I was 23 when this came out. It was the jams in the club. It was her last video. She died returning home on the plane from that island. Overloaded luggage and drunk pilot.
Ayyyee! Aaliyah's back🔥 She was killed on her flight from the Bahamas back to The States from shooting this video. Her final days/hours & how the director made the entire video are on YT (you should react to it) The scenes when she was dancing on water & swimming were shot in Miami The scenes when she is in all white & on the beach were in the Bahamas. She finished shooting a day early so she decided to head out...😔 the scenes in the all white were her last hours of her life. FUN FACT: The song almost didn't happen! The producer, Eric Seats, was playing around on his equipment and was gonna delete it until her writer, Static Major, from the R&B group Playa, heard it and wrote the hook. RIP Aaliyah, Eric Foreman (Hair), Anthony Dodd(hair), Chis Maldonado(makeup), Keith Wallace(family friend), Douglas Kratz(Virgin Rec), Gina Smith(Blackground Rec), Luis Morales(Pilot), Scott Galin(security)
Great reaction…. I’ll never forget the day that she unfortunately passed… scarred for life… 😢the world was at full attention when this video premiered. 😢
At the end of the video 📹 were Aaliyah is in the water 💧 that water scene was shot in Miami she was actually in a pool and she was having trouble breathing underneath the water 💧
Aaliyah wanted her last album AALIYAH to reflect her stepping into womanhood....hence the risqué lyrics in Rock The Boat and the sassiness in More Than A Woman.
Yes this was Aaliyah last video 📹 the next day her and her crew all died 💔😢😔 in a plane🛩 crash in the Bahamas 🇧🇸 back in August 25th 2001 on a Saturday afternoon i found out about her passing the next morning 🌄 on a Sunday my mom 👩 came in my room when i was asleep 😴 she woke me up and told me the bad news about Aaliyah i will never forget that i was so shocked 😲 i just couldn't believe what my mom was telling me so i remember jumping out of bed and turning on the TV and watching Aaliyah on mtv and after her interview and their it was the date she was born in 1979 and the year she died witch is August 25th and she was layed to rest on August 31st on a Friday afternoon in Brooklyn New York where she was born but her and her brother Rashad both grew up in Detroit Michigan Aaliyah would've been 45 years old her birthday is January 15th she was 22 years old when she died 💔😢 this year in August it will be 23 years sense Aaliyahs death and rest in peace to Aaliyahs dad Michael who died in 2012 and he is buried next to Aaliyah they were very close Aaliyah was a very beautiful woman with a beautiful singing voice and an amazing actress i miss her so much she will always be the queen 👸 of R&B period rest in peace Aaliyah aka baby girl and rest in peace Michael Haughton 💙 gone but you two will never be forgotten 😇💔😢😥🙏
The even sadder part is she actually died the same day after they filmed the boat scene which was the last filming for the video they all decided to go home a day early and the plane crashed shortly after takeoff 😢

🔥 reaction my guy. Yeah bro aaliyah was fine. I mean with all due respect shes more then a pretty face, shes definitely talented dance, sing, etc. but son she was gorgeous, it should be a sin to be that beautiful 😅😩
What’s even more tragic about this is that Aaliyah was terrified of flying on airplanes. They had to give her sedatives before she took that fateful flight. From what was reported she had a heart attack and severe head trauma and died before the plane even crashed.
Just to give you a back story this was her last music video and she died in a plane crash leaving from the set. That in itself is another story 😂. But Aaliyah was just that girl.

Wow, it’s crazy how sudden things can happen. And yess!! I can imagine it’d be going crazy in the clubs

Great reaction…. I’ll never forget the day that she unfortunately passed… scarred for life… 😢the world was at full attention when this video premiered. 😢
Thank you I appreciate it! And I can imagine, so much character and talent

Wow I didn’t know that. They were beautiful scenes, but damn that sucks she was struggling during it
She ate
Indeed :)
Aaliyah wanted her last album AALIYAH to reflect her stepping into womanhood....hence the risqué lyrics in Rock The Boat and the sassiness in More Than A Woman.
Oh wow yess that makes a lot of sense, could definitely see it!
The Queen 🩵🔆✨️🌊🎼🛥⛵️💙🪽
Always good to see ya my boy 🙌
Aye my guy I appreciate that. I appreciate the support 🤝
What caused the terrible plane crash was overloading and the pilot jose Morales had cocaine and alcohol 🍸 in his system
It’s crazy how sudden and random these type of things happen. So unfortunate
This song still hurts my heart cause she passed while leaving the video shoot in the Bahamas.
I've always loved this song!
Great reaction 🔥
Thank you bro! I appreciate that 🤝

Thank you for the information. I’m so glad that her and her dad were able to be buried next to each other. Rest in peace to them, beautiful souls
It was actually the same day. She literally died the exact same day as the scenes of them dancing on the boat in white
The even sadder part is she actually died the same day after they filmed the boat scene which was the last filming for the video they all decided to go home a day early and the plane crashed shortly after takeoff 😢
React to If Your Girl Only Knew by Aaliyah...please and thank you.

You should definitely react to Janet Jackson. Aaliyah and Janet were big fans of each other
