    Its so crazy to see how friendly they all are compared to living in a big modern city that has everything. I used to have neighbour from Morocco, and he was just like that. He was the only person here greeting and helping everyone, where he could. He got hired here by a big car manufacture here in germany, and other than rent, and food. he sended every penny he earned back to his family in Macocco. They are definitely different over there.

      Living in society, saying 'hello good morning!', helping each other, etc. appeared to be eliminated in "developed (individualist) countries". Luckily, Mediterranean countries try not to lost our familiar culture. Though, in this case, I think that they are friendly because poverty make you remember that together we are stronger. Probably there is not a romantic reason behind that.❤

    You are rich man, maybe not monetarily but the experiences youve lived through good and bad have made you rich in life. You are living much more than many people claiming to be alive. These Morocco vids have been awesome. I could never imagine getting out there to ride. Maybe one day.

    Great video. My family is from Algeria, in mountains and towns very similar to these. I don’t know when exactly you tried this but the Sun really beats the hell out of you there. Kinda wondering how it feels for a Canadian. I also really liked how you tried your best at communicating with everyone in both Arabic and French. That small step already goes a long way to get those kind reactions from any local.
    Waiting for episode 3 !
    Edit: just noticed the lack of leaves on the trees, so it was probably winter. Must not have been too hot then!

      I also love Morocco and visited several times to backpack there. I learned that about 30k children in morocco live on the streets and about a quarter of the youth in morocco is unemployed. Mountain Biking is an expensive hobby so I guess people of morocco have more existential issues than riding a bike for pleasure.

    • @anass-SOLO
      @anass-SOLO Місяць тому

      @@cloneoffunkenstein I do not think that you have visited Morocco. You cannot understand the culture. Moroccans love horse riding and other sports such as racing pigeons. Football. I am a fan of bicycles and I am a poor person. I have 3 road bicycles, 2 carbon and 1 aluminum mountain bike.
      Of course, in large Moroccan cities there are many cyclists
      We Moroccans consider these areas that you are witnessing to be poor and remote areas. They love this simple life and are not obligated to stay there. Most of them can leave to live in the cities and look for work. As for children living on the streets, this is normal. There is homelessness even in the richest and richest European countries.
      What I am trying to say here is do not compare your life with the lives of other peoples. This is a mistake. What you think of as poverty or backwardness is a way of life for some.
