I love how the best pilots in the world are just ordinary men and women. You would never know they're flying the most advanced piece of hardware ever designed unless they told you it.
This makes me miss being in flight test so much, and being around these wonderful, crazy, ultimate professional, jocks and test pilots..... I still have the F-22 SPO decal on my decidedly civ engineers note book (not in aviation any longer) - i was (besides the F-22 testing) Have Blue, senior trend, and some other programs...... the best years of my life - hands down, bar none. Check your 6 guys........ love ya
Proud to live in Anchorage, Alaska, home of the 477th Fighter Squadron. I see these guys fly all year long, in all kinds of weather, and of course at the "Arctic Thunder" demos. This plane is amazing, even in it's relatively-slow "airshow" mode, and that doesn't scratch the surface of what it can do at altitude and high speed.
who ever has made this video .... its awesome ... especially the slow-motion effects are great. F 22 is the best plane ever and her pilots are amazing :)
@RICARDO People usually refer to their vehicles as"she" and "her". e.g. "she's a runner," "look at her go". When things go wrong " she's moody" is another. I'm sure you've heard these before. How's my English?
The Glitch Mob, they have some awesome music, for me, it made the video come alive. As I watched the video, I kept thinking, I have the album that that song came off of. Great work for whoever put this together and tons of respect for the pilots who are bigger than rock stars.
I can't come to terms as to why people give this plane so much ridicule. Seeing a Raptor fly in an airshow once in my life is an experience I will never forget any time soon. (I'm Canadian, so seeing an F-22 in Canadian airspace won't be happening often :P) but kudos to you guys who designed and built this airplane. Obviously it has been no perfect process in implementing it (it just saw combat for the first time last year, 9 years after it entered operational service), but the Raptor's technologies haven't been remotely seen in fighter aircraft before it and when you experiment with new technology that people don't have experience with, its almost expected that things will go wrong at some point. But these guys knew this from the start, and overcoming them is what makes the Raptor an even better airplane in the end; people need to see this plane fly right before their eyes before they can make judgements about it.
I totally agree. I've been to several air shows and watched this plane show very little of its capability. The US government allowed the F35 to be sold to other countries.... but for some reason the F22 has been kept just in US hands. I do not think the US government has allowed it to be sold to others due to the fact that we, the civilian population, really has no idea of what this plane is actually capable of. I've been around some air bases and have heard others talk about the differences between the F35 and F22. From what I've discovered, in a heads up dogfight, the F22 is by far the premier air superiority plane. When it gets its upgrades like the F35, this plane will be unstoppable. There is no match to the F22, period. Love the plane, love the guys in the cockpit, love the program. Only other plane I love more is the warthog. The blackbird is a very close 3rd.
Man most of the money that goes into building these project don't go into the planes themselves , but into military project hidden from the public, hence the planes aren't build up to their maximum and are way to much expensive. Such machines and all wars are basically made to fuel money into other projects, meanwhile we get a lower quality than we would normally get.
AS a former SF NCO, my willie J can cut through diamonds after watching this badass bird. Be afraid, VERY afraid. You can't fight what you can't see. By the time you can see it...……….YOUR DEAD!! They attack from AMBUSH, travel in packs and soon will be fitted with LAZERS!! Have a NICE DAY!!
thank you pilots for being the best and flying the best aircraft ever made its always good to see them out and about.i usaully hear them first then try to find them.i live in kenai, alaska and see them along cook inlet and a while back on a clear day did a big uturn above my home.thanks again be safe up there.
I Always wanted to b fighter pilot but not in da cards , so am here giving support to those who do. But am thankful for serving overseas combat wombed warrior veteran army . N all who served with me. Stay stafe ya we appreciate ya
Is it arrogant to say that I'm gonna start working towards an F-22 pilot spot in a few months? I already know I'm like the least qualified person: awful eyes and doesn't like school. I'm actually in pretty good shape, I'm in MCJROTC, I have a really good ability to learn the things I enjoy quicker than most, and I have the mental endurance to work hard till I get what I want. I just feel like those couple negatives just throws me out of the whole game. Should I man-up and face my fears or look for another airforce profession?
There are only two types of fighters. The The targets and the Fighters. Hell yeah baby. F22 raptor is so sexy and the fighter pilot who flew it is highly trained and skilled in every situation... I can be your wing man anytime... Maverick said to iceman... (Top Gun)
with the cost of each plane, shouldn't they be in a hardened hangar. i mean in case a war broke out, one bomb could wipe out the entire fleet. just curious!
Purple Haze you clearly know nothing of the capabilities of the United States. These are the very aircraft that they send to make sure nothing gets “bombed”.
bad ass I love it the F 22 I live not to far the airbeas I see the F 22's every day fly by some times the like to show off I love the sound of the afterburners make a loud noise thunders of monsters in the skies
+garand1459 they wait to do that before they get in the airplane. The leg straps are worn very tight for obvious reasons, so if they were to buckle them before hand, they'd have to walk hunched over until they were strapped in to the jet
+dyce189 Ahh, didn't realize they were buckled, that's...different and I guess interesting. The straps we wear, you put your legs through when you put your harness on.
+garand1459 Yeah I've done a bit of skydiving in my lifetime and we also put our legs through. But I've flown in F-16s a couple times as well, and believe me, you don't want those straps buckled until you're ready to climb in.
+jason ojeda Yes it will. The F-22 is currently undergoing research to incorporate the JHMCS, the only hold-up is interference with current displays in the cockpit.
I really hate to see the United States Air Force 325th Fighter Wing at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, Florida loose the 43rd Fighter Squadron "Hornets" and the 95th Fighter Squadron "Bone Heads" because of that damn Hurricane Michael destroying the base! Sad 😭
F-35 V F-22 let’s see the program for the 22 was cheaper, faster, had less problems and produced a better fighter. Yeah we should have scrapped the 35 and built 300-500 more 22s. Honestly if the navy needed something so badly they probably could have engineered a folding wing, stronger gear and a tail hook onto a B model 22. Aside from stealth though an 18 model with thrust vectoring would give the maneuvering capabilities of the 22.
The F-22 is in no way cheaper. The F-22 was over 300 million per fighter and its cost in mass production would’ve been 150 million! The F-35 is in mass production and is the most advanced fighter in the world so it would’ve obviously cost the most. The F-35 is way cheaper also at 80 million per F-35A and can do way more than the raptor can. It can also do more sorties than the raptor it’s cheaper to maintain than the raptor and easier to maintain.
R W you’re not factoring in development costs the F-35 is the most expensive weapons system in history costing 1.2 trillion dollars to develop the F-22 cost 67 billion. Now at 150 million a unit I can build and maintain the hell out of some F-22s also the F35 cost 94 million for the cheapest A model and 122 million for the B model the C lands in the middle at 107 million. And like any other fighter if a new mission came up the 22 could have been easily redesigned for the mission as was done with the several models of F-18 and F-15. The only real ability the 22 could never account for was the VTOL. And redesigns would have been fairly inexpensive when compared to the cost of the 35 considering 67 billion for development is only 5.8% of what the 35 cost to build. And continued program cost is estimated to be another 1.5 trillion dollars. Between now and 2044. Situationally the 35 beats the 22 in awareness but in a dog fight the 22 has the speed, rate of climb, and maneuverability advantage plus a better power to weight ratio and better range. The ending fact is the 22 is the cheaper, better, faster, platform that could have been built to fulfill the missions later that the F35 does.
trace mitchell also the raptor has two engines which already in itself means higher cost for maintenance. Don’t forget the raptor had it’s flaws also which were deadlier than any flaw the F-35 had. What are basically trying to say because the F-15 was so expensive instead of the F-16 they should just somehow magically redesign the F-15 lmao
Every fighter pilot in the USAF should have one of these. Thanks Obama...I guess the money is better spent in Iran. Figure I'll vent while I'm still a civi

That's so cringe.. it's a machine - it's an "it"
Enzo you’re uncultured then
@RICARDO Ali's right, ships and planes are referred to as 'she' and 'her', maybe learn some history and culture before chiming in
@@Enzoxvx It dates back to the early 1800's, maybe educate yourself?
My friends and I in rotc watch this all the time. That's the end goal right there!

Helicopter jump was awesome!
Belle Chasse is right next to where I live, Mandeville. I see F-18's as well as 16's fly over my house. It sure is beautiful.
holy moly its not everyday that you see some people as impressive as you guys.
I live right next door to Langley AFB base and see these great jets fly all the time.
We need at least 300 more of these beasties! They are F15s & F117s combined in one awesome package!
thank you pilots for being the best and flying the best aircraft ever made its always good to see them out and about.i usaully hear them first then try to find them.i live in kenai, alaska and see them along cook inlet and a while back on a clear day did a big uturn above my home.thanks again be safe up there.
Damn y'all really gave the Longhorn the call sign "Sooner." Poor bastard...
I thought Cpt. Bright, callsign NOTSO was brutal; but as an OU alum I can get behind this.
His intelligence and experience is unbelievable. I’m thrilled he’s on our side and not flying for a different country. 🇺🇸
Damn... this is a very good looking trailer! Applause for him who is responsible for the creativity of this.
Love the personal touch in the end...love it! Thank you fellas!
Those are some of the luckiest guys in the world. I hope to be in there shoes when I join.
Congrats Jeff and Mike!!!
Congratulations amazing video for a great aircraft, and very patriotic, nice music!
Great Video and awesome Guys .....thank you for your Service
Ultimate goal for myself is to fly this beast in about 6 years. I can’t imagine what it’d be like getting an F22 assignment on drop night at UPT😍
I’ll be right there with you brother
Gimme another 8?
Would be 3 for me, but hopefully the same. Best case scenario for all of us is an ENJJPT slot and drop raptor from there
Update?
I Always wanted to b fighter pilot but not in da cards , so am here giving support to those who do. But am thankful for serving overseas combat wombed warrior veteran army . N all who served with me. Stay stafe ya we appreciate ya
This is just Amazing seeing that plane in action is just Incredible
Mad respect to the 22 peeps. Craziest thing is their very first flight is a solo. No 2 seater trainer aircraft like the f16 and f15
Congrats Sattler. Thats awesome!
I NOTICED A STACK OF "RED CUPS", AND A WALL FULL OF "WHISKEY, LIQUOR".........GOOD EXAMPLE FOR THE AIR FORCE!
Lol okay bub
Love the video! Sorry I couldn't be at the graduation but congrats to you all!
Its silhouette is iconic
2:35 😂 poor f15 driver. You can tell hes just like.. damn it...
Hands down the elite of the elite
Proud to be an American - you guys rock!!!
Thats why i love the f22 raptor
Respect! Thank you for sharing
THE most awesome plane, yet , ancient electronics technology... its only gonna get better !
Loving The Glitch Mob playing. :D
Awesome video. Living the dream.
I see f-22 raptor so many times were I live cause I live near air force base
Thumbs up just alone for the choice of music!!!
It’s hard to imagine that in thirty years after the next generation of fighters comes out we will ever look at this awesome get as old lol
Amazing stuff. Love it.
4:56 Nick Cage?
Pretty slick. Props!
What a sick video!!!

My god gotta say you guys are bad asses just no doubt about it your awesome Thank You also very much.
Nobody complained about the music? Nobody? I sampled here and there but it seemed like it was on continuously. The airplane makes some awesome sounds.
looks fun where do I buy one
Great Video !
The old F-4 at 03:24, is that used for aggressor training? Against the F-22 you may as well be flying a Sopwith Camel!
I was probably just used for an air show
Such a beautiful bird
That machine is something far beyond an aircraft,,,,,Jesus!
why why why put music in video? let us hear the jet
There was PROBABALY no audio for most of the better half of the video
Slow motion audio isn't a very nice sounding thing...
Thing looks like it handles like a stunt plane but with a whole fighter/bomber armament.
Raptor pilots are 21st Century Jedi Knights.
with the cost of each plane, shouldn't they be in a hardened hangar. i mean in case a war broke out, one bomb could wipe out the entire fleet. just curious!
Purple Haze you clearly know nothing of the capabilities of the United States. These are the very aircraft that they send to make sure nothing gets “bombed”.
Nothing will get close enough to bomb those planes
Have you tried hovering a jet?
whats the name of the song at the beginning?
Great vid! I'm assuming the commander approved it.
Greatest plane ever
A great aircraft we should have at least 200 more and 500 F 35 Plus have a bombers nobody would mess with us
bad ass I love it the F 22 I live not to far the airbeas I see the F 22's every day fly by some times the like to show off I love the sound of the afterburners make a loud noise thunders of monsters in the skies
And the Chinese still thinks their F22 wannabe planes can compare to this brilliant piece of tech
awesome!:)
why didn't they put their legs through the leg holes in their harness...if they need to eject that's kinda important
+garand1459 they wait to do that before they get in the airplane. The leg straps are worn very tight for obvious reasons, so if they were to buckle them before hand, they'd have to walk hunched over until they were strapped in to the jet

+dyce189 Not flown in an F16 but yeah I hear ya, I'm in Marine aviation.
wonder if they will get the same helmets as the f-35
+jason ojeda Yes it will. The F-22 is currently undergoing research to incorporate the JHMCS, the only hold-up is interference with current displays in the cockpit.
jason ojeda they're going to get something similar. Not quite as advanced but something better than the current JHMCS
What's the music?? Love the video.
Is in description: The Glitch Mob-We Can Make The World Stop
KattaKPL it is not in the description?
KattaKPL thanks)

Can a foreigner become f-22 fighter pilot after becoming US citizen

Nice
Do you need a concealed weapon permit to fly that thing? 😉
hahaha. I see what you did there. : )
awesome!

sexy jet. sexy squad. git some.. daiquiris through a drive thru. #louisianalife
I bet DACT against a Raptor is hard.
You don't need to be maneuverable when you can shoot someone down 20 miles away.
Yes you do. You never know when a close engagement will happen.
If I succeed and attend this B-course (in shaa Allah) I'll react to this comment with: 🐝course
To bad no more F-22s at TY....All dispersed over the United States!
Why are the best planes crashing in Florida??? I crash and burn on ace combat but hey that’s digital world. What’s going on??
There’s a thing called maintenance and lot of people get lazy and do things the wrong/ easier way.
Thank God that this aircraft in this technology will never give it to Israel
Deeeez GEEEEES
Love that airplane, best America can build... but OMG that thing is expensive... you could buy a brand-new Airbus A380 double decker jet for less than just one F-22. +Scott Thede Raptors are sexy planes, just saw them today landed at my airfield, came up really close to them, took pictures but could not touch planes. just like you can't touch a hot bartender.
Scott But, we now(2019, May) are spending 116 billion a year on illegals and they are flooding in. Damn demorats really want votes over Raptors MAGA
Be easy on the fools, sweetie!
