My dad just had a massive stroke. Im trying to learn n find hope... please pray for him and me... he needs to pull thru. Find out tomarrow am. Please pray for him!
I am 46, a registered nurse, overweight with hypertension, I had done what I could to manage my htn took my meds, I walked all the at work and outside. I woke up one morning and I smashed into the wall falling over my whole left side was shut down leg was moving but not my arm this was after Thanksgiving 2021, I think I have reached my platae because I just don't have the strength, no income, disability taking forever from my insurance, this is really difficult and the stress my poor wife is going through.
Don't give up sir. I'm praying and hoping for you to get better. You are not alone, and I know it's hard. But we are in this together ❤️. From a stroke survivor 🙏
My first physical therapist told me something I have found 2 be very true your level of recovery after a stroke depends on basically 3 things how much patients and determination your willing 2 have and how much u keep a positive mind set. Food 4 thought.
I had two CVA's in 1969. I was 5 years old. I now am 54 years old. I did physical therapy after my 2 strokes. I was 6 weeks in the coma.. I worked a a special education teacher. I have to say, it takes for some of us, much more time to get vback on our feet.I am hemmiplegic on the right side/ left hemispher was "hit". David Barban
David Barban Last year I had like 3 small strokes. I immediately walked and talked, but I have never been the same. Some days I feel like I'm having small strokes., BECAUSE my speech gets very slurred and it's hard to talk and think, and walk. But I keep on praying and having hope in God that He will bring me totally out of this condition. Pray and have faith in God He's the Master of all doctors. I'll be praying for you too. Let's see what happens.
Hope, keep doing and try doing things as a normal person. I had a stroke ten years ago . The first month was.tough but I didn't give up, keep pushing yourself to be normal eventually you can regain your normal self, every step count. You determination will bring you back to normal. It is painful but never give up. You need to push yourself to regain your strength of your affected side. Never give up.

@@milgredluisen7832 it's depends on how hard the stroke attack. my dad got an small attack around decade ago, he recover pretty quick and can gain most of his strength. unfornutely he got another attack on his 70 last week and now he on his way to recover. stay strong my brother. Stem cell therapy is to help those endogenous adult stem cells (ASCs) to clear away so-called inhibitory molecules so that its regenerative potentials can be triggered for regeneration. God's mercy nano-medication is the only Regenerative Medicine (stem cell therapy). Nano-medication is based on: 1. God formed man out of dirt from the ground (Tanakh) 2. Allah (God) created man from an extract of clay (Quran) Nano-medication consists of God's an extract of clay and pure water. SAH (subarachnoid hemorrhage), central pontine hemorrhagic stroke patients can be cured by nano-medication. If blood vessels can't restore its flexibility as well as elasticity, i.e. those wastes such as AGEs (advanced glycation endproducts) to be cleared away from body, it's impossible to cure stroke. All glory belongs to God !
I had a stroke didn't know the seriousness untill listening these testimonies n reading the comments i didn't stay long to walk but I have seizures from last year may n still having it until now
Not in a single video i found recovery for aphasia caused by stroke. My father had a stroke couple of week back and he is physically fine but his speech and language distorted he can speak fluently but can’t understand whT we talk kind of wermicke’s aphasia. I need some hope
Had two strokes about a year apart. Bad part is that I was recovering from one when the OTHER side stopped working. I worked my a$$ off and learned to walk write swallow and drive again. Walking isn't steady, swallowing still has problems and range of motion is shot all to hell. Does anyone know of what to do when the stroke has hit on both sides?
I had 9 strokes in the hospital after major aortic surgery but I read that all strokes do effect both sides. Although my left was hit, the top of my right foot and hip are numb as well as my left leg, foot and torso. Read "Stronger After Stroke" by Peter Levine. I never accept paralysis, only that I was weak. I now have 100% function on both sides but still weak. It took about 2 to 3 months to walk without a walker or cane. When I was confined to the hospital bed I visualized myself walking. I hope you get better.
Can this go undetected? I had a history of loosing balance forvyears, my body would jerk forward for no reason then I woke up one night with slurr speach, lost of balance a but dizzy. It went away after 40 min .then i developped intense ataxia to my head and on a lesser degree to my legs and arms .doctor have n found anything . A year later i began taking baby aspirin and most of it went away but it tend to come back.
The Pandemic destroyed any chance of me getting regular rehabilitation. Also thanks to Coronavirus I have not been outside in months and it doesn't look like I will ever see outside again.
These bastard governments should and will not be forgiven. AND even private rehab has to toe the line either because they have to kowtow to government authorities or damn insurance companies. Keep searching for physios and carers, if you are lucky like me you will find true heroes that will still be prepared to help.
I had a stroke from covid and it's the size of a small Walnut I'm still having a hard time talking and can't get my head on straight and still a slurred speech it has been a Year am I going to get better?
Don’t give up. It can take years to regain speech, is what I’ve been reading. Read this book “my stroke of insight”, great book. The writer had a major stroke and took about 8 years, according to her, for full recovery.
Sometimes it can take years. No matter what DON'T GIVE UP. Read out loud, write down words you have trouble pronouncing. You may have to see a speech/ language therapist. I had my first stroke in 2020. My memory is still affected. When I am overwhelmed it's hard for me to concentrate, remember things, and my spelling is off ( I can't remember how to spell words). I know it can be fustrating and seem like know understands or care. But do give up on yourself. I have accepted that I may never get all my memory back, nor be a great speller again. Just take it day by day.🌄👍
@@mariaespiritu9512 I have read My stroke insight and unfortunately it was a waste of time. Lol in a nutshell, all she does is talk about herself and stories of her life and gets boring. There's no timeline documented in this book on how to get better and heal oneself and that's what we need. It's common sense. For example It would be great if she said, "2 years from now i started to re-gain cognitive function." Or "it took 5 years to speak clearly, my reading progressed and I was thinking a whole lot more clearly What was she thinking when she decided to write the book? As a stroke person we need this type of material to know what's going on inside our heads at least we can get a ballpark idea. I know everyone is different but still it would have helped. Unfortunately this was more frustrating the more I read the book. She should have wrote a biography. Lol But thank you. I know you meant well!! 🙂
