I have the 2019 400NK, a naked bike that can do 200kph. 400cc, 2 cylinders, 41HP, 30NM, 206kgs, 6-speed transmission...utilitarian, useful, simple, effective for what they are and very affordable. I bought mine for 209,000 PH Pesos. I have over 10,000kms on my bike already and I have not experienced any problem whatsoever with it since 2020. My bike has stainless steel-braided brake lines, something that even the popular Japanese bikes don't have from factory.
    Here are my nitpickers.
    1. No ECU flash available in mainstream ECU Tuning Softwares like Woolich
    2. Very little performance aftermarket parts available (bespoke) for my bike
    3. Forks are non-adjustable but I am lucky that they are spec'd to my weight
    4. It's heavy, power-to-weight ratio is not that desirable
Yet, the positives outweighs the negatives. My bike is very affordable. You can never find a similar bike in the same price range. The build quality is commendable. The bike looks good and feels good. The suspension geometry is actually really nice. The bike handles corners like a sportsbike. With better tires, it will be faster in corners even though is it heavy and has low HP. The components are very well above the average. The JJuan Brake system is amazing specially with upgraded sintered brake pads. The throttle response is not that bad but most riders who removed the factory catalytic converter reported throttle delays in the lower rpm, which is expected anyway.
Overall, the CFMoto 400NK I have is great value for money. I definitely got more than what I have paid for. I believe the low price of the CFMoto bikes is mainly because of the low mark-up on R&D cost since CFMoto adopted old technology from other companies. The NK series of bikes have been linked to the ER series of Kawasaki bigbikes. Now that CFMoto is with KTM, most of the KTM tech will be adopted to the new CFMoto bikes like the 800MT or the IBEX 800, the 800NK and even the CLX series were noted to have been inspired by retro technologies from other companies.

I bought a CLX Sport about a week ago (it's my 10th bike in 20 plus years) and its every bit as good as any other bike that I have owned. Some of its quirks remind me of the Ducati that I used to own but compared to the Duc, I bought my CFMOTO for $5,990 (year end sale in the US) vs $14,000 for the Duc.

I have never ridden a Chinese bike, but this reminds me of the 1970's when Honda came in and destroyed the competition. Time will tell whether the welds, parts, etc stand up to the big 4. EDIT : I live in California where Amazon doesn't ship Chinese bikes, but maybe other companies will. Either way, I like the dash boards of Chinese bikes because it appears that they thought of everything because it is nearly as comprehensible as a car. I'll admit the HAWK has one of the best dual sport dash boards that I've seen online, not in person. Also, how do you know they are real BREMBO brakes and not clones ?

I'm looking for a new bike to daily in the city with the odd longer ride at weekends, here in the Philippines. I currently have an R3 and a Yamaha Sniper (Exciter in some Asian markets). The CFMOTO 300 CLX is a bike that I am seriously considering as a replacement for both. Similar fuel consumption to the 150cc Sniper, and more than enough power for the roads here on Mindanao. I was previously considering a Royal Enfield Scram 411. To put the pricing into perspective. I could buy the CF MOTO and a brand new Yamaha Sniper, for the same price as the Scram. I'll admit that the Scram would be the better, off road, bike. But the majority of my riding is on tarmac, or concrete roads. With only a very little done on dirt or gravel tracks. An upgrade to dual sport tyres would likely sort any issues there. Simply put. The CFMOTO offers unbeatable value for the price.

Here in the PH, there are a couple of CFmoto shops selling those bikes. But that's the problem, just a couple. Would be hard to get proper maintenance on these bikes since a lot of shops(local non CFmoto) don't even know how to work on these. Parts availability and reliability is also a concern since the brand is just starting out in the country. We really don't know how long the CFmoto parts will last since it's fairly new. And yes, there's still that idea that since it's a Chinese company selling for such a cheap price, there might be corners that are cut. I mean the 450sr has fake carbon fiber parts, a slider that's plastic that isn't actually connected to the bike's frame and smaller diameter forks compared to similar displacement bikes. No idea how much that affects performance/safety since again, not much data yet. Local reviewers say both good and bad things so I guess we'll just have to see if these bikes are going to be worth it or not. For now, I guess it boils down to "do you want japanese/US/etc bike brand reliability or do you want to try something new that looks cool and on paper is good for cheaper with no guarantees."

    • @thang1742

how is there corners cut if they are giving you a full fairing bike??? any other company leaves them exposed because plastics cost $ and if you look at the bolts those are even higher quality than on regular bikes using screws. cf moto and chinese bikes are really popular in asia and europe for people who are in the low cc range and cost. most people dont even ever put alot of mileage on the bikes anyways any one can do an oil change on these things.

And yes, anyone can do an oil change but what if oil change isn't the issue my dude? As I mentioned before, you can choose reliability over something new and cheap with no guarantees on reliability. @@thang1742 I again also mentioned that reviewers say both good and bad things about the bikes. Yeah, it's nice they're using new features but will they last? Will the bike survive as long as the other manufacturers' bikes? That is the question right? Reliability? And again my dude. Where's your facts about other dealers having lower quality bolts/screws than CFmoto? Come on man. Respect your love for CFmoto but where are the facts. And no offence to your preference but I and other bikers do still love that old school rpm range tachometer. It's just sweeeet.

@Blood Asp they have been around for years you need to go to Indian and philapino reviews of it. Like I said with the screws and other small details you need to check it in person. Regarding longevity they have been around a long time and the engines are built in the same as ktm ( not the best reliability) but they actually do alot of lower end p twin engines found in kawa bmw and ktm and many others. Ducati and alot of other brands have crap reliability but people still buy them regardless.

Still too expensive, just rewind to 2013-2014 and all the prices seeing here would scream middle bike segment like mt09/street triple. And dont tell me that it is because of inflation and all that, am too old to argue. prices just shoot up instantly before we even were in any crisis. Prices just get hiked up on a whim it seems and we get now budget bikes with electrical gizmos we dont need.

Maybe you don’t need it or care but some of us have been waiting for bikes with more tech to come on the market and be under 10k MRSP. And the price is what it is we can all talk about prices from back in the day and compare hell there was a time you could fill a car completely up with $5 at the gas station but that’s not where we are adjust adapt and keep moving this is the new normal might as well accept it 🤷🏾

A lot are talking about chinese bikes. Built quality, technical issues etc. 2 things though. If you are one of the guys that would buy a bike from ali express like I've seen a lot of idiots in youtube, well you are just that an idiot. If you are talking about cfmoto or qj motor though, you are talking about company monsters not the scam small backwater chinese companies that are selling cheap electric junk. I owned a Honda CB500X and a Moto Guzzi V85TT Travel, both good quality bikes especially the MG was a really premium quality bike. In comparison, the CFmoto 800MT is impressively well build and in par with other western manufacturers and in some cases even better. This makes sense though. It was only a matter of time for the Chinese to compete with westerners in terms of quality, price and specs. Also the Japanese, especially Honda, are overcharging their bikes. Come on Honda 12000€ for completely naked Transalp? A supposedly offroad capable bike where I have to spend another 5000€ to equip with essential stuff. Wth
