopping centre to find her car so it is annoying her.

      @Kopano.Tlali69 It has something to do with Toyota's Atkinson cycle motor, which is economical but has no low down torque. It's only good coupled with the electric motor to help with take off and exceleration.

      I'm using a free version of "Car Scanner" app and I can't see that as an option, although I havn't gone over the service intervals for oil yet. There is a Pro version of the app but but not sure if this will change the oil service. 🤔 Plus, there are several apps that are compatible with this reader too. Forgot to mention, Ducati uses the same diagnostic language as Fiat.

    • @myaussiegarage3374
      @myaussiegarage3374 2 роки тому

      Hi Troy. First thing, which year model is your CT110? Earlier models ran on a 6V battery/circuit so my first thought is that you have a 12V battery in a system designed for 6V. If that is all fine, check the electrical voltage output of the generator to make sure it matches your circuit.

    • @myaussiegarage3374
      @myaussiegarage3374 2 роки тому

      Use a multimeter to check for voltage spikes at the light bulb. If you have the correct voltage then it just must be the bulbs.

    Thanks for the review - I’m looking to get an IGE (the drop in version of this). How well do they sear steaks? I’m wondering if I also need a charcoal grill as the hot plate won’t get super hot and it’s for cooking everything else. Thoughts? Would you get 850 again or 1150/700? Would you go 10mm again? Cheers!

    • @myaussiegarage3374
      @myaussiegarage3374 2 роки тому

      Hi BFCOT. Soz for the delayed response. Stainless is not the best conductor of heat, while the hotplate is certainly hot enough to cook a steak, I prefer to use the grill for steaks and ribs to get a bit of flame on them. The 10mm is overkill, so if I had the time around I would have just gone with the standard 5mm. 850 is big enough for my family of four and for entertaining a few friends as well.
