Euan Harrison Nightwish has said that Floor will be the last female singer of the band and if she does leave then either Marco sings alone or Nightwish breaks up. But I hardly doubt she will leave for a long time but you never know what could happen
@@bjrnhagen2853 He's still with the management side of the group. I think he finally came to the conclusion that his insomnia is serious enough that it can't be managed enough to the point where he can get back behind the drums and consistently play the way he used to. That had to be an incredibly difficult decision for him to make, but I respect him so much for that. Although Kai is a very worthy drummer to handle the drum throne, I'll miss Jukka immensely. Floor is the absolute perfect singer for Nightwish. She has the right mix of rock and operatic vocals and knows when to use them. As AMAZINGLY talented as Tarja is, she never had the voice for music that is this heavy. A lot of people say that they don't like Floor on this song, but it's my favorite one I've heard her sing with Nightwish. People don't like how she adds some rasp to it, I LOVE that. As a lyric soprano, and looking back to End of An Era, Tarja's voice always soared high above the band's music, sort of like a bird chirping from above a busy city, it made for an ethereal atmosphere. With Floor, as the dramatic soprano she is and capable of so much versatility, she blasts through the song like a war goddess, and it just leaves you gaping at the epicness. Basically, to me, it was always Tarja = Angelic; Floor = Goddess. Both are good, but I prefer the goddess that can make the earth rumble with her voice. Also, who doesn't love that butter-smooth slide to D6?

It's a good thing that you added 21st Century, for had you included the 20th, you'd have been very wrong. For there was no greater band than YES, with 5 Virtuosos: • Jon Anderson • Steve Howe (greatest lead guitarist, ever!) • Chris Squire (greatest bass guitarist, bar none!) • Rick Wakeman • Alan White
+MrFishManify If you haven't already watch his face when Floor pounds the final note in Ghost Love Score in Buenos Aires. I think he creamed his pants.
haha! I noticed this too, like was pointed out he makes a face in Ghost love score at Wacken too. Look at tuomas aswell in this clip though, he throws his hands up temporarily in disbelief after snapping his neck round to get a look. No bloody wonder either, Several of the band members have made faces of pure joy or shock when Floor hits certain notes and even on the stage in general they look much happier and proud that they landed the best female singer in the genre . They really don't know how lucky they are to have gotten her.
I watched a video of Floor and Marco doing a holiday song last Christmas where Marco made it very clear at the end of the song how much he loves singing with Floor, the way he put his arm around her shoulder and tucked his head against her with the biggest smile I've ever seen. This happened before he made the leaving Nightwish announcement and before he won the Finland version of Masked Singer. I can't wait to hear the connection between those three events.
Im 60 although I haven't gone to many concerts although I love music. With that said, I would have given most anything to have been in that crowd for that 2013 Wacken show. Seeing a Nightwish concert is now on my bucket list. They have rejuvenated my love for music. I'm in Virginia in the United States and not many ere know this band but most everyone that knows me now has at least heard them or heard of them.
Empus solo gave me the shivers... Not only the difficulty, but the tone of his guitar... What a musician. And I feel that he has always been the stable element of Nightwish.
Floor is the absolute best vocalist I have ever heard in my life! I've been listening to Nightwish on and off for 15 years and right now I believe they are untouchable!
Marco Heitala has a great voice too. With Floor? Together they're deadly. The notes she hits are definitely not of this Earth. And Marco's voice drives hers to reach even greater heights. Jukka on drums just killing it. F*ck. Absolutely amazing. Nightwish just slayed. (Guitar, bass, and keyboards not to be overlooked, either.)
She's literally a fucking goddess... vocal chords just shouldn't DO that! And harmonies and guitar and melodies and drummer is a beast. Gives me fucking chills!
Here's why I think this was the best metal show in the history of genre. They are the only ones who make it harder for them self while preforming live. And that's why this was the finest moment in metal history
I don't know what is more shocking, the actual note or the fact it was effortless. Every time I think I have heard her entire vocal range she keeps raising the bar.
Hamster Munchies She has done a lot more higher notes in With After Forever and Revamp. It's like sh'e Hiding her voice from us in most Nightwish songs.
This performance was beyond words. Everyone in the band did an excellent job in all areas. Cameras everywhere, 71,000 plus watching every single move, no, no pressure here! Well done!!!
I cannot stop listening this song. Its so amazing to hear something that can really sound thousand times better in a concert than on Studio. The best movement that Nightwish could made was to incluid Floor on the band. I fucking love Nighwish because of this.
Dude..right? I can't wait to see them live, I saw their last live show with Annette in SLC and it was....OK. The vibe is going to be so different, Floor is going to blow everyone away
I love this version. Floor is just incredible at performing each piece in a dynamic way. I think it's safe to say she loves what she does. I can hear it in her voice and see it in her body language. She wants to share with us. So does the rest of nightwish. They are not just a band, they are artists sharing their talents and stories.
This song is so intense it defies description. You cannot compare this level of intelligent writing and performance with the crap that is on pop radio stations. Thank you Thuomas for this incredible piece of music and thank you Miss Floor for what you have brought to this band.
In my opinion Floor Jansen is the summit of vocal style and execution. There are a number of female Rock and Metal Vocalists who may have one or more of her abilities however, None can touch her in total. Tuomas, Marco, Emppu, Jukka, Troy and Kai may not always show it, but during different interviews it is obvious that they all know that the epitome of Female vocalists has become one of them and they are amazed as much as we are not only with her vocal talent but also her stage presents and her stunning beauty. She is a gift to all of us who love Nightwish and rock!!!
Shes versatile and is a good singer but any style she sings is sung better by people that specialize in that style. Floors rock style doesn't compare to Brittany Slayes or Doro but she's good at it, her classical style (these days anyway, she used to be pretty damn spectacular classical) doesn't compare to Tarja or Lori but she can manage ok, her pop rock doesn't compare to Sharon or someone like Haley Williams tho she gets the job done i suppose and her growls definitely don't compare to Tati of Jinjer or I Wrestled A Bear Once by a stretch. She's *good* at all styles except growls but not any more exceptional than countless others. She is prob best fit for this era pf nw because of her versatility but Floor in After Forever was absolutely perfection like nw was with Tarja! I listen to her from that time on the regular (invisible circles is god tier symph metal). I truly hope they come back with some more legendary songs for Floor, she has done it before and so have they but not quite there anymore. And for what its worth Tarja shouldn't have fanservice nw medleys anymore, she doesn't have her heart in it and chooses to not do them justice like she once did and you can tell just does it to throw a bone to old nw fans.
Geralt of Rivia on lead guitar. Sauroman on bass. Great fantasy inclusion of band members. Lovely earthy beat offset by some fabulous vocals by Floor. Love the solo by Geralt.
Wow. This was actually a song I always skipped when I listened to Once, I considered it a filler track. Now, with Floor, it is something else, and I just realized how awesome it is. Incredible performance. I think this is their best line-up ever, and I hope they will keep Floor forever.
José Domingo Ramírez Martínez im with ya on that this was and still is my favorite from Once. and that album has alot of great songs on it. also with ya on Floor never leaving.
Live performance is always more impressive...As a Finn I don´t agree all of your text but we have our humble opinions of things...Just keep on rocking!!! ; )
Jari Saarenpaa - For what it is worth, I love all the five Nightwish albums with Tarja the best. They were the best and most authentic Finnish metal band then in their sounds. The distinct, moving and soulful Finnish melancholy in songs like Angels falls first, Sleeping sun, Two for tragedy is no more with the addition of Marco, Troy and Floor. Tarja is indeed a true Finnish voice.
Fantastic piece of metal. Floor is a great singer and has a prominent stage presence. You cant compare her to previous singers nor can you compare previous singers to her....they all have their own characteristics and personas which they brought to the band
That high note was very impressive but for me the biggest highlight of the performance was the guitar solo. It snatched my wig and threw it on the moon. Pure perfection. Sad that no one really talks about it.
I fell in love with jukka... how badass he is. He's brutal, passionate and soulful. Even he has been step aside from the band.. and all the members, of course. I love floor too. All the old songs with floor's voice as well.. how I became addicted to this band.. 🖤
Esta gran canción sonaría bien hasta cantada por un mudo. IMPRESIONANTE. Floor sin palabras, Annet un amor. Me encantan las dos versiones. Toumas un verdadero genio.
It’s just happiness pure to see Nightwish so fucking happy and fucking it all up (in the very best ways) feeling themselves because they’re like yesssss. We are back. This is the dream. We’ve arrived, the bullshit is over. It’s balls out awesome from here on!

The show was really great. The view, the crowd…it was so amazing, looking out at 71,000 people. What an absolute blast to see this released!

Till love do me part

Perfection my messenger from hell
Wine turns to water

To take part in this devil's chess game
Spit on me, let go, get rid of me

Valhalla is the place where Vikings go to when they die, you stupid fuck.
@@mikeymikey9713 She's Dutch, you stupid fuck.
Amen. And again, behold, the gods looked down upon the Earth and said it is good and for the benefit of all Mankind.
Nightwish is literally the best group of musicians in the 21st century.
Easily
It's a good thing that you added 21st Century, for had you included the 20th, you'd have been very wrong.
For there was no greater band than YES, with 5 Virtuosos:
• Jon Anderson
• Steve Howe (greatest lead guitarist, ever!)
• Chris Squire (greatest bass guitarist, bar none!)
• Rick Wakeman
• Alan White
Emppu's face at 4:35 : barely holding in the laughter after he realized they've got a goddess on stage xD
+MrFishManify If you haven't already watch his face when Floor pounds the final note in Ghost Love Score in Buenos Aires. I think he creamed his pants.
+Dave Mason I think we ALL did.
I don't think I've ever seen his face not look like that though on stage. He's always smiling and laughing on stage it seems like.
He looks like he wants to take a shit though, or tired.
Floor fits so well and the rest of the band still crushing it all these years later. Nightwish 🤘
What do you say, when someone has a heavently voice, i love you...your voice makes me happy...queen
I love everything on Showtime Storytime, but this end sequence is superb, I'd like the hear a whole song in that style
Hell! I love the way this woman sings with such passion uff
4:23
Oh... my... GOD. BOTH VOCALISTS. FLIPPING GOODNESS
Some of my favorite moments are when floor and marco team up on the vocal. Hits me right in the Emotions™
@@ronswasonbutcuter4474 they're divine together, aren't they? Oh my such a gift to humanity
Now Nightwish has the best combination of the two past singers, perfection!!
Can't wait to see them live with Floor!!!!! :DDDD
Gonna miss you Marco, I hope you find what you need 😢
Amen nightwish bro
Floor hits a FCKING D6 at the end! I think it's her highest note and she hits it so easily
highest note she can hit is F6 :))
Storytimer Geo F6 is REALLY high.. =)
I didn't know she could sing that high
you can hear at at Ilosaarirock (2013).
I don't know what is more shocking, the actual note or the fact it was effortless. Every time I think I have heard her entire vocal range she keeps raising the bar.
Hamster Munchies
She has done a lot more higher notes in With After Forever and Revamp. It's like sh'e Hiding her voice from us in most Nightwish songs.
Floor is amazing. She can do things that'll bring the band to places they've never been before. I'm excited to see their new work!
1:32 and 4:22 Perfect intervals, perfect singers. Both of them. I got Floorgasm and Marcorgasm at the same time.
I did too no homo tho
Its by far my favorite Romanticide video, amazing.
OK, that was awesome. Crazy vocals, epic drumming, nice guitar from Emppu.
0:33 girl on the right seems sooo into it! Love when the audience really enjoys the show!
She makes live versions sound better than the studio ones... Amazing, love her
dude Floor is amazing..She sound like a goddess
She IS a goddess
she is like Tarja and Anette in one!
Dude..right? I can't wait to see them live, I saw their last live show with Annette in SLC and it was....OK. The vibe is going to be so different, Floor is going to blow everyone away
Pepe Vargas Actually, she is not their combinations. But a brilliant her self ;)
I love this version. Floor is just incredible at performing each piece in a dynamic way. I think it's safe to say she loves what she does. I can hear it in her voice and see it in her body language. She wants to share with us. So does the rest of nightwish. They are not just a band, they are artists sharing their talents and stories.
The night the Queen of Metal throne was seized. And she holds it still in 2020...
Well said.
And for what its worth Tarja shouldn't have fanservice nw medleys anymore, she doesn't have her heart in it and chooses to not do them justice like she once did and you can tell just does it to throw a bone to old nw fans.
the solo is insane!!
Geralt of Rivia on lead guitar. Sauroman on bass. Great fantasy inclusion of band members. Lovely earthy beat offset by some fabulous vocals by Floor. Love the solo by Geralt.
What a performance... Marko and Foor.. OMG you are the best
That solo! Short but SO energetic! Just the way I love solos!
Tarja is indeed a true Finnish voice.
why the hell would you skip a nightwish song?
Such a shame that Once is not on Spotify :(
Fantastic piece of metal.

Floor is amazing! Please record all album with her vocals. Awesome!
Jukka smashing those drums, damn.
4:29 love the way Tuomas admired the two beating that high note
One of the best live performance I've ever seen of Nightwish!
Meine Güte, irgendwie sind die Kommentare bei jedem Nightwish-Video voller deutscher Furries. Wie kommt das? :D
BEST female singer on the world and her emotion on the stage?. I love her stage presentation. True profesional and woman with music heart :)
One of the best live performances I've ever seen.
Woah. First time hearing this singer, and I have to admit that I'm impressed. Nightwish's on the right track!
This song is made for Floor ❤️🔥 absolutely ethereal, i feel like a valkyrie myself
Heard a bunch of groups in my 63yrs. Best sounding/arranged music these ears have ever sampled. Simply amazing. Missed them in Dallas in 2018..must return soon guys..
2020 at the earliest, when they likely going to start touring for the new album they are about to record this summer.
