Cool movie. Love the edit style. Nice to see people just having fun snowboarding, instead of more of the same. This reminds me of childhood sessions with the boys.
yooo not gonna lie I fw the first song. I fw the whole video and the editing. all of these people are just getting high off of life and not worrying about a damn thing. I wish I could be surrounded by these people
Nice job TNF! You always have quality content to match with your quality gear and products. Always use your stuff on the mountains or even on the everyday use. Keep up the good work!
Dude, the first 20 seconds, do you know how furious I would immediately become if you poured a can of gasoline on to a fire while I was balance-beam-walking over it? We’re instantly fighting, no conversation or questions asked, on sight lol. Especially if it engulfed my pants in flames 😂
It's the highs, they peaked out either in production or editing. It's unpleasant listen to. Like someone yelling straight into the mic talking over the phone.
It's not even like they ask you to buy anything obviously this is branded if its on the companies youtube like its not just some dudes youtube. They aren't saying "here's our new product". They're literally hanging out
It's a shame to see so many featured athletes not wear helmets on big backcountry trips like this. Popularity in the scene doesn't make you invincible. These trips especially have so many more risks than a typical ski/snowboard day. And what example does it set to younger people or those who are first getting into the sport? Those people are more susceptible to injury, and are at a greater risk without a helmet. It's unfortunate to see support from The North Face for an unsafe practice like this.
@@Toma11 How polite. Rocks haven't gotten harder and heads haven't gotten softer, but the limits of the sport are being pushed further, and with that can come greater risk. There are many reasons to wear helmets, but as has been pointed out, everyone is free to make their own choice. My opinion is that professional athletes set a poor example for the sport when they don't wear helmets. Everyone has the potential to catch an edge and take a fall, a helmet can save your life when unexpected events occur. I'm sure you can look back at news articles of people taking huge whips 10 years ago. No professional plans for a fall regardless of headwear, and a helmet certainly won't hurt.
This comment is so dumb I feel compelled to reply. Newsflash: Snowboarders or skiers are allowed to take their own risks and be responsible for their own actions. Even professional rescuers understand and respect that philosophy. And if you didn't notice, it's 2019 and snowboarding has been around for almost 50 years. If you think snowboarders are societal role models you do need to "grow up."
Snowboarding is not about safety, its about having fun and expressing yourself. We actually do it because we like a certain level of danger. If you want to wear a helmet go ahead but definitely don't comment on what other people should do with their snowboarding.
Madeline S I have a solution for you my friend, it’s called turning your sound down, if it’s to complicated then you might have to look up how to do it but it should work!
No offense but the Burton crew was wack, anything Burton is not really cool in snowboarding, never has been, maybe amongst people that don't know anything. Also, pretty sure absinthe still makes films and Pop is not really considered to be from the old days of snowboarding. Go back and watch tech diff or some of the first totally boards, perhaps 411 snow, that's the old days.
@@iainbenton You are my hero. Did you make an 8mm movie with your dad? Seriously: There was a progression in (outdoor) boarding until Pop, but then not much more happened. Except for story telling, like in 99 words. Burton might be evil (not really), but their riders were the best of the time (and some til today, think Müller, Rice ..).
Amazing video! The North Face, thank you for providing the filmmakers with the means to shoot this on 16mm film! We really appreciate it!
In case anyone was wondering, here are the songs in this order:

Unreal, so much style and not a million double or triple corks
Seems very retro. Retro clothes. Retro snowboarding style. Retro music. I think I like it....maybe.
After multiple viewings I'm still enjoying it. Good work.
perfect!!! looks like classic snowboard video from 2000. love
I'm not exagerating, this is the best freeride video ever, the 90's filter with indie rock music reminds me so much amped 2 mood.... Epic

This is by far the most awesome video I've ever watched on UA-cam.

So sick! Get me out there. Already planning for next season
Great piece of work
Intro song choice was dope, I don't know what people's issue with the song is.
It's the highs, they peaked out either in production or editing. It's unpleasant listen to. Like someone yelling straight into the mic talking over the phone.
@@WilAlexander Doesn't sound peaky to me, I could see it being pretty jarring if I was listening on something tinny sounding however.
i think it's because of left and right channel. Too much wiggling back and forth.
You have to hear it with headphones
It was good, but it hurt
Dig the vid, kind old school and new school. GOOD STYLE
Cool video! Love the parts filmed on film, reminds me of the Warren Miller films.
Best short of 2019? 🤔👏🏼
As a headphone user I had alot of trouble with the opening song, it slowly drove me crazy.
I Love you TNF, and your bags😀

It's not even like they ask you to buy anything obviously this is branded if its on the companies youtube like its not just some dudes youtube. They aren't saying "here's our new product". They're literally hanging out
