So i used to play this game when i was a kid and loved it. i recently visited it again like 9 years later and still love it. just i want to get into it competitively now and have people to play with. is there any websites or steams groups or anything that people use for UT2004 for communicating and setting up matches?
Yes, people will play leagues if you sign up for TAMpugs on Combowhore forums or just ask around on their forums to schedule some 1v1s and you'll definitely get some peeps. I know I follow there a lot but it's TAM so if you want join the UT 2004 community group on Steam and there will definitely be some people there you can play games with. I'll hook you up if you got steam, I'm ridiculousrancor, or "what".
Hey Aximon, what do you use for the screen capture of demos? When i screen capture the quality is bad compared to the quality during the game but in your video it looks great quality.
Why, thanks. I think the quality was okay for the time. I mostly used "Dxtory". I would think that nowadays any modern hardware should be fast enough to record everything with any given software - well, at least at 720p. I just bought an nVidia GPU, haven't tried ShadowPlay yet, but expect okay results nonetheless.
@@aximon00000000000001 Tried with shadowplay it's a bit better 1080p, i'm still using windows 7 64 bits, maybe it has something with it... My hardware are ok for ut2004, using 144hz screen and nvidea card gtx 960 but will upgrate it. About demorec, what setting do you put in ut2004.ini? Sometimes when i watch demos it doesn't look as smooth as the gameplay. Thanks
@@speedut2004 I think it was mostly about changing the MaxClientRate to something like 20000 and the ServerMaxTickRate to maybe 60 in the DemoRecDriver. I guess it also depends on the tickrate of the server itself.
Hi aximon, I'm a collector of old gameplays recorded on VHS & DVD from 1980's, 1990's and 2000's and Old Demos (Dem_files) from PC Games. And since that you have uploaded this video from a demo, I wondering if you still have some old stuffs and Demos like this one. Thanks in advance for your answer, keep it up, and you just won a suscriber.
