- The most popular and famous hike in all of Banff National Park is definitely not the most difficult. Tunnel Mountain is the main feature of Banff, Alberta and the town was built around it. On this video I show you some of the views you can expect at the summit and talk a little bit about the vast history of this trail.
Tunnel Mountain (also known as Sleeping Buffalo, Iinii Istako, Eyarhey Tatanga Woweyahgey Wakân), is a mountain located in the Bow River Valley of Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada at the junction of the Spray River with the Bow and overlooking the Hot Springs on Sulphur Mountain. The mountain is nearly completely encircled by the town of Banff and the Banff Springs Hotel grounds. For many Indigenous people, the Buffalo is not sleeping anymore since Banff National Park reintroduced wild bison in 2017.

Hi Eric, is there a kind of a list of your videos where we can see brief descriptions of the trails you filmed? I mean the info like trail difficulties, length, duration etc...
That’s a good idea, I have a video list but not by trail info. You’ll find playlists of the hikes by the general areas which helps a bit. What you’re looking for can be done using the AllTrails app, then maybe find videos to the potential hikes you want to partake.
Carried my 4 year old on my shoulders up AND down that damn mountain 😂😂
