2 green chilies

1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder

Today I prepared this tomato rice with 1 C basmati rice (200 gms. Serving : 4 persons), Used approx. same measure of ingredients as per yr recipe with little good amount of desi ghee + oil. Water for pressure cooking used i.e. 1 C rice - 2 cups water (tasted the water for salt). Pressure cooked for only 1 whistle. Let the pressure released of its own and opened the lid and wow !!!!!! The result was amazing. I (gently) separated the rice with a fork. A moist and tasty real tomato 🍅 rice.
Your 3 recipes I tried tawa pulao, aaloo jeera, and today tomato rice all tasty. God bless you and family abundantly.

Love this recipe. Its foolproof. Tried and tested✅ i adjusted the water content though..the basmati we get here needs a little more water to get cooked.Have tried the recipe with the aromatic kaima rice we get here, and it came out good.The taste is simply amazing. I always cook this recipe whenever my husband have to leave for work early, so i can cook this one pot meal for him. No side dish needed, although raita would go along best. I have replaced cumin with fennel seeds coz am a malayali and we dont usually enjoy jeera in our meals. Came out fantastic with fennel seeds too. Please do try it, its so easy to make.It hardly takes 30-40 minutes even with my slow cooking and cutting.
