    Thanks for the tip on the ruler and measurements. I have always wondered where to line that mark up on my fabric. Is it on the right side of the line on the left side of the line or somewhere in the middle of the line where I place the edge of my fabric. Im trying so hard to get better accuracy. I have noticed that the scant 1/4 inch helps a lot. I have also noticed that different brand rulers aren't exactly the same, so I try to stay with one brand like creative grids or quilters select when cutting out pieces. I enjoyed this tutorial so much, thank you, Joy!

    This project is certainly not for the faint of heart! I think I’d be pulling out the ten hairs I have left… What great gifts you made for Viv and then Jerry. You’re very talented, detailed and a good teacher. This video will help a lot of folks. Thanks for taking the time to share w/ us.

    Thank you for the warning about the pattern giving some wrong measurements! I will definitely be on the lookout for that! I’m going to be making this for my mother-in-law for her 90th birthday!🥳 I think she’ll love it! She’s a quilter and absolutely loves reading and adores her cats!

    I’m more into learning apparel sewing right now but do want to try some quilting also. Probably start off simple like hot pads & table mats. You’re so right about no quality control these days & it can make it difficult. I watched UA-cam video the other day of a quilter and thought it interesting how she keeps track of her quilt pieces. She takes longer quilt pin with yellow head, then she puts an alphabet bead & then earring back on the pin. She showed another back that works little better than earring back. However if she had to use earring back she put little super glue on it. She then used all the alphabet pins to separate all her quilt pieces.

    Thank you, I really appreciate this video and all the advice and tips. I have the fat quarter bundle and the pattern - so it's definitely on my list to make. And there are so many cat lovers, I may make even more than one. 🐈🧡💛💚

      No, I did not know I could get an IPAD cover to match the quilt. I just bought a new keyboard cover for it, so it will have to do for now.

    Could you have used your embroidery machine to do the titles of the books?

    • @Joy4650B
      @Joy4650B  2 роки тому

      I could have embroidered them, but I decided the Scan N Cut was faster and easier.
