"I got a name, I got a name...and I carry it with me like my daddy did".....I miss you, dad.
For my Daddy. Suicide sucks. Don't do it. It only hurts the people you leave behind.

51 Years On Never Forgotten RIP Jim & Maury 😢😢
Beautiful! ❤
RIP Jim and Maury... A great song
I love him! One of the best songs ever ❤️
the song makes me happy. reminds me of the good times and the good times to come
how old are you?
Amen brother
How can you NOT like this video or song..? It's beautiful..
i say who ever dislikes this should have his thumb cut off.....
I think this song was inspiration for me when I was younger to break the confines of my family and get out there. It was a way to say "just do it, they'll be proud eventually" and here it is some 20 years later and they are :)
I can't say that I dedicate this song to my dad because he didn't want to know about me. I am Brazilian but I love the USA, I love the culture, the laws and the freedom that America offers to its citizens. One day who knows, I will realize my dream, which is to know the USA. While that day is not enough, I am content with the American country songs.
All his songs talk about his spirit, his soul.............simply beautiful!
R.I.P you beautiful man! His music is one of my dad's favorites. One Xmas some of my family and I listened to one of his albums while playing cards after presents. It was awesome
Oh such a beautiful song
Love this song :)
I didn't know it was in the movie... we started listening to Jim in high school, 1998 or so. This song always felt like he was expressing kind of a subtle personal pride. Beautiful,
"Like a fool I am and I'll always be, I got a dream"
Wish the man was here today to carry on the best folk, classic rock, easy goin tunes. Great photo with the family, and the guitar..........killer.
Jim and Harry
Best story tellers ever.
RIP
Timeless.

You can change your mind but you can't change me

Who needs to be a 100 when you can get it done in 30. Rip Jim, You'll always be loved and remembered. Thank You!

I just came to realize Jim Croce would be 76 were he still alive. He'll always be 30 in my mind.
beautiful

Such a good song.
"On Thursday, September 20, 1973, the day that his ABC single "I Got a Name" was released, Croce, Muehleisen, and four others were killed in the crash of a chartered Beechcraft E18S upon takeoff from the Natchitoches Regional Airport in Natchitoches, Louisiana"
This song is his last, and its intrinsically more beautiful for it I think.
The bass player was a former Motown session bassist named Bob Babbit, recently deceased. A fine player.
Incredible playing, and tone. Jeez. Thank you
I'm glad to hear this song..thank you DAD!!!!!
one of the first artists i loved! i remember being 8 years old and listening to this going to school in the morning all the time :)
懐かしい気持ちと、アコースティックギターを練習していた、あの頃の自分を思い出します!
Well said
Still as breathtaking today as it was all those years ago
one of my favourite Jim Croce tunes ever !!!!!!!
Great jim croce.wonderful song .
I'm almost 26 and his music touches me so many of his songs are poetic
My Theme Song!! Moving me down the highway! Love ya Jim!
I Thank the dear Lord for giving you to us for as long as he could!
Such a beautiful song and great guitar by Maury. Play on, guys.
This was the theme song from the film "Last American Hero" based on the life of Junior Johnson. They may have chosen Croce based on the fact that a lot of NASCAR fans thought the earlier hit "Rapid Roy that Stock Car Boy" was talking about Junior. Whatever the reason this song captures the pride Southerners feel about their family name. Great Song by a Great Artist about a Great Driver.
Great artist taken from us too soon. Love Time in a Bottle which is my favourite
Yes gone too soon
One of his best
... invincible, title track... wonderful... the film, the music...
incroyable !! magnifique JIM merci à toi pour toutes ces chansons extraordinaires !!!

This song makes me feel like there's nothing i can't do.

One does not know music until one knows Jim Croce. Rest in Peace, Jim.
I'm only 12 and he has amazing music I started listening to him because my dad had an old tape in his 1968 camera
Hey man welcome to adulthood.

Great song. The "A PROXIMA VITIMA" brazilian's novel fantastic novel. Miss...
When the movie “Invincible” came out in August 2006 my friend was sitting next to me in the theatre and his first words when the movie just started was “I hope I like this movie...”
This song begins and he whispers again “I like it his movie..”
I remember living in very small town in kansas called Iola when we lost him but not his wonderfull songs that never dies and i was born in Iran
On Thursday, September 20, 1973, the day that his ABC single "I Got a Name" was released, Croce, Muehleisen, and four others were killed in the crash of a chartered Beechcraft E18S upon takeoff from the Natchitoches Regional Airport in Natchitoches, Louisiana. It can't get any sadder! He didn't even live up to see how famous would become his song, his name and his dream!
My dad loved him
懐かしい!
ありがとう!
That bass is getting it
I like this song very much!

This song reminds me of all the blue collar men with a dream and a family good on you jim,you are a true musical soul.
simplesmente maravilhoso...
beautiful human. this song is the foundation for interstate lovesong by stp.
If your going my way, ill go with you
No commends,just this
gran cancion Jim eres grande tus canciones son muy importantes en mi vida
I listened to this song so much as a kid but I completely forgot about it until I saw Django too
Thank You Django Unchained and Quentin Tarantino, for reminding me of a song I had forgotten which my Papi and I used to enjoy.
Tarantino is overrated, and he's just a plagiarizer.
de lo mejor de la django es esta cancion me trajo grandes recuerdos
I have no idea who played bass on this song, but I can tell by his riffs that he's killed at least 4 people in his life. He's one baaad dude.
If I'm not mistaken it's Bob Babbitt
Holy shit this comment needs to be preserved for millennia.
John Smith I didn't know that he died the same day this single was released. IMHO if he had lived he would have become a legend.
Tbh this song makes me feel down so much. Lost a lot of people through death. But the biggest problem for me is finding love again.
I love this song! It’s really an inspiring song and it’s quite fitting for Django Unchained, a retelling of Wagner’s “Der Ring”
I was thinking that, too
Total geiles Lied:d
so fica na saudade
thanks mom thanks dad for everything.
Master Pogi:D
Instead of sleeping does anyone else like to stay up, listen to this on repeat and cry?
Me too.
Yes call me crazy, and yes I cry like a man and proud of it! ll
Django Unchained anyone?
Invincible
hellyeah
i came here tryin' to remember where i heard it .. thanks
Uh no, been a favorite of mine since my high school years in the 70s. Another tune ruined by being in an insipid Tarantino movie
Brian Bois Gilbert
Mr. Tarantino movies need all the help possible, hence, great soundtracks go a long way.
AJ just played Austin again.
